So many still asking if I'm going to Sky. #BBCF1 show is world class, in Korea we had stunning 65% audience share & 2012 we try even harder.

@jakehumphreyf1
We've got great F1 plans. It'll be different but we WILL make live race coverage even better, and highlights also be compelling viewing.

New Jersey street track?

Bye-bye Korea.
I was thinking the same thing, but hopefully not.

Also Goldrusher you sadly got it wrong I believe.

I don't think it'll be going up Eau Rouge 2.0. :(

Yellow is where it'll instead be going.

I say Spa, Monza or Monaco.

I say that as a joke, but the sad thing is it's not too far-fetched. Okay, Monaco is.

I think Monaco & Monza are the 2 safest ones on the calander.
Spa isnt :(

They should drop one of the spanish tracks, theres no need for 2!

One will be axed. Catalunya will hold its final GP in 2012.
It could be back in 2014 though, replacing Valencia, alternating from then on.

So 2013 will likely look like this:

  1. Australia (Melbourne)
  2. Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)
  3. China (Shanghai)
  4. Bahrain (Sakhir)
  5. Monaco (Monte Carlo)
  6. Canada (Montreal)
  7. New Jersey (New Jersey)
  8. Spain (Valencia)
  9. Great Britain (Silverstone)
  10. Germany (Nürburgring)
  11. Hungary (Budapest)
  12. Belgium (Spa-Francorchamps)
  13. Italy (Monza)
  14. Singapore (Singapore)
  15. Japan (Suzuka)
  16. Korea (Yeongam)
  17. India (New Delhi)
  18. Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina Circuit)
  19. Texas (Austin)
  20. Brazil (Sao Paulo)

Though some tracks have yet to extend their contracts.
Also, Belgium could be alternating with France as of 2013.

Amazing, I live one town over in Jersey City but this would be amazing if really really inconveniently. But considering the state of roads and the general shittiness of the proposed area, I just don't see the chances of it happening.

This will not happen, but it's a nice dream.

Jersey replacing Korea would be great, but that won't happen. Looks like a great track, though.

Why not? I thought Korea was losing money and didn't really get much exposure?

Just found out Directv is dropping Speed and other fox channels Nov. 1... Dispute with News Corp over programming prices :( So no more F1 for me unless shit gets worked out and quick. At least I get to watch India I guess :(
There are other sources to find the races in the US...and in the process you'll realize SPEED's coverage is garbage.

Finally finished watching the Canadian GP (fell asleep yesterday) and I know I'm few months late with this, but the last nine laps were amazing. I was even rooting for Schumacher and felt sorry for him. Amazing drive by Button.

What other legal sources of live coverage are there? Because I know of none.

edit: And that proposed track for the "NYC" race looks pretty good. Shame the race probably couldn't be a day -> twilight race because having the city light up behind the track would be pretty iconic. Did some street views in google and there is a great view of the skyline from the "top" of the track.

haha well, no legal ones; guess I should have clarified that. There are some SPEED streams online but the quality isn't that great.

I was hoping Schumi would podium as well.

Clockwise?

If so, its a terrible idea as there's no overtaking spot whatsoever. That kink at the end of the straight would lead to a one-line procession, completely killing any proposition of trying to pass another car.

I love street tracks, but no thanks.

Yea I know of the illegal BBC streams that pop up but I actually don't mind the speed team most of the time.

Doesn't matter as I don't have a quality connection to high speed internet anyways (just tethering my phone at the moment, and that drops and has fits every now and then).

I used to like the SPEED coverage, it's still ok. It was a stretch to say the coverage is garbage. I've been watching the BBC for the last two seasons and watched a SPEED GP earlier in the year. With all the commercials it was hard to keep up with what was going on. I also preferred Windsor over their on-site person now.

Will Buxton? Nice guy, but he can be annoying at times. Plus he's the one that made a massive deal about something everyone was in violation over prior to one of the Euro GPs. The collar stitching issue.

Ayrton Senna game in development:

Following Game Stock Car, their successful maiden commercial title, Brazil-based Reiza Studios have announced to be working on a racing game that centers around the career of Ayrton Senna.

Made in co-operation with the Ayrton Senna Institute, the new title will allow PC users to relive the spectacular career of the three-time Formula One World Champion who’s still regarded to be one of the best race drivers who have ever lived.

There are no details on the title’s content yet but aside from his early years in Karting and Formula 3, Senna spent the vast majority of his career in Formula One, spanning from the Turbo era to the high-tech computerized cars in the early 90s.

While Game Stock Car was based on ISI’s trusted gMotor 2 engine, Reiza Studios will be using an all-new engine for the Senna title which is expected to be released at the end of 2012.

Part of the revenue created by the release of the title will be donated to the Ayrton Senna Institute that benefits 2 million Brazilian childen with a quality education every year.
