In universe, I think the legitimate worry is that Iris can't keep her mouth shut, so she'd end up like Mason Bridges, disappeared on a milk carton. She kept writing about The Flash even when it put her in danger after all. RF has already explicitly threatened her life as it is.

It's still absurd to date a cop and expect him to tell you everything about his job though. She sat and nodded to Barry's advice and then did the exact opposite like the end of Chasing Amy or a GAF relationship thread.

So she's acting like a normal person. Dumb and irrational. CW bringing that realism!

Eddie is such a terrible liar though that he's making it all too obvious to her that what he's hiding isn't just some shitty case he's working on.

so that's it for the bee lady?

talk about underused....no development whatsoever.

did they even lock her up in Star Labs?

Why would they? She's not a meta.

I can imagine how this is going to end for Eddie. Reverse Flash revealed as Eddie's descendent. Reverse Flash about to kill Barry. The noble and tragic Eddie shot himself in the head, Reverse Flash vanishes.

He realizes that Reverse Flash is also a descendant of Iris, so he shoots Iris instead. Reverse Flash vanishes, everyone is happier now.

That episode was a lot of fun, Palmer and Felicity fit well in CC. They also found a way to speed up a bunch of storylines. This upcoming run of episodes should be great.

A very fun episode. It also did the heavy lifting of getting us where we needed to be approaching the finale.

Hopefully they use the Bug Eye Bandit more in the future, especially now that she has a reason to hate the Flash and the Atom.

wait was this mentioned? i completely missed this :o

Yeah, Felicity quickly ran through her list of problems during the dinner scene.

Whatever happened to Iris investigating STAR Labs? That would have been something interesting for her and Eddie to do.

I think maybe the time travel screwed that up. I think her editor telling Iris to investigate Wells since he believed he killed Stagg happened in the tsunami timeline. Then in the new timeline Barry interrupts the editor from telling Iris about Wells and Wells kills editor. Which leads Barry to suspecting Wells of being evil.

Question: The Reverse Flash in the last shot, was that the show just randomly showing him or that he may know?

"Should I buzz myself in"

" You think you understand the sting of betrayal"

Really?? This is Batman and Robin level of cheesy shit. Daredevil now exists in this world so come on writers. You cannot have such a low bar in writing. Also stop with this angst bullshit. It is getting tiresome. Arrow already sucks because of it and now it is becoming too much in the Flash.

This is a comic show bruv, while I enjoy Daredevil I wouldn't want Flash to lose its glorious cheesiness. These series business shows are good in moderation don't want all my comic book shows to be like that.

It's just a button to the scene to punctuate what they're talking about. If they wanted to show RF knowing what they're up to, it would've been a longer shot... establishing him knowing.

Suddenly the AV club giving the episode a B makes perfect sense.

It's like a fucking fog lifting.

I just watched the latest episode and I didn't like it. I think (one of the few) highlights were the funny dialogues between Cisco and Ray, but otherwise it was so forgetabble to me. I suppose the only redeemable aspect was the ending where Barry tells Cisco and Caitlin about Wells/Reverse Flash. I think Out of Time (episode 15) spoiled me, that was such a fucking great episode. Honestly, at this point I'm only interested in those episodes that heavily focuses on Wells and Reverse Flash. Also, it doesn't help I really don't like Felicity any more. I pretty much can't stand her any more in Arrow, let alone in The Flash.

6/10, I'll have forgotten the majority next week.

This is not cool. Fuck Barry and Joe for this shit. Now I hope Eddie Reverse Flash's out. Dicks.

I'm not very at all familiar with The Flash comics, but is there a relation between Eddie and Eobard Thawne? I honestly think maybe Eddie might be pissed off at Barry now and in due time becomes that Eobard fellow, lol. I also found it odd how a few episodes back Eobard said he was Eddie's "distant relative" with a dirty smug, like there's something about the two.

Any way, probably not, I really like Eddie, so that would only make me loath him.

People actually like Daredevil? I couldn't get past the second episode.

Daredevil is actually pretty great, in that it's a big dose of Reality Ensues to the superhero genre. Matt doesn't even have Batman-level protection from things like guns, knives, and crowbars, so he has to pick his spots. He also can't superjump, grappling hook, and survive 30 foot falls like Affleck DD, so he actually has to shimmy up and down fire escapes and run through alleys to get around.

It's much more of a crime procedural than a superhero show, and even on that spectrum it's closer to a one-long-connected-story format like The Wire instead of compartmentalized Law & Order. It has its place in the MCU, because none of the current Avengers or SHIELD agents actually fight street crime or even organized crime. Spidey might be the first one in the movie universe to do so.

I think Eobard meant that literally, as in Eddie is a
great great great great great great great grandfather
. If you're not familiar with the Flash comics, Eobard is
The Flash of the 25th century, so 400+ years from the current timeline.

But even Spidey has allocated time for small time criminals. As to Russian and big conspiracies? I mean I know kingpin is an enemy of spiderman as well.

@ Sho_Nuff82. I think I'll be steering away from comic books spoilers :P Just to be sure in case they're going to use it for the series, but I appreciate it though.

Love how much better the ATOM suit is in The Flash CGI-wise than Arrow. Arrow's CGI budget is like 2 dollars and a packet of chewing gum so it does characters like him a disservice.

Eh I was thinking total opposite, we barely seen the ATOM suit on Arrow up close. Thought it looked pretty bad here since they showed off so much of it in action.

DD rushed to the end so yeah, no thank you. DD spoiler
In the span of days 2 lawyers a journalist and a secretary take down Wilson Fisk's empire.

Let's see (massive Daredevil spoilers):
The journalist was murdered by the end. One of the lawyers is a vigilante with powers and Fisk was being backstabbed by his associates.

Pretty much. If Matt wasn't Daredevil, they a) wouldn't have been in the position they were in to bring down Fisk and b) would have had to call the police even if they had located the hideout. This would have resulted in the dirty cop being successfully executed and, even worse, Matt, Foggy and Karen all being marked next on Fisk's murder list.

I loved the intro, shame the rest of the episode wasn't so great.

Why did they just randomly clue Ray in about Barry without even asking him? Sigh...

Time travel effect starting to kick in...love it. Was worried they wouldn't address Barry changing the past. Although disappointing it's only Cisco, Iris having flashes would have been nice too...

Speaking of Iris, what happened to the story about STAR labs? Thought we'd get some info about that by now..her hanging around, possibly discovering the prison and lifting the lid.

So Barry doesn't care that Ollie might be joining the League? That was strange...but I guess it's possible he was too caught up in his own feelings/drama that he didn't properly process it.

Ray's suit isn't even water proof? Oh dear, pretty crappy suit so far. Power source is on the belt and easily accessible and now it's not even water proof...

Oh my god at all the cheesy one liners. STAHP! It reached Batman and Robin levels and you never, ever want to reach B&R levels...

Felicity's trying to mess with everyone's life but her own, I suppose. I'm also guessing that Barry doesn't have a clue what the League is at this point, and if he did he's likely under the impression that Oliver's out to kill again like back in season 1

I must be the only one who was actually cheering Iris on in this episode.

Keeping her in the dark is dumb, and she knows it's more than "work is unsettling" for Eddie since he didn't used to have this problem, and isn't otherwise upset.

She's not an idiot, and doesn't like being treated like one.

I wish the show would just tell her already so we can move along.

She doesn't have a right to know and it's not his secret to tell.

He's a fucking cop. He can keep secrets.

LIGHTNING PSYCHOSIS

She doesn't have a right to know and it's not his secret to tell.

She doesn't know that. If he said "I can't tell you, it's not my secret to tell, it's somebody on the force" he could probably end this.

He's a fucking cop. He can keep secrets.

And she can decide not to stay with him for that reason. What's the divorce rate among cops?

Does nobody see this from Iris's perspective? Her boyfriend is acting weird and secretive all of a sudden, when he never was before. That's a legitimate thing to be alarmed about.

Seriously, I think Candice Patton took a steaming shit on the writers' desk. She pulled a Katie Cassidy. Only explanation for why her writing is this terrible.

It's the CW superhero way. Female characters have been torn apart before they can be rebuilt and rise to be interesting and engaging characters.

Felicity's trying to mess with everyone's life but her own, I suppose. I'm also guessing that Barry doesn't have a clue what the League is at this point, and if he did he's likely under the impression that Oliver's out to kill again like back in season 1

Yeah, I really don't like how Felicity is up in everyone's shit and doesn't even blink at revealing other people's secrets.

And that's a fair point about Barry not knowing about the League.

Her writing isn't that bad. She's not terribly prominent, but it's not bad; her actions make sense in light of what she knows.

Barbara on Gotham, now there's some deliberately bad writing.
