Episode was alright. I liked what they did with Eddie and some of the material with Wells was interesting. On the other hand, the mutant of the week structure has already gotten old and does anyone care about Iris, especially when she gets this much screen time?

The show is so lucky to have Jesse Martin and Tom Cavanagh in its cast.

Every week I think the show can't get better yet it does. If this is it supposedly finding its feet I can't wait for the second half of the season.

The writers are having a blast with Wells and Eddie. Every scene they are in can be taken so many ways.

I mean you would think after tonights episode its clear who Wells is going to be. But then what is it with Eddie training Barry to be a better fighter?

I really love Iris actually. If anything you should be mad at Joe and Barry keeping her in the dark. Barry for one is clearly enjoying having Iris write about him and doing a halfassed job trying to convince her to stop.

So Flash already has his comic name(I really appreciate they didn't drag it out), someone needs to notice Roy "Flip Master" Harper already and start calling Ollie Green Arrow.

Eddie is the Tommy Merlyn of this setup, Wells is the Malcolm.

In either case, I hope when Flash does face off against Reverse Flash or Zoom or Professor Zoom or Yellow Suit, he gets fucked up (much like what happened when Ollie fought the Dark Archer the first time). It's way too early for him to even be able to land a hit on an opponent of that caliber.

I can't watch anymore. It's gone and CW'd themselves. Sisko is the only character I buy as a scientist but he's by far the most annoying. I hope he starts turning to face the camera every time he name drops a Flash villain name and winks. Caitlin is Felicity Lite and the writers actually commented on it when she started rambling. Wells must have psychic powers because he should have been stroking a black cat and twirling his mustache when he told Plastique to go kill Eiling. And she's like "Gosh I never thought about it that way. I'm going to do it even though killing the government's best secret R&D director will totally ensure my safety from future persecution!"

Iris is the token idiot left in the dark. She's Laurel Lite except she is in lovery with The Streak without knowing his face or anything about him. "We can't tell Iris you're The Streak because it will put her in danger" is the dumbest reasoning ever. She's going to get kidnapped by the VOTW regardless if she's sleeping with him or not. The only way this works is if a superhero has no friends or other supporting cast.

The whole Threes Company thing is tired.

Well...

I know I'm going to stop listening to your podcast.

End of season spoilers?
There are leaked pics which imply that's what happens

I am loving the show but there is one thing that always always bothers me:

The intro with Gustin narrating.
WTF is up with his pronounciation and stuff there? Every week he seems to come up with a new super weird sounding voice.
Especially once part always sounds just completely weird:

"My name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive".
he makes it sound like
"My nuame is Barry Allen and I um dueee fastest mun aliave"

Like, why?

They really need to add an overarching storyline to the season (Who Killed Barry's Mom? isn't interesting enough to base the season around) - this monster of the week deal just isn't doing it for me. Arrow had some really interesting serialized elements in its first season and I was hoping The Flash would follow suit.

Also, Barry needs to reveal himself to Iris like yesterday.

Also, also, wheelchair guy is boring and a bad actor. He needs to go.

You're welcome to your own opinion, but nearly every review I've read mentions that Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells) and Jessie L. Martin are the two best actors on the show.

What, exactly, is your issue with Cavanagh's performance?

thanks..

Just saw an episode of this show. There was a man with a cold gun, and he made people cold and dead. Everyone's supposed to be really smart, but it's so painfully obvious that they're actors pretending to be smart. Everything's really corny, and when someone dies because Flash is 'too slow to save him', it's somehow the fault of the Hispanic guy? Typical. Also, the cold gun man offers some gum to a kid, and he accepts. I mean, what was the point? The only genuinely good scene was the train scene, and even it had a really cheesy and stupid build-up. What am I missing that's so good about this show?

Did you ever read superhero comic books in your life?
Did you ever start watching show from the beginning in your life?
Do you know what is the average wibe of the CW show?
Did you notice how superhero shows were either non-existent or very bad before Arrow arrived and allowed showrunners to faithfully follow comic book lore?

I dunno. It's just that after watching a few episodes of Arrow, I was hugely disappointed by this. It's much worse. I guess it's only starting, but why do people like it so much already?
Marvel fan here, huehuehue.

It would be clever if Wells and Zoom were both time travelers instead of being the same person.

I remember there was a reference he dropped back in like the first episode that given the things he knows and the things he has seen could on the very fringes be true. And if it is then shit is gonna go down.

Pariah. I still think he's Zoom though, him or Iris' boyfriend.

Oh my God. Just incredible. I don't think the average person grasp just how thoughtful this episode was. It meshed season 1 Smallville sensibilities with the heightened sense of urgency of modern CW. The dynamic between Eddie and Barry is so great, like the older brother you thought you could never live up to his expectations but was always proud of you. Then the circular nature of the bully story. You just can't each that. And to top it all off, we get a new breakout character in CCJitters girl.

Anyone notice the man of steel references? Not just Wells actually saying it but Iris' report at the end sounded quite like Lois Lane's in MoS.

At first I thought the Superman wink was a pointlessly over-the-top reference ("man of steel...LIKE SUPERMAN GET IT") but it occurred to me that if Wells is from the future, he already knows Superman (assuming there eventually is one in this continuity) and is just having fun at his own pun.

I choose to believe that interpretation anyway

Eh, shes the Laurel of this show
She is worse, because she actively trying to drive herself in the story. Oh, I hate her smug face when she sees that the Streak does just as she pleases. Wanna punch her in the face and never come back again.

Other than that again a highly entertaining episode. CW just seem to have problems writing love interests that aren't annoying.

Who's the
energy-sucking dude
from the preview?
Sounds like Parasite but that doesn't make much sense.

Come on where was the excitement for the mach 1.1 sequence, that is a great moment for this tv show . I rematched it 3 times that moment especially his eyes blazed up and the anger when he makes the turn to run.

The prison these guys have really annoys me, who's feeding these people? Are the all just starving to death in tiny cubes?
