Im actually working on the base mode of that RG lol. The legs, waist and Core Fighter are all finished with the upper body about 50% complete.

I finied the upper body of Mega Shiki as well. I have plans to finish 5 kits on this sunday as I now have five in various states of build status.

I want to concentrate on the Rouge your sending and really give it the best I can lol.

Ordering a brand new sanding spunge and new head for the knife to get some super clear finish.

Yeah. 3 of the 5 are HGs as Im low on funds, but my SO loooves Crossbones lol.

ah i just packed it that night and left it w/ the doorman and usps picked it up =) (i have alot of experience from selling my macross toys haha) wanted to make sure the tracking i pm'd you works, so you know when to expect the package. (so annoying the get that note from the mailman to pick up the package at the post office bc they missed you) it's says tuesday so hopefully it's accurate.

Cagalli, yeah, that reminds me her suit is pink but when kira asks to borrow it phase shifts back to x105 colors. i'm curious what if athrun took freedom, would it be maroon/red/pink...

Honestly I have no idea.

But when you think about it, its really like a energy based armor and they are all grey so really any suit could be any color.

Strike Freedom in Heine colors.....hmm that made me like Destiny.

Dude there is not a fucking thing wrong with the original Macross series. I actually think it does certain things better than Gundam does. There's a very good human element to the original series that you might actually like since the characters do a very good amount of growing through the series. It's still animated pretty well too and also has a good science element to it since they're still trying to figure out how to properly use the SDF 1 well into the half point of the show as well as developing tactics. Here's the OP...well a cgi recreation of the intro, the theme is badass though and it's a much better show than Seed is. I'd recommend Super Dimensional Fortress Macross over Seed any day of the week, month and year.

The woman they got to sing the Minmay songs in Robotech was a mistake. I honestly think the Macross series handles women and romance better than Gundam from what I've seen. The women aren't psychopathic as fuck just because reasons in Macross.

these yamato's are pre-built. Macross has models, but these are the best engineered toys. pretty much the pinnacle, these (yamato) now arcadia 1/60 scale toys (and bandai dx frontier and the upcoming delta) are the most sought after.

Thank you for reminding me why the Zentradi screamed in horror when they first heard her music. Macross holds up pretty well actually, though you're still going to wish Kaifun died in a fire or got sucked into space during a transformation sequence.

i grew watching robotech so i'm not too offended but it does sound horrible compared to Mari

Miriya's unicorn/grail status fetching 500+.at the moment... Max and Miria print was extremely low and never got a re-print. Everyone's expecting Arcadia to re-print them but it may be in a year or 5 yrs. keep an eye out.
i definitely recommend getting at least one 1/60 arcadia/yamato (v.2) valk. or one from the Bandai Dx lineup. btw, Isamu made a cameo in Frontier so bandai made a dx vf-19 advance Isamu (but it's 27000 yen at the moment)

Arcadia at the moment is re-release a grail valk due in February, the VF-4G lightening as seen in

this video Macross Flashback 2012:

due to licencing issues they can only sell a repaint that appeared in a videogame called vf-x digital mission (Macross licencing is really strict)
i may sell a few valks soon, so i'll keep you in the loop if it do.

It might be worth mentioning that Arcadia's Macross releases have been completely redone from the ones they released as Yamato. Their new YF-19 has better proportions than the previous one, their new VF-0S has better coloring than their previous one, and both have a lot more metal parts so they don't flex as much.

I'm hoping they'll get around to redoing the Destroids at some point.

I watched the last ten minutes or so of the first episode of the new series on YouTube and it was flashy but I was twitching -- literally twitching -- at the women performing pop songs on floating platforms with guitars as the one girl got all starstruck and probably talked about wanting to be an idol or something... all during an alien attack, or whatever.

But if the original handles that stuff in a less "this is an idol show" kind of way I'll probably be cool with it.

Yea, Max is the ace pilot of sdf-1 macross=) i love their colors.

just to clarify,

Arcadia's plans: to release one new sculpt ever year while peppering yamato re-releases around the year. (not everything will be redone but will be either a totally new mold never done before or they can decide to go back a revisit a mold mixed with re-releases of existing molds)

The new sculpts and re-releases so far have been a continuation of yamato's secret R&D plans before they folded: some guys in Macross World that live in Japan had relationship w/ yamato so they were able to see secret stuff:

Arcadia re-releases have been few and far in between... it seems like they downsized/slowed plans due to budget the past year. Since they're a small company compared to bandai, they've only been green lighted on molds and re-releases that can be deemed big sellers by their board.

i know right? i wish they do the destroids again but on twitter, the head of R&D for Macross Arcadia toys, said most likely they won't release destroids again due to low profitability.

Bandai is trying to cash in for the demand for destroids and enemy mecha by releasing
their smaller scale hi-metal R line, if it is successful, we'll probably have a chance w/ this lineup to complete the destroids,

sdf-1 macross tv series is definitely more grounded. definitely recommend the original to you and all who want to give the series a shot.

I didn't care for Legilis or the FX but I do love 3 Normal, plus I was sad as I liked Age 2 Special Forces more then Dark Hound.

Legilis looks much better in the all red color scheme it has in Memories at least.

I went into my local hobby shop today. It was the first time that I've been when their Gunpla stock was full. Normally they are out of stock as the local Gunpla club tends to buy up most of their stock as soon as they get it. I had to force myself from buying a bunch of kits. I want to finish the kits I have before deciding if I want to get more MGs or stick to the 1/144 scale kits. After I finish my MG RX-78-2 I think I'll pick up a RG kit to see how that is.

yeah right? i got the RG sword pack/sky grasper for x105, i don't know how many decals but was a freakin nascar package! once it was done, i saw the 75% decals still on the sheet... the rest were for the weapons and said screw that, all the weapons are still on the runners packed in the box. lol... i did the same for x105 and destiny, build the packs and one weapon. but by the time i finished decaling the suit i was too burnt out to do anymore. just wanted to enjoy the suit and never went back to the packs.

from my experience RG are really detailed and look really great panel lined. but the decals are microscopic and a killer. but i have some friends that got my into gunpla who love it.

Well guys, i'm out getting dinner. while waiting on some japanese food, i'm browsing in the Japanese book store right next door.

pretty neat they have gundam origin manga's and gundam mags

the store next door has a few kits

Wooh back from 3 days of partying and drinking. Back to working on kits

I'd love to see the end result of trying to build a kit while drunk. I warn everybody in this thread to never watch Naruto....it'll make your blood boil. Even EvilKatarn would probably prefer watching Victory Gundam over Naruto.
