The world record (on PC) for NY to Miami Los Angeles is down to 30 minutes. That's the longest one. But it takes a lot longer the first time you race it.

Everyone playing now has the 20% VIP discount, but even w/o that, grinding Bucks to buy whatever you want is pretty easy. Plus you can spec for added earnings.

I'm enjoying the game. I would recommend it to people who liked the first game but with the warning that this game is probably going to go through that same process.

Think that's a different Ubisoft studio. Those guys do Watch_Dogs I think.

I know they are a different studio, but those ARE the racing guys at Ubisoft now, since Reflections has moved on.

They are the best suited studio in the Ubisoft umbrella to make a new Driver is what I'm trying to say.

I think there's a lot of valid complaints about the simplification of the map and the graphics in some areas.

But as with the beta video this person did, this video seems highly cherry-picked in order to support the opinion.

I've enjoyed the additions so far but hate that it's so late in the month.

That means Gator Rush goes head to head with Forza Horizon 4. We'll get about a week before nobody cares. :/

I bought this along with my Xbox S on Black Friday, since I was a fan of Test Drive Unlimited (and apparently the people here worked on that, back at another company).

It's almost embarrassingly bad. Firstly, instead of focusing on one thing (cars), they try to cover a dozen things. That would be okay, but then they skimp on what I think should be the core stuff - racing cars. I have to do all this other crap I don't want to do (like fly planes and swamp boats) in order to progress from the 3 street racing events I have.

Secondly, the cut scenes and progression system is cringe worthy, as are all the cutscenes. It's like they saw Poochie from The Simpsons and decided that's the theme they should go with, added with the idea of social media.

With that said, the driving around the open world is fun enough. Even if the country is bizarrely reconfigured. Like being able to see mountains from St. Louis.

Thought I was going to need to pull a necrobump on this thread.

I bought the game after playing the free trial for a couple days.

I'm surprised it's only at 64 on metacritic.

It's a really solid game. I think a lot of reviewers are looking at it the wrong way. It feels like a motorsports-focused version of GTA without any of the shooting and a bigger world. I think it's really cool that they created a miniature version of the whole US.

The game literally looks like a mobile title on that launch trailer, the cars seems to be floating over the tarmac. I haven't played it in months, but I didn't remember it being this way.

I dunno what this game is turning into but my PS4 seems sluggish lately to run it. So much fluff I can't keep up. It still has more hours than any game I've played over the years. My only reason to turn on my PS4 really.

The Collector sounds like a reason so nickle and dime us into sprending money, I've already spent enough real cash on this game I should be wary of this.

I plan to move this game to the PC later in the year when I finally buy a good rig I want to collect arcade racers and sim games on a beefy PC with an Ultra Wide Monitor as my b-day gift. Please don't ruin The Crew 2!

At first I thought it was because of poor performance on XBOX One X. So I bought it again on the PC. I paid for it twice and I still can't force myself to play it.

Something I rarely do is join a Crew, it seems you can have a lot more fun in a full crew. But I don't like playing with strangers at all.
I don't speak to them so that does not work.

But yeah the thing about this game is Crews making their own fun

I just bought the game on sale a couple of days ago and can’t stop playing, must be the most fun I’ve had in a racing game in a long time. Its not perfect sure and hardcore racers looking an open world are probably gonna prefer forza horizon but I dunno it’s just so much fun driving about and the street races are a blast. Been bored of racing games for a while but this has hooked me, was very surprised.

I loved the first game, but eventually I didn't buy the second game because it was too similar to the previous title, despite the effort to introduce planes and boats and some other improvements, minus some steps back.

Just to say that I want a The Crew Europe so bad for the next gen. Please make my dream comes true.

It’s still here, people online everyday although admittedly it can take a while to find pvp matches, but always people on free roam.
