Holy shit. What the fuck was that at the end of that TNT? I've seen some bad FMV (mostly through watching GB stuff) but that has to take the cake. Wow. Also, Jeff's facial expressions were hilarious.

fuck

what were they all laughing about when the video cut off!? Now we'll never know

Just watched the latest jar time. Jeff is wrong about the Devil May Cry franchise isn't he?

As far as i know, all the entries sold well and were well received (except for 2). Capcom wanted to get another game out there, but all the people who'd have to do it were already busy with Dragon's Dogma, so they had Ninja Theory do their thing.

He also had one where he talked about how the economy was improving and we should get new consoles. Now he's talking about how it's not, and we shouldn't.

He is, but I don't expect him to be an expert on every game series. As I said in the comments, I doubt Jeff would be excited if WB announced that Yuke's was the new Mortal Kombat developer because they wanted MK to sell 5 million plus instead of just 3 million.

so whats the deal with EU delivery from the store?

nothing on there website about it one way or another.

Also I hope they reprint the luchadeer shirt at some

He's right on the fact that just making DMC5 would be pointless, that series already had its natural evolution and it was made by a different studio (Bayonetta). So it was always going to change, and in that sense DmC has done nothing wrong.

What he's certainly wrong about is that people like Ninja Theory. Well, they have their fans, but the key elements of DMC that you can't replace are things that NT are incapable of doing, and for that they are unliked. So, you know, different DMC > DMC5, but all that kind of goes out of the window when we're looking at the wrong developer making a not-very-good looking game.

As for sales, Capcom set their expectations higher than the series has ever managed to achieve. (Read: DMC4 sold shitloads in Japan, despite releasing same week as Brawl, but didn't sell similarly well overseas)

Dang it... I would so jump on that, but since the shipping is going to take some time, I should probably wait. I'm moving apartments, and it's just not convenient. : (

I hope they have some left when I finally get moved, though. I've been wanting some "just the logo" something from them for a while.

Yeah, it's lagging for me as well. They must be doing something behind the scenes or there's a lot of traffic at the moment.

Or Drew took off his hoodie and the controls aren't sliding easily anymore. PUT IT BACK ON, DREW! QUICK!

I know this isn't the right place to do this, but since the oficial thread is probably closed, I'll do it right here. I've just finished watching the Persona 4 endurance run and man, I truly enjoyed it. I've always been a fan of the content GB puts, but I've never had time to watch this. And it was so much fun.

It is the best ER ever.

"Told you I could not say a word for a year!"

Hoodie is SO mine. I've been waiting for a simple Giant Bomb logo like that for so long.

My $15 discount code only covered the postage to the UK for it, haha. Still worth £20 though!

I don't agree with this at all. Bayonetta plays very differently from DMC, i wouldn't call it a natural evolution. Bayonetta feels more like a mix of DMC and Viewtiful Joe to me.

I also don't see how DMC5 is pointless, it's not like they made the exact same game 4 times. In DMC3 they introduced styles, in 4 it was Nero's weapons and arm. People make it sound as if Bayonetta suddenly killed off every other idea in the world for this genre when it was released.

If they had unreasonably high expectations for the sales, then it can't be helped i guess.

In any case, choosing Ninja Theory as the developer is the worst thing ever.

Throwing my hands up here, only played about an hour or so of Bayonetta, but it sure felt like (a better) DMC to me. Guess I'm wrong.

But, regardless of that, you think the remaining staff at Capcom wouldn't have just farted out a game that was pretty much DMC4 all over again? Because they would have. And the changes in 4... yeah, new character, great, doesn't mean the game is suddenly radically different, you're still playing in a similar fashion. DMC5 would have introduced similarly inconsequential additions. It ran its course. Not saying it's 'pointless', necessarily- people who love DMC would still like it, and the core game is still tight enough to be very enjoyable- but ideally, you strive for real positive change with sequels. This is the same company that made RE4, they more than anyone have demonstrated how brilliant sequel design can be.

And the sales expectations CAN be helped. Capcom only needed to spend 5 minutes to figure out 'hey, this probably won't translate into as great success overseas'. But they didn't, they thought too highly of the product and inaccurately of the Western market's general interest in brawlers, and in the process decided to radically change a series for the hell of it. Not for creative purposes, just because it didn't sell enough, based on their own flawed expectations.

So I'm watching the Wing Commander III random PC game and I'm wondering why Vinny is so grossed out by Rachel, the tech chief. Did a search for Ginger Allen and then it became more obvious.

She's 80s hardcore porn star Ginger Lynn Allen. That Space Herpes joke they tossed off is more relevant than I first thought. She was real worn out by that time.

They explained in the video that she was a porn star and thats why they had been making so many jokes.

It's one of my favourite runs, I wish that PersonaAnimexGiantBomb guy didn't get blasted off YouTube by the full weight of Sony's retarded lawyers

Hey Brad, I know you read this thread. What are your go to vegan recipes? It's only but because my other half has turned into a vegan and the vegan cookbook seems to be awful. Thanks. Great show.

Oh my fucking God, Jeff's reaction to 'Plumbers Don't Wear Ties' during the 3DO TNT. The look of pure bewilderment and disgust on his face so perfect.

The only thing that could have made the Plumbers Don't Wear Ties bit better was some Vinny jokes. They really need to mic him up for TNT or something. Get a second tv for Video Vinny. Train patrick to run the control room.

Also stuff like that makes me want Jeff or Ryan to do a old console game feature. Load our last save seems to be a xbox1 exclusive thing for some reason but I want older stuff.

There are so many dumb games and consoles from the 90's that they could really have some fun with.
