Seriously. They fucked up, but I'm not as extreme as some over at gaming side are in wanting them to lose their jobs. Studios shutting down suck.

The marketing for TEW was genius. They realized after Paranormal Activity's marketing and subsequent results, that the American population is stupid as fuck.

Its pretty wonky, like...perptually under 30fps.

Once you become one with the jank tho, its kinda like going through a B-movie version of Mikami's greatest hits. Like a less polished RE4 meets The Last of Us. I rather enjoyed it, and its the kinda lengthy single player action game we don't get too many of, so I'm glad its doing well. Maybe when they do the sequel, they can't get off that struggle engine idtech5, fuck you Carmack

Didn't see that coming. Thought for sure that it was gonna be the new hotness. I guess they failed at advertising it cause the game screams teen and young adult market to me aka the average cod player.

I admit, I was all about the PS4 last year, but Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive made me a believer in the Xbox One.

Still need an easy way to get screenshots and videos off that thing though.

Sunset Overdrive looks like the most basic ninja game.


I watched a stream of it for a while and thought it was just a colourful version of Infamous.

TEW doing well is funny tbh. It's not even survival horror, it's a watered down RE4 without the fun. But it's whatever. All the ones wanting that type of game have gotten it, maybe now they will stop crying about the genre being 'dead'.

Personally the only thing I hate more than games that take themselves too seriously are games that go to the other extreme

and that's how sunset overdrive came off to me. Every piece of promotional material reminded me of fucking Pooch in tone.

you should actually play it

the jokes are actually funny, and super smart and it gets charming as time goes on. the jokes also get smarter as time goes on.

I'm not too excited about it. Pretty uninspired in comparison to someone like Mads Mikkelsen in Casino Royale. The fact that Chiwetel Ejiofor was a possibility, but talks fell through, only makes it worst IMO.

As for Sunset Overdrive haters, at least I experience first hand the shit I hate on :D

I don't know if I'd like Ejiofor cuz all I'd see is Victor sweets. And as great as that character is I don't want that kind of tone for a Bond villain.

I dunno, I can't hate on Sunset Overdrive's humor. Guess I'm still a 16 year old at heart.

The Evil Within is simply genius marketing. Especially releasing it during Halloween. Games ass, but I can't how it presented itself either.

At least I don't see myself buying a Mikami game in the near future. Guy's a complete hack.

But tomb raider reboot was actually good by most people's standards. TEW is a clunky mess trying to leech off what made both REmake and 4 good but failing miserably. Despite the brilliant ideas here and there, it still has the same faults and disorganization of RE6 campaigns but much to manys disappointment, without that games beautiful controls.

Actually, it's a lot like Revelations. And not surprising, both are heralded as survival horror where they are not. (I like REV btw. Raid Mode is LIFE)

I'm glad this happened though. Now people can see that even the creator of the genre has lost touch. Maybe now they will stop nagging at Capcom and Konami for RE and SH's faults. Somewhere down the line, the genre lost it's essence. Sucks, but what can you do?

Edit: Does TEW have a extra mode? That made me annoyed with REmake. Come on now... :(
