Work is nearly complete on Char's Counterattack, so we wanted to give you a quick sneak-peek at the difference you can expect to see in picture quality!
The first image is from the film's previous DVD release, the second is from the re-mastered film that is used on both the new DVD and Blu-ray. The difference in clarity and color is quite overwhelming and we think you'll be very pleased with the result!
*Please note that Facebook's compression degrades the images slightly, so the artifacts present in these images are not present in the final release.

The Flay in Cross Ange isn't that much different from the actual Flay. Why is the rider suit a giant fucking thong? At least wash the blood off the thing before you give it to someone. Ange can't even dress herself, this is just degrading. Why does this woman have an automail arm? I wonder if she has phantom limb syndrome. I feel like if I had never seen a mech anime in my life Valvrave would have been interesting. But since it decided to have 0 ingenuity in it and literally copy paste scene for scene from other already well known mech anime, I was pretty annoyed.

Now I want to watch it, I heard a few good things about it. The score isn't that bad in MAL, mecha shows usually score pretty lows.

The last ones that I've liked were Unicorn Gundam, Build Fighters, Macross Frontier and Code Geass. I still need to watch more of The Origin though. Even still I wouldn't exact put Code Geass on the level of either Unicorn or Frontier...oh yeah there was also Eureka 7, that was legit, but how recent is that really...in fact define recent. Can I put Rahxephon on that list...probably not...that even mecha? I like it more for Haruka and Ayato more than anything else.

It is extremely good, probably the best TV airing mecha in the past several years (note: not a hard accomplishment, but still). Can't really deny that Hiraiface was a thing, but it's not nearly so bad when not paired with early 2000's digital coloring.
The biggest downside to it is that it's a sequel to a 2004 show, 2005 prequel OVA, 2010 movie, all of which is absolutely required viewing, with the first half of the original show being quite a slog to get through.

Ep 4. So not Flay Allster pretty much had a three some and fucked two women to sleep that were her property anyway. Is the Freedoms laser rifle in this show? Ange is being a bad ass now, which probably won't last long cause she'll get raped next episode I bet.

Why are these chicken shit robots not water sealed? Not Kira Yamato pops up at the end of ep 4. Was Fukuda allowed to make this after Seed because Seed made Sunrise that much money? Please tell me either this or Seed Destiny is his last show.
What are you reading? Majestic Prince is an excellent series. It is a fun series with a fun, rather atypical cast. It also has some really good actions scenes later in. I would recommend it to any mecha fan who is familiar with the tropes of the genre.
Fafnir Exodus is amazing too, if dependent on familiarity with the previous series and movie.

Majestic Prince is pretty much a basic "mecha vs. alien invaders" plot. It doesn't really try to do anything new or innovative, but it just takes a tried-and-true formula and just executes it well. Characters are entertainingly quirky, and action scenes are really fun to watch (courtesy of Orange CGI). The plot is simple, and serves to carry the characters between slice-of-life shenanigan episodes and serious action episodes, never really relying on elaborate twists and turns to try and invest the viewer.
I didn't follow it when it was airing, but it was refreshing to watch something that didn't try to sell itself on shock value (Valvrave, Cross Ange, Aldnoah).
