Wing TV. Incidentally, Katoki apparently is the one who adapted it to MG form.
Exactly he adapted it heavily.

It has pretty large changes and it's proportions are radically different.

So I strongly disagree it's really Wing TV MG as its so radicqlly different and included in my original statement.

It's like saying Proto Zero is a TV design.

For Flow:
Thanks for posting this.
I keep getting them all confused every time. Wing is such a blur to me. >.>

Just finished packing all of my kits to move back to the dorms and I'm thinking I should probably slow down with my purchases. LOL

Also, anyone here got the Sinanju OVA? Is there a difference between that one and the Ver. KA?

Finished panel lining and coating. one of the few kits where I wasn't a fan of the decals.

Nice, just bought this today myself. It's on sale here in Japan on amazon for 2,300yen. Going to put it in our office at work. I let my co-workers help decide what random paint scheme we are going to try after I make it lol. I think the colors we ended up with were like light gunmetal, black, metallic green, and lavender on our order haha.

Definitely going to be interesting since we are kinda half assing this as an bored in the office project. Still 2 weeks to go til returning to normal work at schools @.@

I am interested to see what you thought about it while making it though.

Yeah, you got to be careful of those sharp eyebrows.
She was an expert fencer. She'd run him clean through. As an aside her eyebrows showed that she dyes her hair. I really do like her character design though. It mirrors relena in a lot of ways in my opinion.

That was kinda not good aside from some of the gunpla cameos and the last 30 seconds or so .

just saw it and that's how i felt as well. i also really like the final frame.

the gunpla stuff was pretty much a retread of the finale of GBF (they even say as much!) + beach episode.

Honestly the main frame is one of the of the most solid kits I have built just be careful cutting the pieces out of the frame because some of the blue stuff was hard for me to recognize at first.

Weapons were easy to put together but became full not to lose any ammo pierces that connect to the back tank and machine gun.

You will have some trouble getting the hand to hold the machine gun but once you do you will have no trouble keeping that pose without a stand.

I often see this kit modded and painted so I guess it is a good one to customize

yea I don't remember the tv series being so bad
Honestly it only gets worse as time passes as well.

The line art for the TV is just hideous and I can't understand why it's done the way it is. The proportions on things like Wing and Zero are the things that fuel nightmares.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Gundam/comments/4z6ct2/bamco_seems_to_consider_a_new_gen_of_gundam_vs/

Producer Ryuichiro Baba: We had an aim to provide different gameplays between Arcade and Console versions. The reason why PSVita's EXVS Force had a main focus on story was because we wanted to properly secure solo play to a new layer [of fans]. But on the other hand we couldn't live up to the expectations of the Gundam VS fans who have been about 2-on-2. We acknowledge that as a big improvement point.

Assistant Naoya Yasuda: The Arcade has a specific live sense of inviting friends. We're thinking of establishing a new gameplay that's specific to Console. Right now the hardware specs and infrastructure that can realize those have lined up, so we want to expand it not only in Japan but also to the World.

General Manager Yusuke Sasaki: If we considered the Arcade-based EXVS series as Gundam VS series' 4th generation, the next thing we should aim for is a 5th generation of Gundam VS that applies to Worldwide.

Naoya Yasuda: Actually speaking, that 5th generation of Gundam VS has already had the development progressing, with a new team that has Sasaki and myself in the center, as well as VSTG members who have developed EXVS until now. It still takes a bit more time until we can inform the details. In the 5th generation of Gundam VS, we want the title to be able to expand the invitation circle to worldwide where you can leisurely call new friends to "Let's do it together!"

have you guys read this yet?!?!?

Oh no sorry, I meant the original Wing TV MG. Okawara lineart legitimately adapted to MG cleanup.

That's not just the Okawara design cleaned up. It is pretty heavily modified is my point.

I mean I can get why people consider it a TV Mg but I do not because of such heavy changes.

Head, shoulders, shield and knees got changes that have nothing to do with the line art. It's why I said that we have never had a TV design faithful to the line art since the old 1/100 HG and the newer HG.

In fairness, there are almost zero Master Grades that are identical to the show line art. Most of them introduce liberties made possible with technological advances and "cool factor".

Semantics-wise, it's also specifically labeled as a Gundam Wing TV anime line product by Bandai. As far as I know the Endless Waltz designs like Proto Zero and Epyon MGs are listed on the Endless Waltz label.

This is true. Most do.

However I think there is a major difference in if you take MG Wing "TV" sit it next to the MG of any other show aside from 2.0's and it will be an extreme far cry from the norm in MG liberties.

You are right it is designated as MG Wing Gundam and in the Manuel specifically stated as the TV version. I just strongly contest it as that thing is nearly as heavily modified as Proto Zero.

I'm not familiar enough with MGs to contest that point of severity in changes. Looking through dalong's review, it corresponds with your assessment from what I see.

In regards to the labeling though, it's also a difference in marketing, I think. Proto Zero was to capitalize on the concurrent GoL manga and Wing TV was a bone thrown to the American market. The sensibilities taken are very atypical Bandai of Japan, but the impetus for releasing it is to cater to us. Despite that, they did the usual "clean up" work (which does look more severe?) resulting in stuff like the head looking quite a bit odd. Not necessarily bad but like you said, different.

Picked up my RG Sinanju today. Box is huuuuge. Wanted to get the Pandagguy too but it was sold out. Will have to try again later this week. >_<

Your largely right about it being a timing thing.

And my labeling of it not being a TV isn't a slight as I think the MG is a million times better.

I just find it odd to label it a full TV based Mg with such heavy mods. Then again I'm just weird about that shizz.

In fairness, I am being a total nerd pursuing this tiny point of contention when I could be doing something else more productive.

That said I'm thinking Katoki was essentially given free reign. As long as it looked like Wing TV to plebeian eyes like mine, his supervisors stamped it for approval.

Surprised nobody here has bought the mg thunderbolt.

All the reviews love it
I have considered it.

If I could get the internal RX I would've already.

However just like Ultra Magnus the armor is ugly, back sucks and the shields are dumb. I just want the stripped down inner bot mode.

At this point I think we Gundam fans need to expect it to be sub only going forward.

Even Warriors Reborn was subbed.

Yup.

I'm just mentioning Eng sub since the person I quoted seemed to have never heard of Gundam Breaker 3 and might have thought it to be Eng Dub.

Lol.

There is nothing more gratifying then getting that response from Transformer fans about Twin Prime Magnus :)

Seriously though I'll g FA but I will only build the bot and saber and then give him an RX 78-2 rifle for maximum cross over appeal. Just waiting for the right price.

The transformation is badass
