The end of the 2011 Formula 1 season is here, and what better place to have the final race than the Autodromo Carlos Pace, also known as Interlagos by its fans. Though the race for the championship has already ended, the electrifying atmosphere of the Brazilian Grand Prix still makes for a great race.
2010 Race Summary
Sebastian Vettel won the race, leading home a 12 for Red Bull Racing, which was enough to give the team the Constructors' Championship for the first time. Mark Webber's second place enabled him to maintain second in the Drivers' Championship, and the margin to championship leader Fernando Alonso was reduced to eight points with Alonso's third place. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth and set fastest lap of the race to maintain a mathematical chance of winning the championship, dropping nine points behind third-placed Vettel and 24 behind Alonso.

-Autodromo Carlos Pace is a shortened version of the original 8 km Interlagos circuit that hosted the Brazilian Grand Prix from 1973 to 1977 and in 1979-80, with minor modifications. After a ten-year gap during which the Brazilian Grand Prix was held at Rios Jacarepagua circuit, (see above) the new Interlagos was back on the F1 calendar for 1990. It has hosted the Brazilian Grand Prix every year since.
