Reiza is a good developer so the game is in good hands.

If you have rfactor download their Formula Armaroli mod and the McLaren skin:

So they will be using that uphill Monaco-like road. Very nice.

god that looks good with the new york skyline in the background, what would make this even better is a night circuit

I wont get excited until i know which track is being dropped from the calender to make room for this one.
Indeed.

Clockwise?

If so, its a terrible idea as there's no overtaking spot whatsoever. That kink at the end of the straight would lead to a one-line procession, completely killing any proposition of trying to pass another car.

I love street tracks, but no thanks.
Are you on crack? The top of the track looks good for passing, as do the two 90 degree lefts along the bottom on the river side.

For the first one, the passed car would have the inside going into the next right hander anyway, so passes there probably won't stick. The second would be a better proposition, but I think 90 degree corners are bullshit in principle.

Oh. Well, there you go. Street circuits are bullshit. ;)

It can't be a night race though, since that would put it on tv in Europe past midnight.

Liuzzi is racing in the V8 Supercars race today. Didn't realize it, but he's the first active Formula 1 driver to ever make a start in a V8 Supercars race.

At least he's not running last right now!

Christian Klein and Sebastian Bourdais are in it, too. Haven't checked who else, but that's a semi-decent roster so far!

Not sure who Sarrazin is (though the name is vaguely familiar) but I definitely know Salo and Magnussen. Cool!
Did a couple races with Minardi, then some WRC. Never really achieved much, but not a bad driver.

Juses!! anyone watching motoGP?
Seems the rider is gone.
Helmet popped off and is just laying there in the middle of the track. :(
Simoncelli? What happened, I see the red flag at the moment.

Seems like the rest of the race has been cancelled.

Oh shit. I just saw who he was and remember his post-race interview from last week. Seems like a genuinely nice guy. What a shame, poor bastard :(

Catalunya is one of the best tracks. To keep Valencia is fucking retarded.

It is a good track, but it also is a terrible F1 GP. Sooooo boring, even more than Valencia, if only they changed the first few turns...

Sorry to bring this up after such a terrible accident, too.

I'm kinda thinking the same thing, though I hope to god I'm just worried over nothing.
Yeah, I mean that would be too much. Nothing will happen, but you start getting paranoid after two deaths in a row.

I'm getting a bad feeling for the Indian GP.

I don't see why, F1 is far safer than IRL or MotoGP could ever hope to be. The closest F1 has come to another death since Senna was Hakkinen's crash at Adelaide.

EDIT: Just seen the crash on video, really sad.

RIP Marco.

No we had a couple more close calls since then. Kubica was lucky that nothing hit him in his Canada crash. Massa was only centimeters away from a fatal injury. Schumacher vs. Liuzzi in Abu Dhabi last year could have ended deadly. I also remember a crash in Monaco where some backmarkers landed on top of each other. That's just the ones from the top of my head.

F1 is very safe compared to the past but that a fatal will happen again eventualy is only a matter of time.

A marshal was killed at Monza 2000 and Melbourne 2001, both hit by crash debris.

Although not drivers their deaths should still be recognised the same as any driver killed while racing.

Oh of course, but I was referring specifically to driver fatalities.

Such a shit year for motorsports. Kubica almost died in a rally accident, Wheldon ,Simoncelli...

I just hope I never have to witness it happening in F1, I would be completely devastated.

Jan Magnussen ... I feel so much regret that he didnt keep up with other modern drivers in terms of fitness and off track learning. He was talented at fuck but I remember his former team bosses calling him lazy

In case I decide to stay in Hong Kong longer I think I may try to go to the practice day for Macau and get some snapshots and see F1 cars for the first time in person.

Can't afford the $100+ tickets for the race day and I'm pretty sure it will be crowded as hell.

Wheldon was supposed to be there. :(

You'll be seeing F3 cars, not F1 cars. Pretty big difference. Still worth going, though. Amazing track.

Finally finished watching the Canadian GP (fell asleep yesterday) and I know I'm few months late with this, but the last nine laps were amazing. I was even rooting for Schumacher and felt sorry for him. Amazing drive by Button.

Just finished the Korea GP so I have been out of this thread.

But I wanted to say I was in Montreal last week and rode a bike around the track. It was beautiful.

During the rest of the year, the track is a park, and they split the track with cones down the middle, cars on half, bikes and foot traffic on the other half. Except for wall of champions, that's cars only and foot traffic gets routed through the pits.

There was something about the feeling you get even going slow on a bike through the narrow back section that is incredible. And the straight with a strong headwind feels like it never ends. They must get so much downforce at high speeds.

And I need to rewatch a race, but there are picnic tables and a swing set about 10 feet from the edge of the track. They must put temporary barriers all over, because normally its wide open to the park grounds almost entirely in the wooded area. And the track is so narrow in that area.

There was also a guy who was driving around in an older Ford or something with a cellphone camera strapped to the roof. I took a few picture of him coming through the final turn and getting quite close to the wall, I'll post them later when I get them off the camera.

In one of the spots at turn one where a barrier was crushed I found a piece of white and red painted carbon fiber. It was wedged between the tires. I wonder where that came from.

Now to read the last few pages regarding Korea, fun race all in all. Easy again for Seb. And good drive from Hammy keeping Webber behind him forever and ever.
