2008 and 2009, sure. 2007? Nope.

Kimi is by far the better driver, the proof of which, is in the pudding.
Kimi at his best (McLaren years) was on a whole different level to Massa, as good as Massa was for a few fleeting seasons.

I just spent a ton of time looking for an update on the Indian GP and my hard work finally paid off.

Even when his interest was waning Kimi still had incredible flashes of brilliance, like pretty much every time he went to Spa. Kimi at his best (03, 05 and 07) is a match for anyone on the grid today.

Also, I'm still not convinced that the Indian GP will be anything but a disaster.

Long shot, but has anyone here made use of the Silverstone hospitality suites on race day? I'm trying to organise something for next year and first hand accounts are usually much better than anything else.
Bump for the new page and then I'll start looking for some F1 forums where I can ask. :)

Based on the video it looks like they have quite a bit of work to complete before the race....in a month.

edit*
Inspired by Leunam's McLaren F1 model build, I decided to open one of the models I have had for a while. I bought it 50% off at a local hobby shop that went out of business earlier this year. It's not F1 related but it should be fun...and interesting with all Japanese instructions.

Dude, awesome. If you've got any questions regarding putting it together, decals, details, whatever I'm sure S. L. and I and a few others can help. Best of luck but more importantly have fun!

I'm expecting South Korea levels of unfinished but raceable track for the Indian GP.

This is probably the one instance where Codemasters have modeled a track perfectly in F1 2011, right down to the unfinished bits.

Seeing those Indian pics makes me fear for the US Grand Prix.
Interesting you should mention that!
Rumours are that the funding for the track has been pulled, the build has slowed to a crawl in the last 2 months and reports of contractors not being payed, etc..

My god, GAF has a man crush on Raikkonen that just won´t stop.

Why is it so difficult to people to admit that Massa was better than Kimi in the 2008, 2009 and also for half of the 2007 season?

It´s not rocket science folks.

Massa's a horrible driver. It´s not rocket science folks.

Jesus.

I'm sorry you guys, I really wanted to play with you guys this year, but it seems as if codemasters released a buggy game again. I have too many games to buy the next couple of months and can't justify this purchase ._.

That straight on the india circuit looks nice, love to see a shot from upt front, with cars on a lower level than other cars.

At least they have another year to go at least.

You'd think they have enough time to work things over. But after korea now its india and austin all having problems making the deadline.

It's crazy to think that next weekend is Suzuka already.

This year has just gone by SO quickly, it feels like yesterday we were gearing up for Melbourne.

All we need is an ultra eventful race to push this thread over the 20,000 limit.

New thread title then like:
"The Formula1 2011 Season where Vettel fingered everyone.."

I like this, ties in very well with the current title. I've been thinking about a new title as well and all I came up with was "The Formula 1 2011 Season of That Damned Finger."

http://www.statesman.com/news/local/slowdown-raises-questions-about-future-of-f1-1887471.html

Can't find the earlier articles but there were ones from 2-3 months ago on the work on site slowing down and delays in contractors being paid.
Lots of local opposition to the state paying a large sum of money to get this track built.
Ugh, hope that isn't the case. I thought stuff just slowed down to wait on more building permits or on other parts of the construction teams.

F1.com race edit is up for Singapore, sorry if old!

Had a slight chuckle over Smedley telling Massa to "destroy his [Hamilton's] race" and Lewis going over the radio "of course I have a drive through."

Are any of you into papercraft? I have hundreds of F1 cars in papercraft form and the guides.
More of an Origami fan. Cars, especially something as complex as an F1 car would be very difficult to pull off.

Quick interview of Aldo Costa by Leo Turrini:

http://club.quotidiano.net/turrini/parla_aldous_ex_silente_costa

When are you going to start?
‘From dec 1st by contract. I'll be the engineering director’.

Nice challenge and revenge.
‘I wouldn't accept any other offers. Mercedes aims to the top, the title, we won't be there right now but we'll get there.’.

Did Schumi call you?
‘No, it was Ross Brawn, we used to work together at Ferrari and we won 5 consecutive titles from 2000 to 2004’.

What did Brawn tell you?
‘That Schumi is as good as before and Mercedes has resources and patience’.

Meaning?
‘We won't fight for the championship in 2012 but later we will’.

Is Schumi the same you knew?
‘Yes. He struggled at the beginning because a 3 years stop is a big thing. But now he's back to his levels. And Rosberg is very competitive as well’.

You, Michael, Ross... You're building up again the old Ferrari under the Mercedes banner.
‘Yes, we know each other well and we're really hungry for success’.

Are you going to bring other people with you?
‘Not at the moment. But I have great esteem for many collegues I left in Maranello, where I've been working since 1996’.

Any regret?
‘I look forward not behind’.

They fired you in may, but now in october Ferrari is not doing very well anyway.
‘Let's draw a veil over that episode’.

Come on.
‘Well, they fired me and they immediately said that the car in summer was faster because I was not there anymore. But those changes were mine, I developed them. Now they got new things from other people and you can see they're still not going anywere’.

It was Alonso who wanted you to leave?
‘No comment, I'm working for Schumi now’.

You, Michael, Ross... You're building up again the old Ferrari under the Mercedes banner.
‘Yes, we know each other well and we're really hungry for success’.

My biggest fear.

Lacking three of the most vital components of the dream team; Jean Todt, Rory Byrne and Schumacher prime.

How ironic that it ended up being the other way around.

People often wonder why I hate Ferrari but I think this sums it up quite well.

That's unfair, Massa is becoming more and more of a disgrace to the Ferrari name tbh.

I'm actually a massive fan of the Alonso - Ferrari combo, and I never thought I'd hear myself say that.
