G Gundam at least has memes and a funny dub, I guess. It's just dumb fun to the point that I kind of just divorce it from Gundam altogether. It's the kind of show you watch drunk with a bunch of drunk friends.
As for Age, I didn't care for it. Like, at all. There are a couple of designs I like, but they're really few and far between.
Question about RG stickers: Would it be wise at all to perhaps do them all before I put all the parts together? Like I finish the two legs, then do all the stickers for them before moving onto the torso?
I don't know why but that thought just occurred to me.

Like, sticker stickers? The foil-backed ones? If so, you should be putting them on when the instructions tell you to, which is usually whenever you're cutting a piece of the runner that's going to have a sticker on it.
Oh hey, since everybody was talking about how great the Legilis is, here's some mediocre pictures of one!
Oh, hai Legilis.... Nice swords BTW. Wanna' be friends?
OK I GUESS I'LL JUST GO THEN
Look, it's so agro it's even fighting with my crappy Kamfer Amazing.
So yeah, it's a pretty good kit; nice range of motion and surprisingly stable without a stand.
Now I just have to wait until my brother finishes his kitbash so we can start on that Unicorn.

I think? Not really sure on the differences with RG ones compared to others. Only thing I know is that they're not the water decals.
Well, the instructions do it for a couple of them. But really the vast majority are extras and explained in images on the back of the manual where they show you where to put them all.

Yeah, you can do the "extra" ones whenever you want, really. There's not really any benefit to doing it mid-build, but there's also no downside, so just do whatever sounds more fun. : )

Gotcha. I didn't think there would be an issue but wasn't completely sure. I've never really done the full stickers before, though I haven't done too many RGs. Working on Wing Zero right now and just doing the stickers. Strike Freedom up next after that.

Kind of bummed since I accidentally snipped off a part of the backpack where you would put the handle for one of the beam sabers. So he has only one now sadly.

Basara's a lunatic, I liked Gamlin more. I finished Zero and minus the ending I rather enjoyed it. I have no urge to try continuing it for the time being. The pacing just seems bad so far and the characters are boring.
I'm on the second ep of the The Origin and I'm at the assassination attempt and I'm sitting here trying to figure out why Char is playing Dark Souls. Oh shit it's Mirai. Oh shit it's Amuro, with a non crazy dad.
Victory is weird. Up to about episode 9. I felt like it was really moving fast in the first few episode but then the reordered episodes threw that pacing out the window and now I feel like it hasn't really gotten anywhere in the first 10 episodes.
I don't dislike it though. It's very different to early UC stuff.

It takes a bit to kick off. I have to watch it again but I don't think the plot starts moving till he starts looking for his parents. It'll get to a ppint where you will wish the plot didn't move though...it's really like the most fucked up Gundam series.

The beginning is certainly jarring. But it setitles down.
V is controversial. I love it. I don't love the ms designs, besides the v and v2. BESPA suits blow. It's a shame, because F91 had god tier suit designs.
I love the artwork for v, otherwise. That and the music. It's a very peaceful surreal show in a weird sort of melancholy way. I see where the complaints are but it really did resonate with me.
Plus it helps that it got me through a tough time in my life. I was watching it while working on a really fucked up project during breaks. It kept me sane. That and IU.

But the Shokew! And the Gengaozo! I really like the bug motif that Zanscare had, when they didn't go full wacky on the wheels or mobile armor. It's a shame the Zanspine was only an MSV and not in the anime.
I even liked a lot of the Federation suits, even if they didn't show up too often. The Javelin is probably one of my favorite GMs because of its shot lancer backpack.
I built the RG Sinanju a week ago. It needs a stand. With the backpack on, it won't stand up on its own. I don't know if the toes or kneecaps fall off because I cemented them down. It can be a little fiddly to pose, tougher than the two other RGs I've built, Exia and MkII AEUG.
It's also a big boy, but all the 1/144 Unicorn kits I've built are rather big.
I wish it had all undergates, because it's a shame to see gate marks on the glossy red surface. But it's still very pretty. I don't regret building it at all, and right now, it's at the center of my main Gundam shelf.
Also, I bought the System Weapon 007 kit that contains a Rocket Bazooka, and with very little modification, I combined the Sinanju's Beam Rifle with the Rocket Bazooka to make that monstrosity of a weapon that the RG Sinanju's arm can't even lift.

