The physical form of blasphemy
I feel as though anybody can be racist, but not all can dish out systemic racism. If you're part of the clan that thinks every white person is a red devil then you are a racist: point, blank, period, imo.

Ultimately you can make distinctions between racism and prejudice wherein racism means systemic and institutionalized discrimination but it just muddies the waters too much when talking broadly and not in a proper context.

Off topic but despite the fact that it's still retail, and I was shitting on it a bit in the wrassle thread, making sales at BB is hype. Like that shit gives me a high when I sell people a $500 dollar TV when they really came there for the 200.

This is what leo da gawd must of felt in Wolf of Wall St. Expect I'm not fucking over someone's credit...or making that much money.......or going on yachts...

Yeah it was pretty cool selling people cameras. Then our department would get those camera know-it-alls who think that they just need the default lens on a DSLR to take good photos of the moon (not exaggerating here).

Customer: I wanna take pictures of the moon. These cameras are good, right? *points to a $600 camera*
Coworker: Technically yeah, but you need a proper lens to go with the camera otherwise you won't get the right picture. We have one right h-"
Customer: Nah it's ok, I don't need it.
Coworker: ...um...you DO realize that you won't get anywhere NEAR what you want without this lens, right?
Customer: I won't be needing it.

Customer Service: What's wrong?
Customer: This camera took awful pictures of the moon!

PHOENIX (AP) - An Arizona school teacher showed up to class drunk and continued drinking throughout the day, authorities said Thursday.

The incident is the second time Jardine has been accused of being intoxicated in class. In 2011, she was fired from a Belen, New Mexico, high school for violating the district's no-alcohol policy. Belen Schools Superintendent Ron Marquez said students in a math class reported that Jardine was slurring her words and staggering. A school nurse examined her and found her to be under the influence of alcohol. She was immediately fired.

"Since that time I have never been called regarding her about a reference," Marquez said.

Franco said the Florence Unified School District does a full FBI background check on all prospective employees. Officials also verify teaching certificates, references and letters of recommendation, he added.

What do you mean by go "Ava Devin on dudes"?

Spolier for not life safe, not stomach safe, and sure as fuck not work safe:

Ava Devine's ass fell out in the middle of a scene. Dude had to be sitting there like WHAT THE FUCK? Wait, did she just... NAH, NO WAY THIS SHIT JUST HAPPENED, both figuratively and literally.. My sources tell me she gave dude head after that. If that happens to me in real life then her mouth would be sore for two months.

what's the topic
oh now they love Prof Beef. let's put him all in the front of the store.

My direct boss pulled me aside a while back, and he asked if I liked working there. I said I did (which is the truth), and he brought up my attitude again and how it changed. I asked him what the real reason was for me going to the warehouse, aside from "attitude." He said that it looked like I hated being there and always wanted to go home.

...which is kinda the truth, and we both laughed about it lol, but he also said that I was doing a bad job of hiding that fact from people, which was the main issue.

After the talks we've had about the NOI/Black Hebrews aka "moon brothers" in here, no one who frequents this thread should be saying black people can't be racist.

As far as being oppressive, this is the same argument I've had with moon brothers who argue that white people are born evil. There's a difference between we "can't" and "not being able to". In Western societies where white males are in charge, we aren't able to be oppressive on the same level because we don't have that type of authority. And at the same time, since black people were slaves/were oppressed, it is less likely that we would oppress another group because of our experiences.

This isn't the same as saying that if the US was completely controlled by black people it would be somehow physically impossible for black people to be oppressive to another group of people.

About that topic, I've really liked dreams explanation of it. Basically Black people can be racist, it's just really rare because of obvious reasons.

Anyways, today was a good day. I've been feeling down for a while now, but today helped lift me up. I went hiking with some friends and then went off to a bbq after. Good times.

I know goddamn well you are doing this because I left. I have not done anything to you. You are absolutely dispicable and a worthless human being. Your message is received and if you wanna play dirty, fine. I will not stoop to your piece of shit level. I have not contacted you. I don't want anything to do with you. I want my stuff that you are holding for hostage. You will not succeed.

I missed this. Yo rio, hit me with that pm when you get a chance

Is there a nice youtube or video that talks about black people in media representation?

Something about how you'll rarely see something like "beloved son and teenager tragically slain by ____" and instead some variation of "black man killed probably did something wrong."

I think it would be informative.

I haven't seen a video, but this article (which I have skimmed, not fully read I admit), http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/14/media-black-victims_n_5673291.html , has been making the rounds.

Also, I quite liked this video of one of the protestors in Ferguson from last night where he discusses racism in history and current media:

Given the quality of commentary on Ferguson we've gotten from a lot of celebs thus far, I'm perfectly fine with them staying out of it.

Everyone wants to be black. There's nothing more punk rock on Earth than being black. We stroll in, all muscle and sinew and cocoa, fucking the game up like dirty edge connectors. We laugh loud and speak bold and emit "I-just-don't-give-a-fuck" with every movement. We have been scrutinized and analyzed in every conceivable way, and still we are mysterious and exotic right down to the kink of our hair to those - surprising, still numerous - people who haven't been in contact with us before. We've created the rhythm and the blues, the rock and the roll, the hip and the hop. We brought in the noise and the funk. We put the soul in food, and pretty much everything else too. We built your pyramids, and we leap over them with our seemingly impossible collective athleticism, borne of mountains, jungles and plains that many of us still live in all across the world. Everyone wants to be black.

No one wants to be black. There's nothing more terrifying than the knowledge that we exist in every way but individually to everyone - even other black people. We can never be judged by our own merits; we carry the weight of the race's progression with every step into the future like Atlas, and even he shrugged...but we can't, because it's considered weak and selling out if we do. Every bit of slang, every bit of clothing that sits the wrong way, every head nod and hand gesture can and will be taken in the wrong way, a universal "there-goes-the-neighborhood" by everyone that can do so, which basically consists of everyone that doesn't want the social association with black people. That group, naturally, consists of everyone that is able to pass as "non-black". We live in a world where we were kings until we were cattle, and then we were weapons, and then we were like aphids, sprouting up where we weren't wanted, corrupting non-black youth, and the reason for everything from crime to lowered test scores or property value. Nobody wants to be black.

My blackness offends infinitely.
I want to be black.

Also, I'm just not going to address the topic. I'm just going to sit back and watch. I wouldn't say we are universally reviled; it just seems that way sometimes.

Still amazing.

I disagree about the last part. Of course black people could be oppressive if sometime in the far future we gained a stronghold in society. History is often forgotten and repeated because humans NEVER learn from history. Villians become the good guys and the good guys become the villians. Look what is happening with the Gaza-Israeli conflict. Some people argue that what Israel is doing is ethnic cleansing. If you agree with this opinion, you would then think why would Israel engage in this activity if the Jews experienced some of the worst ethnic cleansing in recent history? Why? It doesn't matter. People die, new people are born, history is forgotten, humans are going to human.

As some one who grew up in the noi you have it twisted. Also black people can't be "racist" but we can definitely harbor prejudice (which is more or less a consequence of racism.)

Is this in Atlanta?
Ha nope. Itaewon central Seoul, there's a US army base there and it's probably the most heavily populated foreigner area.

Funny cos just last night I saw a black guy with this hot Korean chick and was like 'cool' and then today I wake up to this.
