I am genuinely intrigued, but I don't think it'll become a good film. It might have a more consistent tone and more slow-motion, but that's about it. I'm intrigued to see it in the same way I would watch a building on fire that I couldn't peel my eyes away from. I didn't much care for Man of Steel and thought Batman v Superman was laughably bad.

Same.

I'm happy it exists for those that wanted it, but it isn't suddenly going to not be shite.

This is a weird thing to me

like yeah the Snyder cut of BvS was a better movie than the original, but that still didn't make it a good movie. and the theatrical cut of Justice League was even worse than BvS.

to each their own I guess

I didn’t think bvs was bad, just not great. And I didn’t think justice league was bad, just corny and not very good.

I don’t think a directors cut is going to change my opinion very much tho. I mean, it just wasn’t very good, people exaggerate that it was the worst movie ever which is absurd, but it’s clear that the general reception is negative and there’s no reason to keep beating this dead horse. People didn’t dig it, move on and do something else or reboot the whole thing.

why are we getting a 4 hour cut of this and nothing from lord of the rings?

I think they just have so much footage and are looking for any way to capitalize and churn out any content during the pandemic

The theatrical cut was full of reshoots and story restructuring... Like Cyborg's dad surviving and Cyborg himself being pretty much a plot device. The fault for THAT lies at the hands of Whedon and WB execs.

ZS said Cyborg is the heart of the movie and has a substantial role. That alone makes this a whole new movie.

For sure it'll be controversial and have mixed reactions (It's Snyder's take on the DCU afterall) but I'm still very interested in seeing it.

Are they dumping all 4 episodes at once or is it a weekly thing? Personally I'd rather watch it all in one sitting as a single giant movie.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
I’ll watch it. I watched the first one during a work trip to New York and I kinda fell asleep. I have a glimmer of hope for this reshoot.

4 hours lol.

either it's gonna be one of the best movies of all time or it's gonna suck ass. i know what i'd bet on.

he fucked the original up. he's a shit director. i'm not seeing why everyone is gushing over this.

Glad for Snyder’s sake that he got to make this. Seems like it was something he was really passionate about and he had to leave the project under such tragic circumstances. So it’s nice he gets to finish what he started.

I wouldn’t say I’m looking forward to it as such. But I am fascinated by it.The money put into finishing this version was way more than I expected, or makes sense to me. I’m also interested to see just how different it is.

Joss Whedon effed the original up. He did HECKA reshoots and restructured the story. It won't be the same film.
I look forward to the complaints online when scenes that people think are Whedon are still in the movie because they were shot by Snyder.

Thw rooftop scene with Flash tripping and being jokey was a Snyder scene. The media set visits were on the day they were filming that, but the Internet blames Whedon for the scene.

I look forward to people praising the Whedon cut because the Snyder cut is so bad. You know it's gonna happen like how people talk about the Star Wars prequels now because the sequel trilogy was so bad.

I didn't like Justice League very much, genuinely hope it's better. I feel like there is only so much they can do, but it will be nice to see the director's intended vision.

I was going to mention the four hour runtime until I realised it was condensed in to four episodes. I'm glad, that sounds much better and manageable.

I just hope that this closes this universe in a satisfying way since we won't be seeing more of Snyder's DC version.

Joss Whedon who actually made great tv shows and movies

Why would Zack Snyder be able to make a better picture, all his movies are total ass.

If this doesn’t raise it from bad to at minimum, “good” all these years of bitching for Snyder cuts will have been a waste.

If raising $500,000 million for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention because of this movement is bitching then yeah what a waste...

JL's main problem is that its a smash cut of Snyders original and Whedons many reshoots (mainly done to appease Warner executives who wanted a movie pretty much identical to the Avengers). It has nothing resembling an consistent tone as a result which this (hopefully) will fix.
