This. Being an F1 fan and hating Monza is ridiculous.

Kimi at his best (McLaren years) was on a whole different level to Massa, as good as Massa was for a few fleeting seasons.Ark said:2008 and 2009, sure. 2007? Nope.
Kimi is by far the better driver, the proof of which, is in the pudding.
Even when his interest was waning Kimi still had incredible flashes of brilliance, like pretty much every time he went to Spa. Kimi at his best (03, 05 and 07) is a match for anyone on the grid today.Edmond Dantès said:Kimi at his best (McLaren years) was on a whole different level to Massa, as good as Massa was for a few fleeting seasons.
Bump for the new page and then I'll start looking for some F1 forums where I can ask.Psychotext said:Long shot, but has anyone here made use of the Silverstone hospitality suites on race day? Based on the video it looks like they have quite a bit of work to complete before the race....in a month.mclaren777 said:I just spent a ton of time looking for an update on the Indian GP and my hard work finally paid off.

This is probably the one instance where Codemasters have modeled a track perfectly in F1 2011, right down to the unfinished bits.navanman said:I'm expecting South Korea levels of unfinished but raceable track for the Indian GP.
Interesting you should mention that!doitlive said:Seeing those Indian pics makes me fear for the US Grand Prix.

Why is it so difficult to people to admit that Massa was better than Kimi in the 2008, 2009 and also for half of the 2007 season?
It´s not rocket science folks.

Rumours are that the funding for the track has been pulled, the build has slowed to a crawl in the last 2 months and reports of contractors not being payed, etc..

At least they have another year to go at least.

This year has just gone by SO quickly, it feels like yesterday we were gearing up for Melbourne.

Q: Bernie, do you have the slightest doubt that Sebastian will defend his title?
BE: Not for one single moment. Even if he decided to go on his holidays for the rest of the season there would be no one to take it away from him.
Ugh, hope that isn't the case. I thought stuff just slowed down to wait on more building permits or on other parts of the construction teams.navanman said:http://www.forumula1.com/2011/f1/f1-news/report-hints-us-gp-project-to-lose-promoter-hellmund/

Can't find the earlier articles but there were ones from 2-3 months ago on the work on site slowing down and delays in contractors being paid.
Lots of local opposition to the state paying a large sum of money to get this track built.

More of an Origami fan. Cars, especially something as complex as an F1 car would be very difficult to pull off.mblitek said:Are any of you into papercraft? I have hundreds of F1 cars in papercraft form and the guides.

When are you going to start?
From dec 1st by contract. I'll be the engineering director.
Nice challenge and revenge.
I wouldn't accept any other offers. Mercedes aims to the top, the title, we won't be there right now but we'll get there..
Did Schumi call you?
No, it was Ross Brawn, we used to work together at Ferrari and we won 5 consecutive titles from 2000 to 2004.
What did Brawn tell you?
That Schumi is as good as before and Mercedes has resources and patience.
Meaning?
We won't fight for the championship in 2012 but later we will.
Is Schumi the same you knew?
Yes. He struggled at the beginning because a 3 years stop is a big thing. But now he's back to his levels. And Rosberg is very competitive as well.
You, Michael, Ross... You're building up again the old Ferrari under the Mercedes banner.
Yes, we know each other well and we're really hungry for success.
Are you going to bring other people with you?
Not at the moment. But I have great esteem for many collegues I left in Maranello, where I've been working since 1996.
Any regret?
I look forward not behind.
They fired you in may, but now in october Ferrari is not doing very well anyway.
Let's draw a veil over that episode.
Come on.
Well, they fired me and they immediately said that the car in summer was faster because I was not there anymore. But those changes were mine, I developed them. Now they got new things from other people and you can see they're still not going anywere.
It was Alonso who wanted you to leave?
No comment, I'm working for Schumi now.
Lacking three of the most vital components of the dream team; Jean Todt, Rory Byrne and Schumacher prime.brotkasten said:You, Michael, Ross... You're building up again the old Ferrari under the Mercedes banner.
