So Hi Rez Zero is full based on the Manga Zero with shield and bird mode transformation.

Interesting how hard they are going in on that style, I hope if we ever do get a 2.0 it's based more on the Movie variant then what we've come to know Sero as the last few months.

There wasn't a Gyanko in the show, but yes, a female character actually had a Gunpla built in her likeness in Build FIghters Try. The kit below is actually based on that:

Minato is the hero Gunpla deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

I would be all over that RG Unicorn if it wasn't for the Perfect Grade still sitting unbuilt in my house.

What I wouldn't give for an MG/RG of the Tryon 3... Sakai is the best goddamn builder in the entire multiverse

Not a fan of the Fuminas, but I'm weak and I'll totally buy Gyanko.

These are really in the show? I don't remember stuff like this in Build Fighters. So I guess it started in Try?

Super Fumina was one of the 'eh screw it' designs that was shown at the very end of Try just to sell some more kits. Same with the Dom R35, Lightning Zeta, and all that.

We'll probably see a lot more of these in the future with the success of Fumina and Frame Arms Girls.

P-Bandai variant of the ZZ Ver. Ka!

I'm sure I'll end up getting Gyanko just because of how ridiculous it is.

I've never liked the EW Zero and I still don't like those wings, but that Hi Rez design is growing on me.

Man, I just want them to make that RX-78-2 Destroy Mode that's in the final episode. It looks crazy.

Totally forgot about that. I wouldn't mind seeing that come out at least as an HG.

And speaking of the Unicorn, I do like that new RG version, but it seems very intimidating to me at this point. Someday, perhaps.

Wow I just looked this up, couldn't find a picture from GBF (Try?) though. Saw someone's garage kit model for it. God you're right that is absolutely insane.
And now I must have it, screw you for showing me something I can't own =*(

You could paint up a Unicorn kit to look like that right now.

Except for the clear blue parts, I guess.

It would have to be a combo of paint and kitbash. The torso is different from a Unicorn and the psycho-frame would probably have to be recast with clear plastic. It would be a cool build, but high effort.

That torso is the exact same as the Unicorn. Just that front psychoframe part is painted opaque(?) yellow (to match the RX-78 chest vents).

Hm. If that's all from this hobby show, probably nothing I'm picking up. I already have a couple things I'm buying in the next few months. Maybe I'll pick up an RG Unicorn... one of the variants anyway that will inevitably come out, if the kit itself turns out to be ok.

One thing I didn't see anyone commenting on is that the RG Unicorn looks... a little too line-heavy. I can say the final result doesn't look as distinguished as past RGs, but my gut reaction without looking at other pictures is that it's not really more line-heavy - The lines just don't work as well here. That on other RGs the extra lines serve to provide more definition while here they just appear distracting and, because the scale's so small already, there's no feasible way to mute the lines further (for the average modeler to fill in anyway). For comparison, I like the extra lining on Dragon Momoko's take of the PG Unicorn, and that kit has the advantage of a much larger scale so its lines are much thinner relatively and appear to lightly accent instead of providing broad definition.

Putting panel lines on raised edges/corners instead of just groves between panels is something I learned to stay away from. That's what shadows are for. Depends on the kit but some definitely end up coming out with too many lines. Unicorn especially.

Put the order in for a Freedom+Meteor box. Now we wait...

You'll love it, I think. Though I would recommend (if you are able) getting the HGCE Freedom to mount on it rather than the older HG that comes with the METEOR. That old Freedom is pretty much trash at this point, though it would be good to practice painting and panel lining on.

Also, for some reason that inspired me to try something I should have done a while ago. Fit my RG Exia onto my old HG GN Arms Type-E.

Think its time to start grabbing a thing or two from P-Bandai.

This is the first thing that caught my eye other than the MG Altron (SHUN TELL THEM WE WANT MORE!)

Also want a break from MGs. But perusing the P-Bandai store makes me want to jump on all the nonsense things I never paid attention to before like the upcoming MG Advance GX from 00 as well or the MG Crossbone variants.

I really like the look of that Jegan, but I hope the splitter camo doesn't consist of stickers

I'm 5 episodes into Unicorn OVA and I'm not really into it. The music and animations are nice (main redeeming factor so far), but there's too much CG. More importantly, the characters range from mediocre to crap and it's full of teen melodrama that makes me not care about the story much at all. Are the last 2 episodes worth it?

On a different note, Thunderbolt was awesome. Short and sweet.

both meteor and gn arms were re-released and re-packaged to include rg decals. called real color type(being meant for rg versions to be subbed in.

as i posted above, if anyone wants to save money, instead of getting the real color type, you can try and find the RG decals and buy the hg version to save money.

(you can also do the same with RG rogue strike but it costs about the same as getting the RG combo)

Just passed the halfway mark of Seed Destiny. Please tell me it gets better.

If it's any consolation, the point where it's irreparably broken is a point of contention! Most people cite various episodes in the 30s. I personally believe the show is busted for good at 28.
