VETTEL!!

what a drive from him and what a strategy by the team. What ever happened he responded. Overtook people and had no problem with the tires.
Webber amazing drive, horrible start, great podium.
A lot of respect for button and his amazing drive.
Shumi has been trully fantastic today, from 24th to 5th nice!!.

extends his lead again!!! fuck yeaaaah!!

Nice race. Good win by vettel, and awesome results by schumi. Senna didn't get lapped either. Shame about hammy, but whatever. Monza in two weeks, off to bed again! Stay cool and civil F1 gaf :p

Vettel wins!, Back on the top step after a mid season wobble. Webber 2nd after a great recovery from a bad start. Button 3rd after a bad start a wing failure and bad quali (Drive of the day). Alonso 4th, Schumacher 5th, Rosberg 6th, Sutil 7th, Massa 8th, Petrov 9th and Maldonardo 10th.

Interesting race. Yes there was a lull in the middle and Vettel ran off with it but Jenson Button proved that he is the currently the form driver by passing pretty much everyone, and Schumacher recovered a dismal qualifying to a great 5th.

Lots of good drives this race.

Schumi's best race of the season, hell probably his best since his comeback, Button did a great job to get on the podium, and Webber beasted the prime tyres.

I love Spa, what a great race, great drive by Button & Schumacher. Good 1-2 for RBR too.

Did I mention that I love Spa? :D

Man button is such a nice guy, my respect and love for that grows with every race.

Great win by vettel, nice team effort by RBR, and amazing strategy by RBR.

who was button talking about with the straight line speed?

Surprisingly entertaining race. Appreciate the intermission in the middle when I thought it was all over and they put Webber on the hard, but the results are alright.

Still can't stand Vettel though. Love to have seen what would've happened without that SC and pit.

PS. Where the hell was everyone for Steamchat?

Shame about Jenson yesterday and Hamilton today, McLaren could have made it a lot more interesting at the front. And Ferrari isn't very far off now.

So fucking pissed at Ferrari, yet again they don't pit under the safety car and fuck up the race for Alonso. They are consistently inept at strategy and losing places due to crap pit stops, it's infuriating.

Saying that, it was an enjoyable race. Loved seeing Schumacher coming through the field and Button doing well despite their mishaps. Just a shame the race result cemented Vettel's lead yet again.

I'm out. Thanks for the company chaps, after the first few pages of shite, we did okay I think.

Yeah thankfully it seems to have calmed down. Hopefully it stays this way. Funny thing is that half of the people posting then we haven't seen again.

Button is my driver of the day.

Now then, onwards to Monza!

Yeah we just need to cut the hate for the drivers (partially me but also the vettel hate)
and this should be a nice thread.

The decision not to stop during the SC was due to Alonso's tyres degradation being nowhere near Vettel's and I don't think he had any new sets of options left. I suspect Ferrari were banking on Vettel making two more stops after the SC but he managed to stretch his second stint to convert his strategy into a 3-top race. Ferrari couldn't do naything against that, RBR were too fast on the primes and Alonso couldn't afford to make two more stops.

I hope Monza has the McLarens back on an equal footing with the RBRs and Ferrari from the start (So Hamilton not being involved in crashes and Button managing to qualify well). Aside from that, more of the same please!

That guy that looks like a smug personal shopper and hands the top three their caps and watches must have a field day during the closing laps of some of the races. "Which watch and cap should I have ready?? Hope he doesn`t overtake that dude cuz` I have no idea where the Casio is!"

Also, for some reason, I get the impression that he uses his line of work as a massive pick-up line: "I work with Formula, yeah, lots of cash and private parties and Monaco and casinos and money, money, money... Wanna tag along to HRTs hospitality area and check my camber...?

Interesting point... if Mark got a decent start, he could've won. No reason any number of his shit starts this year cost him a victory.

Great drives from Vettel, Button and Schumi. With so many starts in his career you'd think Webber would understand how it works by now.

German anthem is great, Austrian is crap.

The lurkers always tend to come out when something controversial happens, then sink into oblivion once they're called out by the reasonable, well-mannered, core contributors of this thread. :/

Alonso actually knew this during the race and Stella told him it wasn't a distater even though it was.

Also, great drive by schumi.....I hope he gets on the podium soon

If there was no safety car he might've won anyway, he really did a great job on the primes. but that's racing.

Thats the big if game. Hamilton could have won if he didnt crash, Webber could have won if he had a good start. Alonso could have won if he pitted. Button could have won if he had a good qualy, Shumi could have won if his team did not fuck his tire up. etc etc etc etc

Try as he might Eddie can't convince Martin that there's anything wrong with his golden boy. Button should be a great example of the virtue of controlled agression.

Exactly.

Though really, Webber's starts. He's been driving for 9 years FFS. It's so predictable it's infuriating.

Am I right in thinking that they're costing him victories over Vettel?

Oh, Webber was supposed to pit when Vettel did. Shit.

If he went on hards then... what would've happened?

Edit: Bahahaha, the joke by Button about Webber's poor start. Fucking hilarious!
