I was really disappointed in Try. I thought the 3v3 team battle aspect had potential, but the main characters never use it in creative ways, but still manage to win due to punch hard. The characters and plot are far more generic and the Gunpla are less interesting. I almost quit a couple of times, but the series did just barely enough interesting things to keep me engaged long enough to finish it. That being said there is one Gunpla in particular that makes the series worth it.
Yeah, that's generally what I've heard about it, but at least it seems to have enough to keep you going. Just a shame given how great the first season was. Very curious to know which Gunpla it is though. Is it one of the rival teams?
I watched Build Fighters a lot later than everyone else since I originally dismissed it upon seeing what it was since I figured it'd just be a kids show, then got drawn in after hearing so many good things about it. I'm quite glad I did.
I confess when I heard there was a sequel I thought it was going to follow the same cast older and maybe have something happen like a dimensional tournament between the best of Earth and the best of Reiji's dimension, with them having gotten into Gunpla through his experiences and the Chairman selling those ones at the end.
It has singleplayer shit but it's very much multiplayer focused. It's essentially a fighting game.
Just read the OT.

Ah, I confess that lessens my interest just a bit, though it still looks and sounds interesting.
And of course there's an OT. I feel stupid for not looking. I'll have to see if there's one for that Gundam Breaker game too since I'm curious about that one.
