The Division - 15 minutes of new gameplay

Because I thought we just got some statement from them about how the loading screens try to give you relevant tips to guide you to features you haven't used yet

When you fast travel between safe houses you will get a loading screen, I guess the rest of the game is free of loading screens.

How long are those loading times ? I hope they're way better than Destiny's.

Better then Destiny for sure. Not sure how long really. Been a while again. But never tought this is taking long. or something. And what people said. Those are the two loading screens really. Something you dont use all the time.

Saw this pic on a local news website regarding the snow storm in New York, immediately reminded me of The Division. This snow storm is the most elaborate PR stunt I've ever seen, Ubi going all out on this one.

Yeah a lot of the images of NYC this week have looked eerily close to what we see in the Division. Their marketing department should be having a field day with all of this.

when the Beta starts so in this case it would go up Thursday...but I think someone said Grief was doing the Beta thread but he's been banned so if that's the case I don't know who's doing one
:(
Well he could send what he would make the OT like to someone else and they could post it, if he got it ready that is.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you or maybe you have a fundamental misunderstanding of geography because Dying Light takes place in Turkey and that's really far from Manhattan.
Heh, just a gridlocked bridge reminded me of that game. And now I want to be bunny hopping across the cars and enemies' heads.

I starting to get hyped for The Division again... :D
I remember back in 2013 this was one of the most hyped game, if not THE MOST.

Then, after so many delayed, i was a bit tired... :-/

Now that is almost here and i saw that gameplay i really wanna buy the game.

It's implied to be in Turkey but I don't know if it's ever outright stated.

Fictional city of Harran implied to be in Turkey but never actually stated as far as I can remember and I've gone through it three times. Maybe I just didn't notice.

edit -

Maybe it was stated then but man that's one hell of a take on Harran. Just looked up real images of Harran.

So end game. Is this something along the line of Destiny's end game? I understand there's PvP but for someone who's not really into PvP with these types of games and just stays PvE, are they going to be able to get the best gear end game?

lots of snow in a game is bad...still got nightmares of the ac 3 deep snow walking

From a technical standpoint that was amazingly well done, the animations were superb. I absolutely loved the snow in ACIII, and I hated how it only was during a short sequence.

After finishing the game I used the seasonal cheatcode to get the snow map all the time, looked so good.

I wonder if they will leave the old original shaders in the game data again like with watch dogs...

the issue is that ubi seem to give out pre-release stuff with 10 times better lighting and shaders then tone it all back before release, if they would stop doing that I might care again.

...Just... Why?

Why would you cripple yourselves like this, Ubi? Why?

I understand you could want this to perform well on lower-end hardware... But you don't have to cut the tree in half to do so.

I'm wondering this my self. Has Ubisoft talked about anything end game? Or is the dark zone considered end game and no other content like a raid ?

This will probably happen. But like I said earlier, the build I played a few days ago didn't have functioning HBAO+ or PCSS, so you could argue that other effects weren't fully implemented.

HBAO+ and PCSS will be in beta when it goes live for everyone, through drivers that NV are pushing for the beta.

"Those who get a key who also have a GeForce GTX GPU, and our Game Ready driver, will receive the definitive gaming experience during the three-day test.
And amongst the many PC graphics options you’ll discover the ability to enable work-in-progress versions of NVIDIA HBAO+ and NVIDIA PCSS on compatible graphics cards, improving graphical fidelity in The Division’s detailed urban environment."

Edit:
Can someone tell me if I can redeem two Beta codes on single uPlay account?

EDIT: Well it looks like I can't.

You can redeem 1 code / platform on single uPlay account. So using single account you can redeem spot in beta once for each platform, e.g. I have spot reserved for PC and PS4 on my uPlay account.

That's thread worthy imho.

Does the main character speak at all? Few previews I saw it seemed odd that someone was talking over the comm and the player's character doesn't seem to react or acknowledge it in any way. This probably doesn't diminish the gameplay, but I suppose the mute protagonist is wearing thin on me nowadays.
