Who cares what lap it was ? Who cares if Maldonado "was in the way" ?

Hamilton deliberately turned his wheels into Maldonado!
No he didn't, if he did not turn right he would've driven into the barrier.

Jenson looks close to tears. Poor guy.

What is with mclaren and not being able to get both of their guys competitive edge.
A lot of respect to red bull. Unlike mclaren its not either one of the two drivers, but both drivers who always have a good strategy and car.

EDIT: i take back my words, maldonado is a idiot. Hamilton would have hit the barrier if he did not turned right.

Jenson thought he had another lap left and didn't bother pushing after his first flying lap. It's his own fault as well as McLaren's who should have told him to push out another hot lap.

Button made an honest fuck up. McLaren conspiracy theories put to rest. Now to "Piquet" Maldonado out of F1 and all is just in the world again. Also Petrov AND Heidfeld got schooled by Senna. Heidfeld should drop those charges.

That's a massive generalisation of the season so far.

Damn, that sucks even more than getting fucked over for real. His team should have told him though.

Great effort by Senna and Alguersuari, should be interesting to see them mix it up with the top guys in the opening laps.

Thought Webber and Hamilton looked good for pole but once again Vettel takes it. Still, Vettel and Hamilton on the front row and then down into La Source and Eau Rouge will be great to watch.

I need to see Hamilton's on-board cam.

No doubt Maldonado moved left, but from the front-on shot, Hamilton also appears to drift somewhat to the right just before contact.

Giving them both the competitive edge? Webber hasn't even won a race yet this season :p

Kobayashi vs Button tomorrow :D

It'll be Button taking Kobay in a few laps, don't hope for anything :p

It actually looked like Lewis turned into Maldonado but he probably had no where to go except into the barrier.
Then why did Maldonado continue turning into Hamilton, all the way onto the grass instead of away from him in the opposite direction? Also what reason would Hamilton have to randomly run into someone at the end of a session?

Maldonado has anger management issues, everyone knows that. It was clearly his fault.

After the replay, I would say it was a emotion thing from both. A penalty for both driver would be okay.

Both drivers!?!? Hamilton got smashed into. There is no reason for him to take a penalty. If they do then his 'is it cos I is black' stuff may well be true! D:

Koba is an excellent starter, he and perez will probably swap places after the start :p

No traffic, from the onboard it looks like he made a small error on a curb.
He was up two hundredths before he got into perez's dirty air. You could see his car getting out of shape on the onboard.

Seriously, if Hamilton didn't turn right there he would have been in the wall.
I realise the track is curving right at that point, but he was nowhere near the edge, and from the front shot he appears to move slightly more right (relative to the normal right curve you would be taking).

so, how many places will webber lose tomorrow at the start?
take your bets

Webber will be the cause of the next 1998 Spa race.

Because Hamilton would be expecting Maldonado to not turn right (where the racing line is) on an in-lap? They shouldn't have been anywhere near each other.

wow. very good q3 by jaime, bruno and superperez. disappointing petrov didn't try harder. and kk :( come on

hahaha. ham. I didn't move anywhere. stop lying, asshole.

Still both red bull drivers have been the most consistent all year.
