Not the best of races, but compared to previous years at Barcelona it wasn't bad.

I demand crashes at Monaco. We have had sod all this year. Preferably with Vettel.

My memory might be failing me but we haven't had a safety car this year right? Kind of impressive when you think about it. Can't say I wish for crashes but it's hard to imagine that you won't get one at Monaco.

edit: Oh my, a lot of drivers under investigation for not slowing down under yellow flags.

FFS. Here we go with some retarded FIA bollocks.

I'm all behind a teams breakaway, I'm getting bored with the "Fucking Idiots Association" now. Todt still wants to go through with the 2013 engine regs too.

You‘re right, no safety car yet.

Button, Hammy and Webber & Glock. Ooooooooo boy.....
Nothing would change even if they give them time penalites. Button, Hamilton and Webber were in the same lap, Alonso was already 1 lap behind.

Great start from Fernando, just a shame he didn't have the car to challenge for the win. Stefano is clinging onto his job.

Anyway the post-race FIA investigations for going too fast under yellow flags are perfectly reasonable, the drivers know the rules and they know how to manage their lap times.

It depends how harsh the penalties are.
I think they would have to give them retroactive drive-throughs, which is basically a 25 second penalty? I think that's the precedant for these post-race investigations.

I think it is 20 seconds.

Retune your TV maybe? Especially if the analogue signal was switched off in your area recently.

Yeah I'll try that now.

Is your set top box connected to your phoneline?

It's a built-in freeview box into my Samsung TV.

EDIT:

It works now, retuned the TV now :)

Hm, Kovalainen crashed several seconds after he was passed by Vettel and Hamilton, if i recall correctly. And that lap was Hamilton's fastest lap - so he is under investigation, because he was still in that sector, but crash happend behind his back?

Di Montezemolo should give Massa and Domenicali the boot.

LDM part of the problem rather than solution. This Ferrari team, apart from Alonso, is not in the same class as the Schumacher era with Todt, Bryne, Brawn etc.

nah he crashed right in front of them right? they had an onboard cam replay from Vettel which showed all the sand/dust getting kicked up on the left side of the screen when he approached that turn

yeah the "italofication" of the team quite shot them in the foot

Not saying he's the solution, but he is in the position to do it.

I thought that it was Lotus that gave way to them after second corner.... and then bam, Kovalainen in barriers.

Right call.

It seems that Ferrari put all stakes on yesterday Alonso lap and car was heavy on qualifying set up. It went fine on fresh tyre and with heavy fuel tank, but all fell apart after the first stint.
Mclaren compromised yesterday for race pace, RBR was somewhere between. They still have the most DF of all cars.

Britney just said that he lost his DRS during first stage of the race.

HRT will protest if EBD cars are still legal in Monaco.
Well, other teams should protest that HRTs are not competitive enough to race at all.

Kolles seemed bitter when the BBC interviewed him on the F1 forum.

Did they say this after the race?
Yup, Koller said that to the press

They should look for their own car, which is total piece of shit and their drivers are not obeying blue flags at all.

Anybody saying the tyres are rubbish are crazy. Pirelli managed to make Spain interesting. All the strategies and overtaking due to the tyres was great. DRS was pretty much a non factor. 3-4 pit stops per race is perfect IMO.

Monaco with super softs and softs should be great. Monaco is always great though.

Horner said that they throw a bait for Ferrari and they grab it with both hands. Probably he means that pit stop when only Alonso entered the pits.

Method how to silence HRT once and for all - RBR one fast lap on softs in Q1, all problems solved :D

Great race craft from Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso (his first two stints anyways). Hamilton and Vettel were punishing their machines and both driving incredible well. We could see some great battles between Hamilton and Vettel if McLaren could manage to find a few more tenths.

Hamilton hinted that they are bringing some new upgrades for Monaco. Probably track specific (and maybe for future use on Hungaroring)

Just like they did in 2010s last race. It's hard to believe how stupid a team can be.

I really get the feeling that their (Redbull) DRS 'situation' is a bit of a curve ball too for some reason, especially when I look at the moments they announce certain things on the radio relating to it. Anyway Ferrari to me really seem to be grasping at straws particularly in the last couple races, basking in short lived glory. Plus like Eddie said unless they know something we don't and have signed some major genius behind the scenes that will take the team places guaranteed then Alonso being signed until 2016 is another big wtf. On another note I hope Monaco goes well but I get a bad feeling bad things are gonna happen on that circuit.

Well thats about as good as the Spanish GP gets. The stupid chicane at the end ruins the track. Great race by Vettel and Hamilton. I hope they make the hard tires a little quicker.

Monaco is not a high downforce track and should suit Ferrari, the F150 has good mechanical grip so a podium is realistic. I believe more updates are being brought to Canada such as a front wing but the others teams will be developing as well.

Signing Alonso for another 5 years might seem excessive but he is a good driver to build a team around, Ferrari had a lot of success building their team and chassis' around Schumacher and he had all the attributes to be a lead driver as does Alonso.

I'd think so too. The Ferrari was pretty good today around the slow tight corners and it is under DRS when then RB really shines in quali which doesn't come that much into play in Monaco.

Alonso is quite good around Monaco as well, he would have challenged for pole last year if he didn't crash in FP3. I'm more optimistic than I was this weekend.

Monaco will be different story, Renault should be strong there, Mclaren is always good there, Ferrari also....
Monaco is tricky due to unpredictable race conditions - safety car is real thread in every lap.

Damn, despite my boy coming second, especially to Vettel, this was still a fun race to watch. Webber cocking up the start, Alonso beasting everyone ahead of him, Massa embarrasing himself, Heidfelds uphill battle, and both Saubers in points. Good race.

I feel for Massa something has probably gotten into his head space or something recently because he was on such an uplift then all through practice up to the race he has just suffered.
