That was just a pathetically sad lap by HRT. At least it is out on track but it sounded terrible and was in the way of everyone. lol

HOLY SHIT THAT BULL IS FAST

HRT MADE IT AROUND THE TRACK.
At around 200 miles a century.

nyway, the RBR killing everyone as predicted. Well, aside from Hamilton, who manages to be 2 tenths slower. Massa patches up his car up because his camera fell off.

Oh, as I said that, Vettel just smashed the time sheets, 1 second faster than anyone.

Fucking Vettel, how does he work?

Remains to be seen how well his style of driving suits the new tyres. As a Webber fan, I'm hoping "not well".

hrt 17s off the pace :lol

get this shit team out of f1 - now!
Yeah, they are a complete joke.

Anyway, RBR kicking all sorts of arse here, the McLaren next up, then Petrov? Alonso 6th then Kobayashi? Ok, where are the Mercs? 8th and 10? and Massa is 12th? Oh dear.

If this is repeated this afternoon (It wont, well, RBR will kick all sorts of arse) then Ferrari will be left wondering WTF is going on.

Well, congrats to vettel for another WDC. What's hilarious though is the surprise by Mclaren. I guess Martin Whitmarsh knows what he's talking about when he mentioned the upgrades would bring 1 second, if not more.

HRT are the legacy of an awful FIA president, they would not be missed should they no longer compete in F1.
I would miss HRT a lot. They're one of my favorite teams this season.

I am pumped for SPEED to have every p1 and p3 of the season online. This live stream is great.
That's very nice of them, what's the quality like?

Anyway, I just looked at the FP3 times from 2010 and it makes for interesting reading. Comparing the top 4 teams' times from this year to last, Vettel is faster (And faster than the best FP3 time of last year by .2s), Button is faster, the rest, all slower.

So RBR and McLaren seem to be able to match their 2010 pace already, no mean feat considering the removal of double diffusers and F-Ducts (McLaren) but Ferrari and Mercedes especially haven't got near their 2010 pace, yet.

Red bull....wtf?! I guess we should be used to it by now since we saw it so many times last year. Let's hope the race pace is not as good

I fear that both HRT cars will fall fowl of the 107% rule because they don't have any setup data for their car.

Qualifying is going to be a disaster for them even if both cars prove to be reliable.

:(

The weather may be slightly crappy here in Melbourne but bloody hell I love F1.

The Reb Bulls are making a mockery of everybody (pretty good for a soft-drink company :p ), McLaren are much better than expected, Ferrari haven't shown much in the way of pace yet but I expect much more in quals. I'm hoping Merc show some good quali pace (Michael looks very busy in the cockpit w/ lots of oversteer), and both Renault and Sauber look great.

I don't think HRT will make the 107% rule. In fact, I don't think Vigin will either. I'd nearly put money on it. Virgin were on the cusp before Vettel decided to go eight tenths faster than everybody, so it doesn't bode well at all.

It's time :D
Indeed it is.

So, questions for Q1:

1: who, other than the obvious 3 teams, Lotus, Virgin and HRT will leave in Q1?

2: Will the HRT even leave the garage?

3: Will we see any proper pace yet?

I reckon we'll see a Force India eliminated, the HRT set one lap or so then explode, and 1:25s or so until Q2.

I don't have access to cable with F1 this year, would anyone be so kind to PM me a link to a stream?

Thanks guys.

Ferrari looks like its just nowhere near fast enough.
Hamilton is the only one close to the RBR so far.

HRT not racing tomorrow then? Liuzzi commited career suicide going with them.

Martin Brundle was not so subtle in commentary asking why on earth did Luizzi join this joke of a team.

HRT are even slower than they were last year. I guess they will no sympathy from the other teams to be allowed to race.
If this keeps up, I don't see them being around for more than 3-4 races.

Well, officially the teams have all agreed to let everyone race tomorrow, but the HRTs are so bad I wonder if they'll let them race.

Anyway, Massa almost left in Q1 and Alonso needed to burn a set of softs to compete? Oh dear Ferrari, what's going on?

So, who seen BMW Sauber and the Renault of Petrov being this fast? No, me neither. Q2 will be interesting indeed. The only constant is RBR, they are epic.

I'd *love* to see Kobayashi get a 2nd-3rd row quali, which looks entirely possible. Most entertaining driver out there.

Really happy how Sauber performs. Really hope they can position themself as 4th ord 5th in CC.

Also, Perez seems to be a very able driver so there won't be too much talk how i was "bought" into the team
Well he was, but he's doesn't seem to be a burden for the team
