1000.

More than half of my posts are in this thread. Ah well. I look forward to Leunam's second thread.
Haha, don't stop contributing to the conversation. I'm sure we all value your input.
Was just looking at my Twitter and saw this:

LeeMcKenzieF1 Lee McKenzie
Interviewed @pauldirestaf1 who talked about his season and 2012. Also sat down with Massa who is still angry with Hamilton!

Hilarious interviews incoming this weekend I think.
lawlz, didn't Massa say just a few days ago that he has moved on from the incident?

Has Sky made any announcements on their announcers for next year? I guess we will probably have to wait until this season is over. I hope they are able to get Brundle/Coulthard but I'm not sure if either has a contract with the BBC.

I think Brundle/Coulthard & E.J. will stick to the Beeb. They seem pretty loyal, maybe Johnathan Legard & David Croft to Sky?

Edit: About thread activity, hey I finally got my account approved a couple months ago! So far I've been doing my damndest to satisfy the GAF1 cravings but not many people downloading. Then again it is a pretty ghetto UI I have haha. I'll put some attention towards it come end of season :)

Plus, it's sort of fun to see the familiar names/avatars/faces. I have no idea to whom I'm talking to in other threads!

Legard and Croft are more BBC than any of them (not freelancers). There's also no way Sky would even consider hiring a commentator that was so widely despised as Legard.

I think Brundle/DC will be the two consistent personalities, with presenters changing.

In the perfect world they'd just share Jake/EJ as well, but that won't happen.

hahaha too awesome. I think Sauber was saying something on their Twitter about a soap box derby at the start finish. Even their box car has more sponsorship than last years car.

Sweet helmet, too.

Button apparently signed 4 year contract, worth 50 million £. This means that he will stay at Mclaren until the end of his F1 driver career.

I wonder if last year's car was blank on, purpose sort of like Brawn? I mean hell, I would have paid $1000 to get my name on there or even HRT! Hmmmmmmmmm......

Soap box derby down Eau Rouge or the backside of Spa would be amazing!

Do HRT still have the "Your name here!" placeholders instead of real sponsors?

Edit:

You can buy the "cool spot" on the RW endplate!

Jake twitted recently about how he's looking forward to 2012 and continuing his role as the front man, but he also said it was an honour to have worked alongside Eddie for the past three years or something to that effect. It seems Brundle and Coulthard are remaining alongside Jake and Eddie's leaving the BBC coverage.

:D

If true I'm glad they're not leaving the BBC! Sad about Eddie though.

I'll miss his ability to just grab people for impromptu interviews and his shirts. Couldn't stand him during his Jordan days, but he's grown on me and it'll be a shame to see the team split.

I actually like Eddie because he just flat out says stuff how it is, just like Irvine in his interview with Kravitz. Having said that though, I wont miss some of his vastly over opinionated comments and it also means we wont have to go through the shambles that was the Abu Dhabi pit walk last year.

My memory is a little hazy on that, what did he say/do?

Instead of talking to the drivers & people the fans want to see, like Brundle does, he went ahead and grabbed Burnie for a chat, then some other random guy and to top it off, he barged into the King of Spain who was mid-conversation with Alonso for a chat. Oh, and he spent like five minutes commending the Prince of Abu Dhabi on what a commendable job they've done on the grand prix and for Formula 1.

Something along those lines. Someone did post a video of it earlier in the thread, but I can't seem to find it on YouTube anymore.

Im really hoping vettel can capture the championship in style this weekend.

anything below a podium finish would suck. This is his race to lose, he has been ace there the past few years.

It would be quite amusing if Suzuka is the first race this year that he fails to finish, although that would be pretty harsh.

Awesome haul. Did you take pictures of the McLaren body?
dsc_02479cbz.jpg

looks alright from the pic, but when you look closely, you don't want to have it in your shelf ;P
also the F103 chassi isn't suited so well for modern bodys as it is too wide, the new F104 is narrower and looks beter with modern f1 cars

Awesome! Throw some new foams on and you're ready to run....although I think you said you're not going to be running it. :p

What motor does it come with? It doesn't say, or I missed it, on their website. 540?

I really like Vettel as a person, but a DNF in Suzuka would be awesome.

came with a Tamiya SuperStock RZ (540 size), since it's 2WD and directdrive it should go like hell with that

There are some really good articles in the latest Autosport Magazine about Suzuka and other stuff. Coincidentally on my server.

Sebastian Vettel goes through 130R flat-out with DRS activated.
I challenged them to take 130R with DRS activated and he did it. Proof Seb is part of F1 GAF.

As always, great gifs SunhiLegend!

Props to the painter of the corners in the Casio Triangle! lol I like how you can still see the flat spot.