I actually quite like all the MS designs so far, if only for them being so different from anything that has come before. I'll admit the helicopter arms were weird at first, and I could do without the motorbike tanks.
The artwork is really great, it's so crisp and colorful. It's making me dread going into G Gundam after this since every version of that I've seen is really muddy and dark despite having pretty decent animation.
Regarding the RG sinanju
I heard that the waist is kinda weak due to how heavy the backpack is, apparently placing the rifle in it's waist's pocket somehow fix the isue .

Wait a bit on g gundam. It's coming on blu ray. The trailers for the release look great. It will never look as good as v, but it will be a definite improvement

I love beam rotors. They help you fly, can act as a beam shield, and act as a beam buzzsaw, all in one. Sure, they look a bit silly, but it's just another thing that gives Victory its own flavor.
There's a really great lack of stock footage in Victory, which really makes a lot of Uso's fights pretty innovative and creative. A lot of the stuff he does in battles are really fun to watch. A shame about the lack of shading though.

Oh serious? When is that set to drop? I will very much likely hold out on it if that's the case. Because what's out there at the moment is pretty awful.
Edit: Okay, first half is already out with the second half next month. The trailer is like night and day with previous releases! I'll wait on it to all drop before I start on it. Will probably do Gundam Wing after this then.

I think I'm just depressed enough to do a rewatch of Victory Gundam. I love it but your life has to be in a certain amount of "in the toilet" for it to resonate with you. "Winners Forever" is such an uplifting OP you even see Uso fucking bird running. "I"m happy my hometown got bombed." Yeah Katejina...just air that out in public. Is Dorothy like a more toned down Katejina?I forgot how relaxing this soundtrack was. What is Chronicle a fucking asthmatic? "This dust, let me put my mask on." Uso is a lot different from Amuro whom wants nothing to do with this war shit. He seems to volunteer himself for it a lot easier, even if it's to keep Marbet from injuring herself more. He's not getting Bright slapped to get him to join in...though yeah I know he gets smacked into the air at one point epically.
The pacing in Victory is so weird. Like you'll have an awesome episode like the defense of Gibraltar and then you'll have something so weird, disjointed and pointless as episode 15.
More of Shakti's nagging to go back to Kasarelia... wait why are Odelo and Warren dressing Marbet up as a terrorist? Where did they even get those pantyhose from? Oh nope, now that Uso is gone Shakti suddenly wants to go to space too. That was quick. What is Fuala even being exiled for again? Is Uso just giving these guys oxygen to prolong their suffering as they drift through space?

Also, began the chronological Gundam Marathon with my father just last week. He's made it through Gundam The Origin Parts 1,2, and 3, and thirty minutes or so of the first Gundam film (Don't have the series on DVD/Bluray.)
He really liked The Origin, generally followed the story without too much trouble. Although some of the significance of things like
Casval switching places with Char
was lost on him initially. When we got to the First Gundam Film I started him on the original Dub, which is what I had seen when I first discovered Gundam.
"Has Zeon sent an army of Roboton Invaders!?"
"Mirai where's the comm. control?"
"Upper panel on the left marked Comm. Control."
"This thing has practically unlimited energy!"
"Smile, take a deep breath now."
"Oh no. I see them and they aren't moving."
We watched thirty minutes, as we normally do for lunch, and he just wasn't into it, wanting to switch to the sub for next time. So we restarted today, from the beginning with the subbed DVD rather than my OLD Video CD VHS rips and he was much more enthralled by events. Although the dated animation is taking him some getting use to after starting with Origin.
I also finished G Gundam with my wife a few weeks back, she loved it so much that I had to buy her a figure of the India Gundam (She's from India herself). I've been watching all the Gundams in airing order, so next up is Gundam Wing, I originally watched and enjoyed Wing as I kid but I've grow to dislike thanks to rewatching it a few years ago. Curious to see how my Wife takes to it. She really doesn't like the vast majority of U.C. Gundam and enjoyed the over the top nature of G Gundam (I think she's a closet Super Robot fan) so I'm curious where she'll sit on Wing since it can be almost comical at times itself. It'll be a bit though before we get to it.
We're still in our first year of marriage after a three year long distance relationship, so we've been (mostly me) sharing various TV series with each other including all the Star Treks, the old BBC chronicles of Narnia, and working on our Anime Review website which is taking up a lot of time this month because of the new season. But I'm denying to see how she takes to Gundam Wing, and New Getter Robo, still need to show her my favorite Robot of all time.
I'd read, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, that there's a feature on one of the DVD releases (or video CD) for Victory that's just Tomino recommending you not watch it and calling it his worst work or something. I don't really like Victory, but good grief when I read that I felt like he was being perhaps a tad hard on himself.
