I don't get Italy loving Ferarri just because it's an Italian team. So silly.
Seriously?

Why does mclaren get so much support at silverstone?

It's Ferrari at monza.....of course they are going to be passionate

Yeah but I'm British and I don't feel proud or passionate about McLaren. I like the way they let their racers drive and I love both Hamilton and Button, but my love for them has nothing to do with the fact it's a British team.

National pride over something like a racing team is stupid.

RBR seem to improve when it counts, amazing victory's in spa and italy. Circuits that usually dont suit their car. Newey is an absolute genious.

Amazing victory by vettel, amazing overtake and great drive all race long. People seem to forget he set the fastest lap 14 times i think this grand prix.

Amazing race from button, had a bad start but he showed hamilton how you can overtake cleanly.

Shumi out performed his car, i really hope he gets an even faster car next year, i can really see him having a podium next year.

Hamilton raced like a gentlemen though, did not make the mistake he usually makes so i think he is improving in that aspect.

overall this has been an amazing race. Who ever says this year has been dull or boring does not know what he is talking about.

Just reading through this thread and I'm so pleased I stayed away from GAF during the race.

Good race overall, Schumacher pushed it so much, it almost just looked silly with him moving around all the time.

I'm probably going to stay away from this thread during races now, the amount of 'Sunday fools' in this thread is just outrageous.

Aww come on now man, dont do that. Maybe we should have a chat like we had in the nba thread with a password or something.

No moree sky no moree sky lol that crowd.

That's the difference. Italians are simply more passionate than Brits. And Ferrari is far more embedded in Italian culture than McLaren is in British culture.

Button really epitomizes the hardworking bluecollar F1-driver. Impressive consistensy
That's what it is! It's the same with Webber and the only way I could describe it was a similarity to drivers in the early-mid 90s where there were fewer really young drivers and more that had worked their way up the ranks. But you've nailed it... they're definitely my two favourite drivers on the grid for that reason.

I actually thought the thread improved when i stopped bitching on hamilton lol. Maybe we should confront people a bit more on it.

Could've happened, so annoying especially when you see the BBC wasting money on showing the Olympics in three areas in 8K resolution which no one will give a shit about.
8k? Fucking hell I bet that's incredible. 4k at the cinema blows my mind.

8K are you kidding me, woow. But yeah it sucks, i really want them to at least knock it out of the park with the 10 races they get next year.

Should have cut BBC Three when they had the chance.

It's not quite 8K but it's 7680p, close enough

Yep, that channel is just pure bile.

Edit -

Good to see Hamilton not complaining about Schumi, more like it.

Why are you here? It's people like you that have ruined this thread.
You think Lewis performed to his abilities today? I'm a fan of his but when's he's shit i'll call him on it. Look at his demeanour in his interview and tell me if you think he's happy with how he raced today.

The kid has been going backwards recently and its a damn shame.

It was bearable before, but it's boring now. The core F1 GAF crowd is great fun to chat with inbetween races, but almost the dozens of people who only show up on Sundays have ruined the thread.

Harsh, but true.

Hamilton being sensibly frustrated in an interview! Much better than playing the humorous race card :p

This is so unlike hamilton, im curious to know if its his decisions or the team's. He has changed a lot, not only his interviews but his racing as well.

I can understand Hamilton not saying anything about the double moves but when you look at these replays it's hard to deny that Schumacher was definitely pushing it at the very least.

I'd say a couple were definitely two moves.

Vettel has the confidence to take some chances that makes good racing. His win was scarily dominant today. The other teams needs to wake up if they don't want to be embarrassed by next season. How much did Vettel gain in the pits alone today? Not that it mattered in the slightest.

Button straight up outclassed Hamilton today. He has a way of calmly letting shit come to him and not force his own race. He looks better this season than his season at Brawn in my opinion.

The trolls around here with their constant Hamilton bullshit could kindly fuck off. If anything happens involving Hamilton ghouls appear and barf feces for the following 10-15 posts. Nobody went apeshit when Webber messed up his race...

Oh come on DC, the Reubens and Hamilton things aren't comparable, one was too far and the other was just aggressive racing. It's not as if Hamilton was gonna be wiped out.

Lewis' problem today was his lack of top speed that he suffered from his 7th Gear ratio that was too short. When you've got DRS, KERS and a slipstream and you still can't pull alongside, that's not your fault, that's the car. Michael did a great job to keep putting his car in places to prevent him passing, though, let's not take anything away from Schumacher. But to say that Lewis was 'shit' today is just wrong. And I'm not even a Hamilton fan.

The reason I am not enjoying this thread is because beforehand it was FUN - and we all loved the motor racing.

Now we just got fanboys ruining it, with plenty of moaning. Simple as.

Anyway, Hamilton is blatantly wanting to vent. Bless him.

And, what he want? Hamilton has done the same things this year and never got a penalty. He should just say it's racing...

Hopefully Mercedes have a fast car next year, would be sad to see Schumi bow out quietly. Guy still clearly has something to offer if you put him in a competitive car.

It's actually much more comparable to what he did to Petrov at Montreal last year. Or maybe it was Melboune this year. The races are all a jumble at this point.

The double move was just great racing and I hope that sets a precedent for the rest of the season.

Ironic coming from the biggest Webber fanboy in the thread tbh.

You should've seen the stream of texts I got from Lucius when Webber crashed out. Poorly typed because of the tears in his eyes.

I just meant that it wouldn't be a "OH LEWIS YOU COMPLAINER YOU" situation. If he said Michael made a few too many moves then it's hard to argue with - especially when Charlie and Ross both warned Michael about it. He clearly wanted to say more than he did.
