Here's the RB6 papercraft to give you an idea. I'm still downloading the rest.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even come close to being able to put the front wing together.

I watched Grand Prix for the first time; good movie. I loved the vintage sounds and views of Monaco and Spa. I watched Le Mans a couple years ago and found it pretty slow for how hyped it is. I enjoyed GP much more. The movie part was better than I expected it to be as well.

That was Linkin Park? Shit.

What a terrible band they are now, a shadow of what they used to be. Ah well, I've moved on anyway. Electronic all the way!

Kim's comeback=====================================> Benson's comeback.
That first video is all exciting with Martin Brundle giving a good commentary and then all of a sudden...

...James Allen out of nowhere "YEEEAAAHHHH!!! WHAT A BRILLIANT MOVE!!"

A poor commentator, but a very well informed and excellent F1 writer/journalist.

I've never understood the love for Kimi. I've only ever seen him as a boring emotionless robot who looked like he didn't care about racing anymore.
Note I only REALLY got into F1 around 2008, before then I didn't follow too closely.

Actually I liked James' enthusiasm and I remember I was also shouting for Kimi's overtaking. James' "Grand Prix at its finest" really made me even more emotional at that time.

I completely agree, the man really knows Formula 1.

Probably because it's been a few years since he's been part of the F1 commentary, hearing him being slightly too loud and excitable is just a bit jarring now. Although deep down inside I still long for races starts with James Allen "...and the Australian Grand Prix is ... ... GOOOOOOOO!!!"

Have they announced anything about the DRS zones at Suzuka? I'd assume it would be between Spoon and 130R but maybe the pit straight also? Actually I think is should be between Spoon and Casio. You want to take 130R with DRS activated? Any takers? Maldonado?

Thanks Andy, I didn't know it was out yet either. Hopefully it will make for some interesting battles in turn 1 and the S curves.

I'd have detection at 13 and activation at 14, too.

Love me them double DRS!

I dunno. 130R has a history of ... well, being troublesome. I can see why they might want to see how things go with this DRS zone first, then maybe add a second next year.

Next year I would like to see the impact of DRS reduced but the ability to use it anywhere on the track. edit, Actually that might be like not having DRS at all if everyone can use it whenever.

I think that's a great decision to put the DRS zone on the S/F straight. Should encourage more overtaking without making things too easy.

I bet a 2011 F1 car could take 130R at full throttle even with the wing open. But a sensible decision to put DRS on the other straight nonetheless.

Where are you guys getting these Questions?

I uploaded Inside GP Motors for Japan, I really like the Inside GP Motors series. It offers a good insiders look.

Remember Vettel taking pole and the win on Sunday? Agh, brutal. Not to mention it's his favourite circuit. So the question is, who's going to qualify 3rd? I say Button. The McLaren is looking good.

That sounds good to me.

The problem with toying around with DRS at 130R is that it doesn't have much runoff. Any incident there could be bad, especially if it's the rear breaking free. Think back to McNish's crash there in 2002.

Anyone who wants a laugh, have a look at Webber's most recent tweets. Pretty funny!

Mark definitely has one of the better senses of humour for sure. Lucky S.OB. got to test drive the GT3 RS 4.0 ohhhhhhhhhhhh man. Mark's not hurting with his GT2 RS though...

After seeing some of his surprisingly well-worded tweets, I'm beginning to wonder if the ones that use typical Aussie-isms (mate, strewth etc.) are him just playing up the stereotype. He's certainly not like that in majority of the interviews I've seen of his. If that's the case... fucking bravo, Mark.

Easy question this week.
Although picking a team will be hard, since the championship is basically over will Ferrari start testing all this new stuff & fall down the grid?
Or will button push as hard as possible to try & ge first?
Or will we all get what we want & vettel will retire this race?

So many choices!

i ususally find Button's twitter the most enjoyable to follow. Kovaleinen is kinda funny in an unintended way, he tweets a lot but 90% are him going to work out, coming from workout or doing a workout right now :p

Hamiltons is by far the worst, I think we can all agree on that.

EDIT: Also McLaren is just as likley to be a 2-DNF :D

I love reading the F1 Slate

Jarno Trulli
It is important to appreciate a different pace, in the car, and in life. Only through taking one's time can a person admire the beauty of this world, the trees, the grass, and my brand of full-bodied speciality wines from my exclusive vineyard in Abruzzo.

Ron Dennis
Ship us over a few more cases of that plonk pronto there Jarno, half a bottle of that red sauce and I'm ready to face the day.

Fernando Alonso
It is great stuff to be fair to him, his white wine does a cracking job at cleaning my toilet bowls.

Button signs multi-year contract at McLaren

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/95051

Jenson Button will stay on at the McLaren team, having signed a multi-year contract with the British squad, it was confirmed on Wednesday.

The Briton joined McLaren as world champion in 2010, having clinched his first title with the Brawn GP squad back in 2009.

He has so far won four races with McLaren, and had been in talks about extending his deal for a while now, with both the McLaren and the driver having made it clear that he was to stay on.

On Wednesday, McLaren officially confirmed the news, saying Button has signed a new multi-year deal.

Off to Ferrari

Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport is reporting that Ferrari management is not pleased with recent Smedley outbreaks on team radio.

Nah, not a chance while 'Nando is there...

I'd take a punt on Lewis to Red Bull in 2013, Di Resta to McLaren, Webber to Force India.

I think Ferrari need to go to f1.com and take a look at the edits.
Second to Vettel is Smedley and he is F-ing and Jeffing all over the place.

what will happen in 2013 is this:

Perez Ferrari
DiResta Mercedes
Hamilton Red Bull
