What does Yandere mean again? If more aggressive I'd like to see that Hinata. Given younger years I'm going to assume it pre Chunin exams cause I can't see Hinata after that putting up with Sakura's shit.

Best Yuri Manga Ive ever read was Yandere and I just recently found how much I love the genre.
She's much more aggressive.
In the movie she flat tells Sakura to stay away from her man or else.
I love aggressive adult Hinata.

Ok, that sounds like a fun version of Hinata. Hopefully I even hit the portions of the anime where I hit the part of the story where she gets a proper back bone...this show is killing me. How many Yandere women are in Gundam? I can only think of Flay at this point.

I've seen probably 200 eps of the first series and at least over 100 eps of the sequel series. Once you hit a certain part in the second series you can notice a quality drop. First series isn't too bad, sequel series asks you to just accept several instances of straight up logical inconsistencies, failure to utilize females in a respectable fashion and bullshit romance arcs that make no sense at all once you sit down and try to logically type them out. I swear to god that this was me typing up something on Friday in the OT.

That frowning face is why I dropped that warning in here, not even Kou was Naruto levels of dumb. 0083 has my favorite mobile armor designs. The Neu Ziel and that red thing with the crab claw piloted by that one armed dude are great.I've watched/read all of Naruto... ahahaha

i burn out after watch 2-3 episodes, i can't fathom going at the pace that's discussed on GAF. and on the side, people are playing gundam videosgames!
trust me, i am so burnt out from just doing 2 little steps, that i'm ready to veg out.
if the parts needed are not on the same runners or on more than 2, or if i see major decals needed for a part, i turn away and start watching some anime.
i can't believe how many kits you've been pumping out.

I'm hardcore when it comes to actually discussing the Gundam shows themselves, but I'm a softcore flaccid noob when it comes to gunpla. I'd love to try, but time and money and space make it hard.

for something that came out more than a decade ago this kit is amazing. Everything feels solid and with 6 layers of top coat all the parts feel like they aren't ever going to come off. This kit comes with tons of hands to be swapped off, two yellow beam sabers, and 10 missile pods that can be extended out. I am going to put this on a white action base because it is gorgeous in person. Gives off a mean clown look

lol, I know what it is, but I'm still disappointed with the design. That head looks awful. Should have lowered to the chest and revealed a human proportioned mecha face instead, like Gaogaigar.
Oh I understand, but it became a little too dominating here. Kinda wish the model kit thread was used more for general mecha model kits is all. The place could use the extra activity.

I think sometimes we just want to talk about non gundam stuff without having to switch to a completely different thread. Even the general mecha thread was started by a gundamgaf regular, with probably almost the same exact people on there, but oddly that's one dead thread.

K, with my gf out for the upcoming weekend, I'd like to finish up at least one kit in my stupid backlog. Here are the following:
Hi-Nu Vrabe w/ Lev A parts - head and chest complete, wanting to paint it "Amazing Red"
All the MG kits in the back (X1, Zeta Plus C1, MG Zeta 2.0), Kampfer Amazing. Already completed Dark Matter.
Then there's an HG Gundam Revive with Weapon Set A.

Last thing I saw was Aldnoah Zero and I joined in on the DYRL discussion. I'm waiting for the second season of AZ to hit Netflix. I know they discussed Cross Ang, but I don't have the time to subject myself to that, especially after Naruto, I can only inflict so much pain on myself within a week.

I only did the leg as a proof of concept, so to speak. That Freedom and the accompanying METEOR are very old and weren't taken care of well (it was my first kit) so I elected to leave it.

Yeah, that's definitely a thing that happened. It's something I can roll with in retrospect, and I think I was okay with it when I first watched the show more than most people are.
If you want to know why I'm ok with it, ask again when you finish the series. I won't say it fits perfectly, but I can buy it.
What are your feelings so far on the show? Imo the show's hit its stride at this point, so I'm interested in your opinion (looking at the episode list, my favorite ones are coming up soon if you haven't already watched them).
Gundam SEED #26-36 Thoughts
It's hard to know where to start with a chunk this big. A lot happened in a few of these episodes. Obviously the big heavy hitter here is Alaska; terrific twist with the Federation brass using Spitbreak to their advantage. That Cyclops system is insane. Between Alaska and Panama, the whole world seems to have spiraled out of control. I kind of wish this happened a bit sooner -- some of the episodes leading up to the battles could have definitely been trimmed down from all the old footage overload -- but whatever. This made up for it.
There was a lot of "haha, yeah right" from Cooper and I when Athrun insisted he was bringing Kira down for Nichol's death. (Speaking of which... damn, poor green-haired sheep boy. I liked him.) It was rather silly that Athrun kept saying Kira murdered Nichol, all things considered, but this is Gundam SEED and I've learned to stop worrying and love the bomb. Whatever. It worked.
Kira surviving seems really farfetched, though. Like, how? He collapsed unconscious next to Ancient Brock-sama or whatever, but how he did he survive that blast? I guess he... jumped. It just... well, y'all know, I'm sure. The way it's animated makes it look deceptively impossible. I'll give the writers this, though: for a few seconds I started believing he was gone. Poor Tall, though. I had a feeling. D:
Le Crouset, you stole Flay. But that's OK, because there's a new Flay. Miriellia (or whatev) is Flay II: The Return of Flay. So, enjoy the Flay, Le Crouset.

Lacus! I like her now! Although... I doubt she's human. She handled the five dead guys in the theater like a pro. So, I like you Lacus, but you're an alien.
I'm worried about Mu. Cagalli said she would pilot the new Strike, but he took the reins instead. Between that and the Mu kiss, I'm... I'm worried, okay?

Kira surviving a fucking nuke going off in his face is "The Great Snake Escape" levels of fucking stupid if you know anything about Naruto, it makes no motherfucking sense and even Naruto put an explanation to the level of mental fuckery that had to happen. With Seed the question is never answered. Maybe he died and Lacus' stalker ass cloned him from some blood that they found in the Strikes cockpit? Maybe he teleported? Maybe he was ejected out of his seat during the explosion (fat fucking chance) you never know, you never fucking know. Miriellia never hits Flays levels of crazy to be honest with you. Mu's fine, don't worry about Mu.

There's some explanation in the side material, but it's... not very good. Apparently, the Strike has a hidden compartment beneath the cockpit that can protect the pilot in case of emergency. From a massive, point-blank explosion.
Still, Kira surviving this explosion is more plausible than some of the other stuff Cosmic Era characters survive. At least here we don't see the Strike itself explode (Oh, I'm sorry, what we assume to be the body of the MS), so an argument could be made that Phase Shift helped by absorbing some of the blast.
