He's a good driver and certainly showed potential in his rookie season, but his progress has stagnated. He seems stuck in the second tier of drivers and hasn't really shown enough to make the kind of leap Jenson made after his world title.Leonsito said:He was two times on the podium last year, and made second on the Williams the first race in Singapore, when Alonso won with the crashgate.
A bit like Nick Heidfeld, imo.Edmond Dantès said:He's a good driver and certainly showed potential in his rookie season, but his progress has stagnated. He seems stuck in the second tier of drivers and hasn't really shown enough to make the kind of leap Jenson made after his world title.
Because he'll play lap dog to Alonso, whereas another driver would be far less willing to make that sacrifice. Ferrari also think they can recapture the glory of the Schumacher/Barrichello era by replicating that ideal (dominant driver/subservient driver). It's not really the drivers that are the issue though, it's the whole team, starting at the very top with Stefano.brotkasten said:A bit like Nick Heidfeld, imo.
But we should talk a bit about Felipe.
I know he had a hard time and the car isn't perfect, but he is currently 6th in the WDC, with a huge gap behind his best friend Hamilton (90 vs 178 points). After 15 races, his best position was 5th place and he managed to out-qualify his teammate only three times.
Why is he still driving this car? Why is he getting paid 10M to drive this car? Why is he allowed to drive in a Ferrari for another year? It's just ridiculous.

It will be interesting to see how 'different' will be their 2012 car.
I still think that they made mistake with sacking Aldo Costa aka next Rory Byrne
Maybe I got the wrong impression this season, but shouldn't a lap dog always be there to defend his master? After Turkey, he always finished way behind Alonso and didn't do much to help him, unlike the Schumacher/Barichello or the Mika/David duo.Edmond Dantès said:Because he'll play lap dog to Alonso, whereas another driver would be far less willing to make that sacrifice. This is something I could see working. I guess it's possible that 2012 may not have to be his last year in F1.Edmond Dantès said:Webber and Michael at Mercedes... that's actually a very good driver pairing. They would compliment each other very well.

SourceWith just four races left this term Sky Sports are busy putting together their F1 team for 2012.
Although Martin Brundle has been non-committal on his whereabouts next year, Sky Sports Formula One executive producer Martin Turner is very keen to tie BBC's lead commentator down to a mega-bucks deal.
Turner also wants Simon Lazenby to front the networks coverage.
While Sky Sports News presenter Georgie Thompson has been mooted as a possible option, Turner, who worked with Lazenby during his time in rugby, wants to take him across to F1.
It is also worth noting that Lazenby has recently changed his alias on Twitter from @LazenbyRugby to @SimonLazenbySky.
The car looks great, nice work! The GT-One is a favorite of mine.S. L. said:

Ferarri have broken his spirit.
They're basically the complete opposite of McLaren at this point. Just utter cretins.

Maybe they mean drivers who drove for RBR at some stage in their career. Is it possible that two of those drivers listed could've scored a DNF in the same race while only one was racing for RBR?Dead Man said:

Hey, you just calm down there son. You may be better than me at a few select things, but that by no means leads to a presumption of general superiority!!Shaneus said:Nah. Just better than you
I should actually enter that F1 league thingy wherever it's run... next year. Looks like a fair whack of fun.

Probably only counting back to 2009 because of the rule changes that came into effect and that every car before the RB5 was midfield at best.Goldrusher said:
