Well, that was a snooze-fest of an awards show. not a single game looked remotely interesting to me.
What turned me off personally was the overall presentation of games now, and I don't mean because of the special circumstances of this year. But every game that is debuted or previewed now mostly seems to focus on flashy, empty CGI trailers with awful licensed music. Doesn't at all make me excited or interested in them.
I'm mainly glad Hades won one award (just one ), as that was really the only game out of this years stack that I'd been truly happy with.
But wow, none of the "World Premiers" were at all noteworthy. No Elden Ring or Silent Hill as rumored (not that I put stock in rumors). And EA previews were short worthless trailers. "Mass Effect will return!" sorry, not excited after what happened to it.
And I am a bit displeased at how Among Us gets an award even though it released back in 2018
