Don't get caught up in the antics of Bernie's delegates and supporters at the DNC. Polls show the majority of Bernie supporters have fallen in line to support the Dem candidate. This is all theatrics that represent a small subset of Bernie voters.

The polls you mentioned took place before the release of the DNC emails and the resignation of DWC and her getting onboard Clintons campaign immediately after.

what am I looking at?

That's fair but and until data comes to prove there's a significant shift im not taking these theatrics at face value.

this convention is turning into a cluster****

how how how could the dems screw this up so bad, after the RNC?

jesus!!!

I think Sanders never wanted to run for president in the general. He just wanted to pull the party to the left, and I think he has more or less accomplished that.

So I think his supporters need to relax and help defeat Trump.

I can only imagine how intolerable the Bernie scapegoating will be if Clinton loses the general.

I wouldn't be surprised given that there are still chinese whispers that Nader cost Gore the election.

The Democrats haven't taken Trump seriously - Most of us didn't! And the Democrats have lost elections before when they thought it was an easy win, like with Reagan. It was one of the core arguments against Bernie in the beginning; "I like Bernie, but he can't win" followed by countless moral and ethical debates about the virtues and condemnations of voting for least-awful candidates.

Sanders had done well. Who is to say that he would have accomplished what he did in his campaign if he had not had the rhetoric he had? It did get bitter, but presidential campaigns do get bitter. Hillary versus Obama was even more bitter.
And 85% of Bernie Supporters going to vote for Hillary faster than Hillary or McCain Busters went to Obama, shows you that this is not fair to blame Bernie on unfavorability of Clinton.
Bernie stumpled into a wave of progressive usurping, and part of that breaks bread with a independent cast of Ron Paul, Gary Johnson types.

Sanders condoned violence at Nevada. He always said a million times that his issues matters, and now the platform has embraced many of his issues save a few of the big ones. Instead of booing the man they love- then at least try and convince and speak about the last Bernie Causes that are not embraced. Him being president doesn't matter. getting citizen united overruled matters. getting money out of politics matter. The old man has done a lot for them.

Democrats number one adversary has always been themselves.

Well they wanted they only candidate who has a good chance losing against Trump. If you want to win against the most disliked candidate in history, why do you send in the 2nd most disliked.

The convention will be fine. Let the Bernie or bust boo outside all they want, the numbers dwindle everyday.

Every election year were reminded of how overly worried and panicked democrats are.

CNN really going all in on Sanders getting booed. They're going to play that clip over and over. "It was a boo-fest!"

They said Trump is doing a reddit AMA on Wednesday.

And Trumps Tweets about Bernie are baiting - Just look at the frequency of them. It's like he is stirring them;

They are playing right into Donalds hand. :(

I'm actually hoping she doesn't. Most people already got their jabs in last week.

Same not needed to do so. Just do the opposite from what the RNC was. Have uplifting speeches instead of dark and gloomy everyone is trying to kill us.

Thing is he is doing the IAMA on his subreddit. Not even the basic IAMA subreddit. He will get softball questions that make him look great.

Seems like he's getting ahead of the Russian-Trump accusations.

Trump Twitter
The new joke in town is that Russia leaked the disastrous DNC e-mails, which should never have been written (stupid), because Putin likes me

And he mentioned Bernie sanders several times.

I'm pretty shocked that some of his followers aren't thrilled to support someone he suggested was a wall street stooge and impediment to his political revolution.

If there's anything that party is good at, it's getting in line.

Yeah : / Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line. True now as ever.

Dems have always had a problem throwing hissy fits when things don't go their way. Between that and them not showing up to midterms, it's not hard to imagine why the party is in the shape it is now.

Those Sanders "supporters" can go fuck themselves. It's obvious they never cared about him or his vision, just supported him cause it was hip.

is...
is that a blunt?

Is this... a blunt that says Feel the Bern on it...? Because, if so, Bernie supporters need to look at themselves for why he lost this primary.

If not then...... what is that?

Honest question: what can I realistically do as a regular citizen to make sure Trump doesn't get elected in November?

Vote for Hillary Clinton. It's all you have to do.

It's foolish to be dismissive of these protestors. It's foolish to call them whiners or chide them as if they are children throwing tantrums. Hilary is disliked. We've known this for a long time. The email breach, no matter who carried it out, has revealed a lack of integrity in the DNC that people should rightfully call out. A lot of left-wing reporting on this seems to be deflecting the content of the emails by focusing on who hacked into them and why. "Russia wants Trump to win!" they say. But the content of these emails is ultimately what's at hand, and the DNC has put itself in a position to allow that strategy to play out. It shouldn't be excused. That the RNC was likely as underhanded is not relevant: they aren't the ones caught with their pants down (and if they are, it's because Trump wants everyone looking).

I live in the South, and my state is redder than red. I'm just wondering if donating would be better so that battles can be fought in places where it matters most.

Donate, sign up to volunteer to phonebank (you should be able to that online once we get closer). You can do that from your house. Make sure any of your friends who are left-leaning in swing states are registered to vote.

You can do calls out of state, and fundraising, and all sorts of stuff. Not everything in campaigning is going door to door. Of course, donating is always good too, if you have the money.

Vote Hilary and try to make an effort that those around you do the same. even if you think one vote is not important and insignificant, is your voice and thats how it is heard

It's going to be full of booing for Michelle Obama tonight, watch it happen.

No one threw a chair. I can't believe people still think this. It's sad how mods here on neogaf can't discern lies.

Sorry, Raised chairs above their head and tried to rush the stage.

And mod at neogaf is not fact checker at the NYT.

but the emails are extremely tame. if you get past the headlines, there isnt a lot of stuff here so far

It's from a previous White House protest:

Also, if Hillary loses the general, what should her supporters evaluate about themselves?

It hasn't even started yet.

It will be messy but it'll be good.

it hasnt started but look at all this drama. Definitely not a good look.

they have this ish handed to em on a platter of gold, and they still find ways to screw something up

That may have been his intention when he started but the dude's head got bigger than Barry Bonds' roided-up melon.
Because the DNC coronated them before it started
Didn't stop Obama in 2008.
Also, if Hillary loses the general, what should her supporters evaluate about themselves?
They will feel outnumber by morons.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to stay away from politics talk between now and the election. The bending over backwards people are constantly doing to defend a politician of immense privilege is getting pretty grating. If Democrats insist on coddling an objectively weak candidate, they'll get exactly what they ordered come November. Hopefully they manage to pull it out instead of scoring the worst political own-goal of all time by fumbling the election away to a clown.

They will feel outnumber by morons.

That's the winning Democrat strategy I know and love. "Vote for me unless you're racist/homophobic/an idiot."
