Button and Vettel both incredibly well spoken, especially Seb considering how young he is. The guy is 24 years old and he's won the F1 WDC twice in a row. Jesus.

But does he have Webber's chin? No. So he is infinitely a worse person.

Oh, no arguments from me.

I can only hope that somehow the next RBR car is more tailored to the driving style and facial features of Webber than Vettel and he can absolutely dominate in it. In theory, there's no reason Webber can't do every bit as well as Vettel, but he has to pull his finger out on those starts.

That back-to-back video made me a bit teary, god damnit :(

I missed the Vettel virgin joke... where/what was it?

Sand ? Why do you want sand there ? There's no sand in that corner.

They seem to have finished the track no later than July. As in August every single curb and tire wall is now painted red-yellow. And the gravel trap seen here was replaced by asphalt:

Button targeting second world title
“Definitely. That is one of the reasons why I moved to this team.”

I think he'll do it.

Wickens more than ready for F1

Touted as the next big thing along with Jean-Eric Vergne and Mirko Bortolotti.

The future of F1.

Robert Wickens
Mirko Bortolotti
Jean-Eric Vergne

And the old timers:

Vettel
Hamilton

I hope Bortolotti is really that good. I'd love to see a capable Italian driver. Tbh, I can even remember the last one.

E: makes me wish Di Resta was as Italian as his name. :lol

Italian racing drivers/riders achieving success on Italian marques seems a rarity in this day and age. Valentino Rossi is certainly realising this with Ducati. :(

Alonso's continuing championship draught is getting ever increasing longer.

He's already gone five seasons without a title, the amount of years that Graham Hill and Jack Brabham went before they won their second titles. There's only one driver that has won a world championship after a six year draught; a certain Niki Lauda. No driver has gone seven years without a title and achieved another.

Alonso may just go down in history as a double world champion, with the likes of Alberto Ascari, Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Emerson Fittipaldi and Mika Häkkinen. A great achievement, but somehow I think this does his talent an injustice.

He can't do much if Ferrari can't get their act together. He's still a very capable driver and his starts are excellent, but the car just isn't fast enough to win races. And even if it is fast enough, Ferrari will screw him in the pits. He was 8 times on the podium this year and had one retirement less than Button, but he's still just third in the WDC.

Did you hear Seb make that virgin joke on the Forum?

I cringed.

He basically said: “There aren’t many virgins in Formula One… Sorry!”

It's just the way he said it.
Ah. Missed that bit. Oh well.

Otherwise, rather well spoken chap. Shame about his old man!

He should have won it last year if not for ferrari's stupidity at Abu dhabi.....so frustrating considering the comeback he had in the second half of the year

I really hope they step up next season

LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

That's what she said.

In 2010 I was a god. I was never behind a virgin...

Oh no, I just smirked as I typed that. Shoot me.

They should've ignored Webber just like everyone else, yes, but it's always easy to say things like that after a race. Next year, Ferrari has to be there from the very beginning and not just bring a somewhat capable car that they hope to improve over the season.

When was the last time they've had a truly blisteringly fast car at the beginning of a season? 2004 is the obvious answer.

2005 - Bad start, poor season (although the tyres played a major role in that)
2006 - Slower compared to Renault, but caught up in the end.
2007 - Same as above.
2008 - Same as above.
2009 - Mediocre from the beginning, carried on the mediocrity throughout the season with only one hight point in Spa.
2010 - A win in the first race, but still playing catch up to the mighty RB6, which due to mishaps from Red Bull and its drivers never really dominated like it should have.
2011 - Same old story.

Ferarri will fall further next year and Mercedes will be the number 3 team.

Schumacher will overtake them with this face:

Michael and Merc beating Ferrari would truly be humiliating for the Italian press especially taking into account the vitriol (TRADITORE!) they spouted on his return in 2010.

That might be true, but with Red Bull coming out of Kindergarten, they can't afford that anymore. They're not like Brawn 09, where they run out of money mid-season.

Mercedes wrote themselves off for 2012, so I wouldn't expect too much :(

Also I think Ferrari will get it right for once and be the team to beat.

While watching the race live everyone agreed that Alonso should pit as soon as they saw Webber doing it.

Later, when Fernando was unable to past Petrov, everybody was going mad at Ferrari for falling in the trap...

Kick Massa out of Ferarri, get Rosberg in there and let him show Alonso he's going to be the new number 1 driver, then!

Ferrari: Alonso - Rosberg
Mercedes: Schumacher - Webber
RBR: Vettel - Raikkonen

Send Massa to HRT.

2012 should be about podiums and occasional wins and 2013 should be a full on title challenge. I just hope Michael stays on to reap the benefits of the newly recruited personnel. That's if they make any difference to Merc's fortunes and I have my doubts.

Massa should go to Formula 3, surely.
Massa should go to Karting. At least there he won't have to be concerned about getting hit by random parts from other karts.

Webber and Michael at Mercedes... that's actually a very good driver pairing. They would compliment each other very well.

He'd probably go to the same league as whatever Hammy's brother races in and start clashing with him.

He's just a racist I think.

Michael seems better this second half of the season, or maybe Rosberg doesn't give a fuck anymore. I've always being a Schumacher fan, but I would love seeing Rosberg winning races and maybe a WDC, and I fear he's wasting his better years, he should've bailed out of Williams sooner. Or maybe he will have his chance when he's older, like Button or Webber last year.

Vettel WDC in 2012, Michael WDC in 2013, Rosberg WDC in 2014, German dominatoin baby.

Schumi's finally coming to terms with this new style of formula, it won't be long until he's outpacing Rosberg in qualifying and race pace. If he has a fast car, a title challenge will be on the cards.

Maybe it's Hamilton who's racist. I mean, isn't it weird that he never sees other drivers in the mirror? Maybe it's cuz they're white.

I don't know about Rosberg. He's driving for six years now and he was never on the podium once. Six years, not one podium. Looks like talent isn't inheritable after all.

He was three times on the podium last year, and made second on the Williams the first race in Singapore, when Alonso won with the crashgate.

You're right! I looked at the wrong stats, my bad.

I still don't believe in him. :lol

e: 4 times on the podium, 4 times he came in 3rd.
