The PS3 is really the only console that's piracy proof, and that's only because no one wants to download a 25 GB behemoth of a game and/or buy a $800 blu ray burner.

The fucked up part of that is that 20GB PS3 owners can only fit 4 legit Capcom games on their system.

LOL, I'd be pissed after dropping $500 though.

But yeah, when I buy a PS3 that bitch is getting upgraded day one. My neighbor's already filled his 40GB, and he's only had it for a month.

EDIT: to tell you the truth, I'm not certain he'd be able to upgrade the HDD...I had to configure his output settings, get him online, and even set up his router.

I decided I wasn't going to buy this game, but the multiplayer modes (especially free-mode) sounds fantastic. I watched the OXM insider video and.... kart racing in subway tunnels? Yeah, so I'm definitely getting this. Now all I need to do is buy a new headset for Live. Can anyone recommend me one? Or should I just stick with the official wired/wireless brand?

Either way, see a few of you online. I only have a sparse amount of gaffers on my list so add me if you wish.

Any cell phone will do, however I would buy one with a built in mute/volume switch. I also used a bluetooth mic (using a dongle) however this made my controller a bit on the bulky side.

As for that gif, yeah, that 360 is either going to die or what have you, I've never seen anything that bad.

and that's fine with me as well... GTA is the only title will I'll always listening to the in-game music ....its essentially to the whole experience

and when you hear the same song for the 100th time? Good thing the in game commercials are fun (they too get old though)

If that's all it takes, it would be done by now. PS3 just has a much more robust security/DRM protocol than Wii or 360.

Also, the PS3 can run Linux. So...the only thing people are waiting for is the ability to run better programs on Linux.

The PS3 offers no challenge. It's funny because its counterpart (the PSP) is probably the most hacked system ever created.

Oh I saw that was on there. Is there footage there?

Theres a few gameplay segments and stills. One scene showed a street race and the other showed a shootout followed by a gang fight.

Thanks. I'll try out some of mics I have buried away.

Launch Premium X360 - $400

120GB Hard Drive Xbox 360 Hard Drive - $180

Being able to boast that the X360 has the exclusive GTAIV DLC - Priceless

For some, this isn't necessarily winning.

And what did they say about the price of the DLC? $30 a pop was it? Or hasn't that been confirmed yet?

LOL, say what? Feel free to quote me the day I say the cost of the 360 HDD is anything but fucking absurd.

Hell, I bought both my 360s at $300. I couldn't justify buying it at anything above that price, and I waited until I could find a deal both times to pick them up.

I'll do the same thing with the PS3. When it gets to a reasonable price, I'll pick one up.

So does the PS3 version support custom soundtracks at all?

And is there a talk radio station in GTA4?

No and Yes. Sorry for being unclear in my original response as I typed it and added stuff, and took out stuff.

No CS for both.
Only 360 supports CS in the manner it has in other 360 games. It is still unknown whether this music will be paused during cutscenes.

I have one, but I'm not about to pirate games with it. I don't think they're $800 dollars anymore either. I just don't the point.

The majority of the people touting the exclusive DLC (Which nobody even knows about) on the 360 platform will probably not even buy it. Prove me wrong.

If it's some new geography people will buy. If it's new missions forget it.

Oh...it will sell. Of that I have no doubt.

Looks at craptastic Guitar Hero "packs"...

Somebody who spent $800 on a bluray burner wouldn't get the point.

Considering there are like 3 people in the world who have a mic for the PS3 then of course you will mute more on the 360. I don't like playing on the PSN at all it is like playing single player since no one has a mic. I don't even bother syncing up my mic any more since the odds of finding others with a mic are remote. I really wish sony would include some 50 cent mic so there would be more chat online.

Objection! I have one, Tonx, Wasabiking, Bookey, Bob the Fork, and more have one. Your info is incorrect.

I have one and I am going to get the one with SOCOM. And no, I am not compensating for something...

Please.. I'm buying EVEN if it's just new missions.

I don't see how anyone can doubt the likelihood that people will purchase the 360 GTA4's DLC when there are so many people have purchased shitty DLC addons for shitty games this gen.

Why wouldn't people make purchases on DLC for what will be one of the best games this generation?

You guys really don't understand how big a deal new missions will for this game. It's not like the older games its so much better and so many more possibilities. New missions to this game is nothing short of a megaton.

At least that's how I view it.

If it is new content that could be used when you just cruise and roam around the city, I think most people would and should buy it. I am talking about DLC that Crackdown had.

I am someone who completes my GTA games, but I honestly never replayed them. Even after buying most of the GTA games again on PC, I never played the missions again. If it is just missions, I think it won't be something I would even buy.

Only the hardcore, people who research their games to the max cares about DLC. The joe-schmo who only plays Madden and GTA will buy it for whichever system they have. If they see a PS3 GTA4 bundle for 399, they would spring for that.

Yep.

I wouldn't buy Burnout Paradise DLC if it was just new races. But a new (small) city? Definitely.

GTA is no different. The Crackdown DLC was kinda shitty. Harpoon gun was fun for 5 mins and the racing mode was really, really terrible so much that you had to cheat to win just to get your achievement points, lol.

I have some friend who I wouldent exactly call hardcore and maybe even casual and they are all about Rock Band DLC. That could be a different scenario, but whatever.

Key to the city was way awesome. Granted that was free, it still was sooo awesome.

I can't believe this thread is this large without an official release yet.

Oh wait.

YES I CAN.

The reviews are the percolator.

The official thread is the delicious, delicious coffee that drips in until you can take a refreshing drink.

This thread is the nasty coffee filter that accidentally tore on the way to the trash can.

Ahhhhhh yeah.

well thats one thing thats good

Now I have:

DLC = Waiting on M$ and R* to tell us something
E Penis = (still thinking about it)
Multi player Gimpness = no ( I hope)
