It looks really, really great. I'd love to see a F2004 model.Leunam said:I build models here and there. I've got two completed Gundam models and this is the first F1 car I've ever built. It's been fun so far so I'm contemplating either an F2004 or FW14 if I can find either kit.

Apparently Di Montezemolo dised a bit of F1 that day.
The comments came at Mugello over the weekend, with the company staging its annual Ferrari World Finals event. Montezemolo brought up such topics as technical regulations favouring aerodynamics too much, the lack of in-season testing acting negatively on the Ferrari Driver Academy and stressing that top teams running third cars would be healthier for the sport than several smaller and less competitive teams.
However, via its anonymous Horse Whisperer column on Monday, the Scuderia has quickly moved to clarify the words.
Montezemolos observations were seen by some as a sort of ultimatum or even a threat to leave Formula 1, but the Whisperer can assure you that it was nothing of the kind, Mondays passage reads.
For starters, the words leave or ultimatum did not even feature in his pronouncement, but what really needs to be stressed is that Montezemolo spoke in a totally constructive fashion, which is usually the case with the President of a company that has always been in Formula 1 and who has the future well being of the greatest form of motorsport so close to his heart.

http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-young-drivers-pay-dearly-for-abu-dhabi-seats/F1: Young drivers pay dearly for Abu Dhabi seats
The backers of young drivers are paying hundreds of thousands of euros to test Formula One cars in Abu Dhabi later this month.
We revealed recently that Swiss 22-year-old Fabio Leimer, 14th in this year's GP2 standings, purchased his Sauber seat for the young driver test.
Earlier, it emerged that Toro Rosso's rides were open to the highest bidder at around the EUR 200,000 mark per day, with Sauber's seat costing even more.
"Yes, we have had to pay for this test," Leimer confirmed. "That's just the way it is in Formula One, but first you have to be in the position to do so."
It is a different story at the grandee teams. Red Bull (Jean-Eric Vergne), McLaren (Gary Paffett), Ferrari (Jules Bianchi) and Mercedes (Sam Bird) are taking the opportunity to give their preferred young chargers some rare test laps.
Elsewhere on the Yas Marina circuit, there will be some unfamiliar names like Kevin Korjus (Renault), Max Chilton (Force India), Stefano Coletti (Toro Rosso) and Dani Clos (HRT), while some highly rated young drivers like Christian Vietoris have missed out.
Auto Motor und Sport said the price-tags have been up to EUR 300,000 for a single test day in a midfield car.
"Success in the lower classes is no longer enough," said the German magazine.

While Maldonado's money was probably the biggest reason for him replacing Hulkenberg, its not like Pastor didn't have credentials, nor has he done that bad of a job compared to his experienced teammate.brotkasten said:http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-young-drivers-pay-dearly-for-abu-dhabi-seats/
Not a secret, but I really don't like this. The small teams might need it, but that way we'll only get more drivers like Madonado.
Toro Rosso will not select from outside of Red Bulls own talent pool for its 2012 driver lineup, team boss Franz Tost has confirmed.
It is believed Sebastien Buemi, Jaime Alguersuari, and young Red Bull hopefuls Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne, are all in the running for the Faenza based teams two race seats next year.
It is 100 per cent certain that next year we will have two Red Bull drivers, Austrian Tost told the Sportwoche publication. That is the meaning and the purpose of why Red Bull bought the team.
Our job is to allow young drivers from the Red Bull pool to enter formula one in training for (the move to) Red Bull Racing, said Tost.
You don't think Algie or Buemi will have full-time drives with STR next year?Wax Free Vanilla said:Ricciardo and Vergne are nailed on to drive for Toro Rosso next season, imo. The one who does the business will get that RedBull seat in 2013.
Paffett knows the team, is a respected driver and from all we've heard, gives good feedback ala PDR.Wax Free Vanilla said:Why do McLaren keep running Paffett at these tests? He's got no future in F1.
Looking forward to see what Vergne can do in that Red Bull.

They'll be cast into the Malebolge of former F1 drivers, as they haven't done enough to prove their worth. Jaime's fought back well recently, so he has a better chance of retaining his seat out of the two. But the Sword of Damocles is hanging over both of their heads. I've said it before and I'll say it again; F1 is a cut-throat world.Shaneus said:You don't think Algie or Buemi will have full-time drives with STR next year?
As is being a Red Bull development driver. I'm surprised Buemi's been given as long as he has.Edmond Dantès said:F1 is a cut-throat world.
Ferrari would like 3 cars so they can get some 'new' pieces from competitors more easily.AndyD said:They really meant 3 cars on grid. I was thinking like the old days, a spare car if something goes wrong.
Pshhh, some teams can barely afford to stay in with 2 cars, how would they make it with 3?
Foliorum Viridum said:3 car teams would be cool. More fighting up the front, more mobile chicanes at the back to cause drama/crashes.
Make it happen, Bernard.
Pretty much.a176 said:theres enough team order bullshit with 2 cars
why the hell would you want 3 cars
all races would be predefined at the start of the season basically
