I just had a thought about the whole "can black people be racist" debate. I think we CAN be, BUT, and this is the big thing here, it won't have one iota as much of an effect on whites as it does on us, mainly because we can only be racist on an individual level, and there aren't hundred+ years old systems and laws in place that would allow us to be oppressive.
Say for example, I was a business owner, and I decided that I'm not hiring any white people, a person could go to just about any other place of employment in the world that would treat them fairly, because society as a whole just isn't gonna let that fly. I would also be more likely to face proper punishment for racist practices. Or say I was a police officer and I decided to start racially profiling white people. How long do you think that would last before I was tossed on my ass and sued for every penny I've ever earned?
That's the difference between random black people being individually racist vs. systems, laws, and a society that allows us to continually be oppressed for hundreds of years.

man there's 3 things i like about my job
1) crazy discounts on sportswear.
2) no dress code. most days i wear bball shorts or soccer pants and a jersey.
3) upselling.
coaches are so eager to buy accessories and customized shit cause their players love it. and my bosses love that i never really fuck up and get folks to buy all kinds of extra shit.
i wish they would let me go out to some of the events so i could get my connections up for more sales or maybe a new gig.
i was actually supposed to work at Best Buy but they never called me in after i spent a whole weekend in their stupid ass training.

Here's why I disagree: IMO racism != prejudice. Anyone can be prejudiced and damn near everyone is. Lets be honest, when you with your fam, you don't say the same things as when in multiracial groups. You might let some shit slide that normally doesn't come out. And there's honestly nothing wrong with that. I mean, if being wary if and not trusting white folk keeps your ass alive, well... Now racism on the other hand is something that only goes one way. First off, I respect your opinion. Nah, WE can't be racist. You better believe you'd be out of business if you didn't hire a white person.
