I think Ferrari need to go to f1.com and take a look at the edits.
Second to Vettel is Smedley and he is F-ing and Jeffing all over the place.

what will happen in 2013 is this:

Perez Ferrari
DiResta Mercedes
Hamilton Red Bull
Hamilton moving would rely solely on the 2012 season.

I still don't see it happening (and hope it doesn't).

The F'ing and Jeffing is a trick so that the FIA can't put the team radio broadcasts out as part of the TV feed.

Anytime they don't want something to go out over the radio feed to the TV stations (and the other teams), all they do is drop F-bombs all over it :)

Is DiResta contracted to Mercedes? I'm sure I remember hearing Brundle/Jordan or other say he's contracted to Mercedes so he would either be with the works team or a Mercedes powered team ie: McLaren, Force India. Think he'll definitely end up at one of the two...

i dont think mercedes would operate like that, they have Schumi and Rosberg in the works team, with the clock running on one driver, let diresta cut his teeth in FI, FI get a slight discount on the engines.

just how RBR are doing with 5!!!!! of their drivers in the line-ups.
talk about trying to cover your bases and ensure both technical and driver dominance.

Perez is FDA and again is sharpening himself for 2 seasons at a technology partner.

Vettel is the prime example i guess.

Hammy knows what a Newey car can do, and also knows that if he wants the sacred '3', he needs to go where the sun shines brightest.

Not contracted, but he has strong connection with the marque, just like a certain Michael Schumacher had in 1990 and 1991.

Also, Lewis in the RB9alongside Vettel would be a sight to behold.

As good as Newey is; stagnation does tend to kick in when he's at a team for too long and has already achieved all that can be achieved.

The RB5/6/7 series reminds of the the FW14/14b/15b series in a way.

The FW14 showed great potential winning a few races, and was on an upward curve towards the end of the season, just like the RB5.

The FW14b was the dominant car of the season and swept all before it, just like the RB6 (even though Red Bull made it far more difficult for themselves).

The FW15c is the most technologically advanced F1 car ever and certainly one of the greats. The RB7 certainly parallels that car in many ways. Very few F1 observers really thought that the RB7 would be any less grand than its predecessor.

The ill fated FW16 came next and Williams started to falter.

It's happened before and could happen again.

I suspect this aswell. But next year there are very few regulation changes - so its unlikley that the RB8 will fall that far behind.
Other cars may catch up, but the RB8 will still be at the sharp end of the grid

It would be such a shame if Alonso didnt will at least 1 more title, he is such a great driver.

God, I hope the teams are far closer than they are this year. At least, than the start of this year. A five or six-way fight between Vettel, Webber, Hamilton, Button, Alonso and someone else would reinvigorate the sport something fierce.

it would be, i think he would be kicking him self over how things played out at McLaren in 07.....it led to two lost years and then to come so close in 2010 as well!

Ferrari better pull it together next year

Hamilton's rookie season gave him a bad rep as being difficult to team with. I think that label was a bit unfair to put on him, and seeing how his teamships with both Kovalainen and Button were positive, it should testify that he could do just fine in a team with someone like Vettel.

Hamilton has limited tolerance for not winning though. If he gets a season with no wins next year, I'm sure he would be itching to get some wings. There is no way he is joining Ferrari before Alonso is retired though.

Lewis would look good in red. But it will happen sometime after 2016 (or if Ferrari screw 2 following seasons and Alonso packs his bags back to Flavio)

Newey: RB8 will amaze.

http://www.f1zone.net/news/newey-2012-red-bull-to-surprise-f1-paddock/9407/

Newey isn't normally one to come out with such a statement, very ominous, very ominous indeed. It could all be smoke and daggers though. I actually wouldn't mind seeing another year of crushing domination, I like seeing records broken and athletes and teams at the peak of their powers. I lived through the period of Williams domination and Ferrari domination, so my love for F1 will surely survive another period of might and prowess exhibited by a team.

Just over 1 day until practice starts! 5 year anniversary of me watching F1 (stumbled upon it while just flipping channels around on Saturday night... so glad I did!).

Noooooo, are you crazy?

The outcome of the next 5 races have little meaning. Why would you want that again?

Yep. That's real. And you can pre-order them like I did before I wrote this damn thing up:

http://tomopop.com/nendoroid-figma-kamui-kobayashi-up-for-pre-order-21354.phtml

One of his sponsors is toy maker/distributor Good Smile Company. Anyone who knows anything about figures knows this was pretty much the logical result. I like the Nendoroid with the helmet on, myself.
I hate that. They should have censors who can edit in a bleep and push it out like the other messages.

I remember reading that Twitter response that he wrote... kind of do have to wonder whether he did actually say those exact words or if he was misquoted. They're not the sort of words he'd ever use. Ever.
Quotes are often taken out of context by F1 journalists.

I'll personally blame Sky for my lack of interest.
I think many will.

This year has without a doubt been the year when I've been the most interested in F1, but by next year I'll be forced to not care as much sadly.

I'll still attempt to watch the races, but it won't be the same.

Was just looking at my Twitter and saw this:

LeeMcKenzieF1 Lee McKenzie
Interviewed @pauldirestaf1 who talked about his season and 2012. Also sat down with Massa who is still angry with Hamilton!

Hilarious interviews incoming this weekend I think.
