So I plan on coloring my Dahack and was thinking of changing the color of those belt-like cables around the waist to white or even yellow. What do you think, guys?

Painted sample for reference.

I was really disappointed in Try. I thought the 3v3 team battle aspect had potential, but the main characters never use it in creative ways, but still manage to win due to punch hard. The characters and plot are far more generic and the Gunpla are less interesting. I almost quit a couple of times, but the series did just barely enough interesting things to keep me engaged long enough to finish it. That being said there is one Gunpla in particular that makes the series worth it.

Yeah, that's generally what I've heard about it, but at least it seems to have enough to keep you going. Just a shame given how great the first season was. Very curious to know which Gunpla it is though. Is it one of the rival teams?

I watched Build Fighters a lot later than everyone else since I originally dismissed it upon seeing what it was since I figured it'd just be a kids show, then got drawn in after hearing so many good things about it. I'm quite glad I did.

I confess when I heard there was a sequel I thought it was going to follow the same cast older and maybe have something happen like a dimensional tournament between the best of Earth and the best of Reiji's dimension, with them having gotten into Gunpla through his experiences and the Chairman selling those ones at the end.

It has singleplayer shit but it's very much multiplayer focused. It's essentially a fighting game.

Just read the OT. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=756071

Ah, I confess that lessens my interest just a bit, though it still looks and sounds interesting.

And of course there's an OT. I feel stupid for not looking. I'll have to see if there's one for that Gundam Breaker game too since I'm curious about that one.

Looks like the mobile suit designers for the new series is the same ones that did the suits for 00.

That's good news at the very least. Given the concept and the kits shown, I have a feeling the suits and merch is going to be good at the very least.

The best thing about the show so far is that Bandai seems to be taking the merchandising seriously again. The G-Reco line release schedule (and the quality of the some of the kits) was an embarrassment. I'm wondering if they didn't quickly see the G-Reco merchandise line would be a flop and redirect resources here.

Has MG before G-Self. What the fuck Bannam?

Not a MG. It's a new NG 1/100 gimmick line. They have an inner frame like a MG, but the inner frame will be shared between suits. It also lacks a ton of detail and doesn't seem to have an opening cockpit.

Oh good, pardon my overreaction then.

It seems tall for scale? At least the limbs make it look so.

Edit: Just saw the 2700円 price. My bad.

Nice. I guess this design will be quite divisive among fans seeing it's a somewhat bold departure from "classic gundam" but I really, really like it. Hope the show is enjoyable.

It is pretty cool that we got two unique looking gundams in a row.

love the design torso and up, legs look a bit hodgepodge but I guess that is the general theme so it is ok. Really hope the inevitable nonsense moment in this one will be minimal lol.

Why is the new main character so muscular? He looks like a 14 year old on performance enhancing drugs.

Orphaned Martian child soldier who works for a PMC. Lots of opportunities to get fucked up. The circular scars on his back do seem to suggest he has been experimented on before.

Wow...seems like he'll be a darker take on Sosuke Sagara, the trailer looked good and I loved the music.

I just noticed how this gimmick ties into the show. It's supposed to steal parts from foes and add them to its own. What better way to implement that than with exchangeable armor among all units?

I like it too. The overall silhouette reminds me of a Minotaur.

Yeah, I can see that looking at it.

Thinking on this more makes me curious what'll be like if they start stealing parts from other Gundams and incorporating it into the Barbatos. I'm not wondering if we might see Gundams with specialties and once defeated, those are added to Barbatos' arsenal.

Like if it can't fly at first but then appropriates the system of a suit that can or something along those lines.

Yeah, and the whole soldier part plays into the muscles. I'm excited for this, love the design (a lance using gundam?!), and the fact we're getting another main character who is (presumably) somewhat military trained, giving me 08th MS Team vibes.

The same can be said of Wing and 00.

Celestial Emissary kinda seem like assholes.

"We're gonna end war by killing everybody who even thinks of war. Wait, you just saved 200 people? Goddamnit, we're supposed to be killing people, not saving them. You're grounded."

"Even after Celestial Being showed up, there was no conflict over here, so I never really thought it mattered to me. But then... That bus was bombed."

Did Saji seriously forget about nearly dying on the orbital elevator a few episodes ago?

What's there best method for getting them stickers on? I've been having a bit of trouble using just the tweezers and was wondering if there was a better way.

I've seen video where they use xctocutters. Being careful of course. Or using angled tweezers.

You're paying to much attention. I enjoyed 00 season 2 so much because I was not paying that much attention to the dialogue
honest truth

Smirnoff's dumb ass kid and Louise made it damn near impossible to enjoy season 2, fuck those two. It was like the second coming of Hathaway and Quess.

Exacto knife is the best method by far that I've seen. When it comes to water slides, especially, there is no other way.

Thanks, I'll have to see about getting one then. I got a craft knife with the Tamiya basic tool set I got, but I'm not sure it's helping all that much. Need to get one for better getting rid of nubs anyway. Probably some sand paper too.

Actually, is all the stuff in the basic tool set alright? I haven't had any trouble with the clippers but was curious if there were better ones or if those should suffice.

Is it weird I'd forgotten about him until he was brought up just now? What a waste he was.

Athrun really did get the best looking suits, even Savior was cool. Too bad Athrun never boasted that he was three times faster than everybody else.

Yeah, while Strike has about 100 more angles and poses it can do and look cool while doing them, that one pose with the shield being held in-hand straight out, shoulders up, gun held out to the side, and leg straight and back... damn if that isn't a winning pose. All other poses can't compare. .

What's everybody's favorite Gundam game? I'm gonna start up Gundam Warriors Reborn soon.

Federation Vs Zeon

No idea why but it was simple and fun. The fact that you had to not get your mobile suits destroyed played with most of the OYW Mobile Suits from both sides. The Voice Acting and the music. It was just a fun game lol.

It begins...

.. at least I hope it does.

Didn't the release of the blu-ray remasters of SEED/SEED Destiny/SEED everything else start the process of churning out the 2.0 SEED MG kits? Or was that just coincidence?

I really hope this means we're getting new 0083 kits, because I'll shut down my gaming budget for some of the new UC MGs.

I find it funny how the Gundam Meisters in Gundam 00 are willing to kill each other at the drop of a hat while the Human Reform League is so concerned about keeping their comrades alive.

Like Tiera, I think murdering your teammate the moment he makes a mistake might not be the best course of action.

EDIT: Tieria, shut the fuck up.

You're definitely on season 1. Tieria's character growth out paces Setsuna's as far as I'm concerned in that show...especially if you include the movie.
