I used to have the hugest crush on her while growing up and seeing her on Eve's Bayou and Cousin Skeeter. She was still looking good in Waist Deep back in 2006. Damn shame.

I also had a crush on Raven while growing up too. I'm glad she decided to lose the weight. I remember seeing her in this one Disney movie set in the future and she was so skinny. Then I saw her on That's So Raven and she had ballooned by then. Damn shame.

While I agree with your assesment, you can also tell the chick is a little nuts. A chick like that has days that make you regret everyday you spent with her up to that point precisely because those days led you to that point. No way it ends well either...somewhere between arson and man slaughter.

I need to google but she wasn't lookin too hot in Enemy of the State. She was way too thin, sickly looking and those Damien Marley dirt locks didn't suit her. Regina King was the finest women in the film, easily, which was a huge upset.

I'll say it straight-up: I hate tattoos on black people.

I can think of only one that I've ever seen that I felt improved someone's appearance or otherwise looked good (a tattoo on one of my frat brother's left peck of a Sphinx. shit was hard). I don't hate the person, I just really dislike tattoos. They mess up such beautiful skin, in my eyes.

Also, on another note, Raven was a big crush for me. But my biggest one was on Tatyana M. Ali aka Ashley Banks on the Fresh Prince. Admittedly, I still have a crush on her. She grew up to be fine.

somethin wrong with dreads? But yeah I don't think I'd ever want em that long...or really in his style at all.

As a guy who's been rockin a low cut or mini fro his whole life without ever getting my hair braided its been way more entertaining than I ever anticipated. Taking much better care of my hair right now and its really motivating me to accomplish other goals.

Not exactly dreads.. but I used to rock a fro for the longest.. my brother always got his twisted, so I did when I was 15 and damn that shit hurt.. never again.

Yeah man I'm already anticipating the pain honestly. My scalp has always been tender so I figure I should bring in something to bite on when I get twisted up. My hair is already in thick fro mode right now...just paying some extra attention to scalp and hair health before I go ahead and get it done.

An obese, illiterate, inarticulate, adolescent mother, an incestuous father, a violent, equally obese, welfare recipient for a mother, it's just a cornucopia of slovenly black trash debasing themselves in a grotesque and pornographic manner. (stealing a bucket of fried chicken from a restaurant, then a close up of our heroine throwing up in a garbage..yes, as if we hadnt got the point already)
The film reminds me of that French movie, Irreversible in that both films pummel you over the head with the humiliation and utter debasement of a character you've invested in. In a way, I'm glad this movie was highly regarded; it might exhaust the appetite (of critics at least) for other, equally manipulative and crude studies of black failure.
