Is the last part kind of implied in F91, which I saw years ago, but don't remember a thing from. Now I find it weird that Zanscare aren't as crazy as people would like to believe. They got issues, like a lot of issues, but the shows goes to lengths to humanize them. Oddly enough I only found certain Zabi's to be insane and Ginias from 08th MS Team to be crazy.

Just finished ep 19 and Victory is still in my top two with Zeta as my favorite Gundam shows. I was expecting to not like it as much since I haven't seen it in years and was younger when I first saw it, but I'm still enjoying it. Maybe I'm crazy or I just like what Tomino did with it. BESPA suit design isn't even bothering me like it did the first time, I actually find this to be way more of a cohesive show than ZZ.

Yeah I'm in agreement with OYW Zeons to being despicable nut jobs, but the people during the Neo Zeon years just aren't as bad. Sure they dropped colonies still, but they never came off as crazed or committed as the original batch. Those guys were space Nazi's but everybody else just wore the clothes but didn't seem to have the same ideologies. TITANs were fucking assholes though, just drunk on power more than anything else though.

I think there's a lot of good in Victory. I agree that there's some crazy shit in it, but it never kept me from enjoying it. I also don't really see Cronicle as either the villain or as a Char clone to be honest. He's really just his own separate entity that just happens to wear a mask. He's not even Jerid tier as far as I'm concerned cause Cronicle's actually shown to be a nice person, which I think even Tomino went out of his way to show by having Flanders like him.

The Uso and Katejina relationship is probably one of the most unique ones in the Gundam franchise. Char and Amuro might be legendary, but it didn't hit the levels of subtext that Uso and Katejina do.

Katejina wasn't Uso's girlfriend though. I think while watching Victory it was quite clear the boy had a crush on her though. That's why I like what Tomino did with her and Victory. It put Uso in a situation that none of the gundam protags that I could think of have been in.

I've got to get to the more Lupe related scenes though from what I can gleam she doesn't really appear to like older men since she just randomly gunned down a few after having a drink with them. There seems to be a lot of sexual angst in Victory for some odd reason. I guess Lupe is sort of gender swapped Glemy cause he came off as a pedophile to me.

Victory Gundam ep 20. "We don't have the numbers so lets fuck them up using microwaves to give the enemy diarrhea." The sentiment of "just let Junko die" coming from Marbet is a bit on the fucked up side. Interestingly Uso and Katejina are still friends. If Katejina didn't care about the kid she wouldn't have floated through a battlefield to relay the message that Shakti is safe.

Wing is fine. It's like watching UC Gundam without really watching UC Gundam. Has some of the best female designs of the franchise and have fun at the introduction of not Katejina Loos. It's needlessly preachy at times, but I still enjoy it.

I think I just meant on here with that one. I'd never stack it on the same plate as Victory, Zeta and Turn A, but one can easily eat a worse Gundam meal than Wing in my opinion. On another note the music for Godwald vs Uso in ep 22 is fucking immense.

I love the Wing soundtrack. As flawed as Wing is it's practically the reason why Gundam is popular in the states and why the dubs have been consistently good. I grew up on it...well technically my introduction to Gundam is the first 0079 movie but Wing cemented me as a Gundam fan. I pretty much can't hate it.

Just do what I do and form your own opinion about it. I'm supposed to hate Victory based on fan popular opinions, but it's pretty much my second favorite show. I've watched it the least out of all the Gundams, but Victory isn't something you watch every year. You watch it, savor it, give it some time and dive back in with a fresh new outlook and perspective on it.

Yeah, Wing has pretty good OPs and the BGM os descent.
