Well less than 5 minutes to go.

Q1 should usually see the small 3 teams leaving but for the first time it seems like Lotus may actually have a chance, especially if the FI team don't wake up. HRT will have to pull magic out of their car to get in the race, let alone close to anyone else.

As for the front guys? RBR vs McLaren is going to grab the headlines, but the Ferrari/Mercedes/Renault battle will be very interesting.

Indeed, a great PR guy for Team Lotus and assured of a drive there when the team develops further.

He was part of the radio 5 live practice session commentary team last year, if he didn't get a drive this year I was hoping he'd keep doing that.

Hmm, Buemi's car has decided to fall apart on the road, session stopped.

Congratulations, HRT!
Did they make it?
The danish commentators fail at math (said that the fastest time had to go down with 5 seconds for the 107% time to go down by 0.5 s), and my brain is drunk.

Yeah, the HRT's are both in the race tomorrow, which is a minor miracle.

The Lotus team will be happy, getting very close to Q2 on pace. RBR avoided using soft tyres and nearly paid for it. Webber was only a stroke of luck away from being 18th!

Edit: Williams is going the completely wrong way, dog slow it seems.

Yes, they did.

Ferrari Twitter:

P1 for Felipe and P3 for Fernando but none of the Red Bulls and the McLarens used the soft tyres so the classification is not realistic

So McLaren are about a second faster than Ferrari. Must start following this. Whoever runs it posts some unusually honest opinions about the team.

Christ on a bike.

Where the HELL did Button produce a 1:35.5 from? He must have murdered the track. Is the RBR domination about to be ruined?

Webber better, Button flying. That's what I like to see.

PS. Really liking Coulthard as a commentator. Always with fascinating insights from a driver's perspective.

Yes! McLaren is apparently running pretty even with RedBull

Thank god for McLaren discovering form and not let RB run away with it. Ferrari and the Mercs are disappointing. Renaults hopefully should do alright.

Yes, lets hope we have more of a straight fight this season compared with the last

Also Schumacher eleventh? Ross Brawn seen shaking his head, time to write his CV?

Kobiiiii in, Schuey out.

With Lewis fucking those tyres, what significance does that have on his Q3 and race?

Di Resta is starting to look the goods, too... getting some good times out of the FI.

So, we lose Schumacher, Buemi, Alguersuari, Di Resta, Barrichello and Sutil in Q2.

Amazing lap by Button, seriously he has just dominated Q2 with a single lap and has just re-written the formbook for this GP quite possibly.

Nice to see the Renaults in Q3 (Petrov faster again!) and Kobayashi in Q3 too.

Lewis really needs to get on pole in Q3 so he doesn't get held up by steady Jenson.
Steady? If he drives like this in the race he wont be touched. People underestimate just how good Button can drive when he is enjoying things. If he starts from pole (I still half expect RBR to produce a 1:35.0), he wont be holding anyone up.

Didn`t Nigel Mansel say a year or two back that he considered Jenson washed up? Things has taken an interesting turn for the better for him
