What's the vibe of the place like?
The ones I've been to the layout is much nicer than a typical strip club and doesn't feel like a skanky club. Oh just looked at pics, would not like that environment at all, too much separation and too big.
You could be like me where you feel its a waste of time, or whatever.
Nothing necessarily wrong with you . However prepare to get into arguments on why you don't like strip clubs quite frequently.
I don't like Miami stripclubs because they feel too much like prequels to rap videos

Strip clubs have different vibes. That one looks like a place to posture like hell rather than just have a good time. Maybe it's me.

I have voiced I am not a fan of strip clubs, but I understand the basic premise to have some type of fun. I get that. Why would go to a strip club just to posture though, is this where people show off money? It makes sense but...
There are like who;e strip club oriented social dichotomies that I just do not understand.

A lot of people have this preconcieved notion that strippy clubs are either like the common dives in movies, the nonstop image-crutches from music videos, or the too expensive to even look the dancer in the eyes scenes from other movies.
There's a lot of inbetween and a lot of places that aren't purposely trying to fit that description are like your typical bar - just with a whole lot more to talk about.

But for me the problem is this: I get no arousal out of it and it feels like I'm choosing to either deny or recognize personhood on a whim.

few people actually go and experience it themselves. the vast majority operate entirely off of what they get from hearsay or the media. its comical how easy it is to spot someone who's taking their first steps into a strippy club

when your money is at that point, you can do what you want where you want and most of the time its separated far enough from everyone else that it doesn't even matter. yacht parties, getaways, large private housings being rented out - that's extremely different from what people should ever expect to even rarely see at a strip club.
Personhood and all that is nice when you're getting to know the people behind their stagenames. Sex is a product just like sports are a product. That's one of the best examples I can think of for you.
And that is where things can get really creepy and illegal.

Worry about personhood if you find yourself in a club full of women who look so strung out and unhappy they can't even hide it well. You're at a strip club, you're going to see some skeezy shit, but for the most part just focus your attention on the girl swinging from the pole or your group.
While my issue with strip clubs isn't exactly that, I can fully understand if someone couldn't ignore their surroundings and didn't enjoy it.
The concept of a strip club might not just fly with you guy, congrats you can save money.
Things are really creepy and illegal in places where police have no reason to be. Strip clubs don't entertain what you're thinking of not only is it sketchy as all hell but because its hilariously bad for business. Don't take this as an asshole comment but I think you watch too many movies when it comes to gathering a mental image of a modern day strip club.
Most are just a different variation of a typical bar.
Are all clubs the same? You've got country themed, urban, college-based, high-roller justforthesakeofchargingextra, etc. Strip clubs are themed the same way. And if anything, they're policed much harder than your typical venue due to the fact that people in America are notoriously wide-eyed when it comes to anything related to sex.
I'm not talking about a strip club.
My comment was a very dark commentary on things people do with disposable income. Sorry if it sounded like strip club commentary.

Out of curiousity, how many of you all in here have been to a strip club? Just curious.
Once, a few friends and I went to a strip club on a dare.
Surprisingly, the experience wasn't that bad. The place was clean, the music was surprisingly good. Good food. Nice atmosphere (if you're into the night club aesthetic). And most of the strippers seemed to have some sort of dance/circus experience because they all seemed to be really athletic and amazing dancers (outside of just shaking their naked body parts around, which was what I was expecting). There were poles all over the place, but there was an EXTREMELY tall pole at the center, and some of the stunts those ladies were doing would have been right at home in a circus act. I was mesmerized, I suppose for all the wrong reasons.
Just be prepared, if you order a shot from a shot girl, you're going to get way more than a shot. I learned the hard way. X_x

Just get some photos up, put up your profile (but don't go overboard), then look at profiles and ask people questions about stuff they've put in their profile. This has all happened and I haven't commented on any of their appearance once.

Same here. Just curious because reading Dy and Devo, there making valid points. Especially if you have worked or dated or just hung with some of the dancers outside of the club.

Haven't been there yet though. Going to the skrip club by myself sounds kinda iffy.
Oh but I have been to a skrip club. Was supposed to go to one in Montreal when I was there for New Years, it was attached to the night club I was at for the night but none of my friends wanted to go inside.
I've been. I'm lucky I'm poor, otherwise I'd have blown my money at a strip club probably.

Went to a few in the UK, but yet to go to one in Montreal. I want to see what's so different about the ones here.
I'm confused by a lot of those bans. Some people banned just for posting images, but some aren't. Some people banned for not adding anything to the thread but some left alone. Really inconsistent.
I only go to strip clubs for bachelor parties/people visiting me in South Florida (usually Scarlets or King of Diamonds). Never been into them myself/would never go just to go, but most of my friends (male and female) enjoy them and everyone always has a good time which is the important thing.

A few but they suck in NJ. If you want alcohol its not full nude, otherwise its soda and water.
On second thought as I typed this I realized its probably a good thing, and helps avoid bad decisions.

I went to a strip club full of bad skrippers next to a porno store in a part of Ohio that shall not be named. People would buy boxes of condoms and then go in the club. I remember a $40 suck and fuck offer from strippers that I turned down. THEY GOT IT IN at that club. Nothing says fun like a gangbang... not that I'd know or anything.
