Tyre management 101: Do not lock your brakes up like that.

According to the BBC it may be starting to rain. Usually that means we wont see a car again for the rest of P1 but because the weekend may be wet, we'll possibly see a rush of cars to see what the wet tyres actually do.

I'm always surprised when teams don't have the cars fully assembled by the beginning of Friday practice.

Really? They can looked picked to the bone, but the team can probably assemble them faster than a driver takes to drive one lap. Seen how they hang around in the garrage half of the time, anyway, it seems reasonable to have the car apart and being able to change the setup. I'm guessing you're refering to the Sauber that looked like half a car? Hadn't it already done an installation lap?

Also, whatever happened to that poor HRT's engine? It looked like the left bank gave up while he was on his way out of the pits, then the right bank caved when he was 20 m past the pit lane. Poor engine.

You've gotta wonder if it was HRT or Cosworth's fault.

I'm gonna go on a limb and say HRT. Either someone dropped a ratched in there or they left the car to overheat or something like that. Not even in a race back in the engine-hungry days do I ever remember seeing first one bank, then the other give up in a car.

Wow. Looked like the suspension just broke at braking. The tyre wasn't to blame. Algersuari last year, anyone?

EDIT: Right, Buemi.

Damn, what a turn-around by Mclaren. Keep it up and the current thread title will have to change pretty quickly. Go Macca go! :)

Vettel still has got loads of speed left to show.
McLaren & Red Bull look very evenly matched on pace in normal fuel conditions.

This years Ferrari is looking bad after so much promise, hopefully they can get this thing fighting for race wins by Europe because they will basically be relying on Alonso's talents alone for points/podiums right now....
