I think I already posted pictures of my gunpla in the past but I'm back visiting my parents and seeing these in my old room made for good nostalgia. This is about 8 years' worth of MG building, but I haven't touched gunpla for the past 6+ years. I need to get back into the swing of things.

I never did completely paint my models because I still don't have a proper hobby room with good ventilation. I would love to try airbrushing when I get the time and space. But I did hand-paint certain parts. Gundam eyes took the most time, amazing it turned out okay with just a small brush and toothpicks lol.

We're getting to the point where the Nu almost has to be the next PG. Assuming Iron Blooded Orphans doesn't become a SEED level hit, what else are they going to do next? Unless we start seeing 2.0 or Origin versions of the Zaku II or RX-78, Nu seems like the next thing to do.

Nu would be day one for me. I consider it to be an objective work of art that transcends gunpla. The MG is so big already, think about how beastly it would be in 1/60 mode. Sweet Kira Yamato that would be godlike.

Just finished episode 32. Here they introduce Haman Karn, she seems lovely. They also introduce Mineva Zabi, to which my first though was: Hey isn't that that chick from Unicorn Gundam? And after a quick gundamwiki search. Yes, yes it is the chick from Unicorn Gundam. Huh, really weird seeing her so little. Going to be interesting seeing what she'll do as a child, especially since I don't remember what she did later when she was older besides find that box that apparently didn't end up doing much? I forgot most of the Unicorn Gundam plot.

Anyway, Char gets outed to everybody. It's weird seeing people who didn't immediately know that Quattro Bajeena is just a made up name but then again with all the weird names in Gundam maybe it's not that far fetched. It was odd seeing him lose it so much as well as just seemingly get bodied when he sorties? What happened to the Char that was OP? Finally, sucks that the AEUG seems to just have shit luck. Meeting with Axis went south and the Titans were just waiting in the wings for an attack. Jesus, seems suspicious how well that worked out, except it didn't because the Titans are incompetent as hell.

Brushes can be very useful, though I use gundam markers to detail my kits.

It does seem strange how we still haven't got it. Before I would have said that maybe they didn't release it because it's a pretty big suit but then they released Unicorn.

I think it's just been a victim of the long time between PGs and the schedule. First, Bandai was doing the staple suits like the RX-78 and suits that were at the peak of their popularity, like the Wing Zero. Then SEED got huge and Bandai had to do those while the iron was hot. Bandai then thought that the 00 was going to be the next big thing and rushed that out. That flopped, so they had to go to the old standby (And for some reason, one of the most popular suits of all time) Strike Freedom to make sure to make some cash. Finally they cashed in on the huge popularity of the Unicorn while the getting was good.

Nu is unlucky because its popularity is eternal. Bandai doesn't need to get it out there to make the most cash out of a PG like they did the Unicorn. If you look at the major suits Bandai could be doing, it kind of seems like it might finally be the time for it. That is, unless Iron Blooded Orphans gets real big and pushes it out again.

I think the big question now is, what is the PG Schedule going to be going forward? It's so erratic. Are we going to see another new mold next year like the 00 to SF gap or will it be a 4 year or longer wait like SF to Unicorn? The seeming huge success of the PG Unicorn kind of gives me the feeling we could be seeing PGs fairly regularly for a bit.

Yeah. Nu is definitely the "free money" button, which is why it keeps getting pushed out. Like I said earlier, I think we might finally hit the time it can fit with the next PG. I seriously doubt Barbados will get a PG and I don't think we'll see "Origin" RX-78 and Zaku-II until if/when they re-adapt 0079 post the flashback arc.

Got WZC NX Edge coming this week. Haly would be proud. Also grabbed the Jehuty Deformations which should come next month and pre-ordered Anubis Deformations that's coming out next month as well. Should look good next to my NX Destiny.

Char lost his shit so bad, I think it's mostly because of his history with Haman and what she's doing to Mineva...don't expect much out of Zeta's Mineva, she's just a pawn. I find the AEUG to be so behind the technological curve it's not even funny. The only top notch suits they had were the Zeta, Mk II and Hyaku Shiki and the later two mostly got by on luck and piloting skills. Paptimus churned out so many new age prototypes that it wasn't even funny and the only reason why Jerid never beat Kamille in any of those was because Jerid didn't have the potential that Kamille did.

OMG SD Jehuty and Anubis! are they model kit or action figure? I already have revoltecth ZoE but I really want those chibi ZoE as well now, XD

oh and here's SD Sazabi that I helped my friend with, and my Exia repair. have been pretty productive these last weeks, HG Kshatriya next, although I'm, starting to get busy soon, so not sure when I'll have time to make it.

Wow, a lot of those SDs looks really nice. I hadn't really considered getting one, but maybe I'll look into it at some point.


On a complete side note, I became curious about Zoids models while making a list of Gunpla I wanted to get eventually and those are far more expensive than I would have expected. They do look very nice though.

He did, but it still doesn't explain why he isn't going around being an OP newtype and curb stomping the shit out everybody else. I figured as much about mineva though.

It's weird to see how little resources the AEUG has and yet they still manage to mostly check whatever moves the Titans make. Just shows how incompetent they really are, if that was the Federation's "elite" unit then jeeeeeeesus, no wonder Zeon took that L so bad. Shit is embarrassing. Jerid is just a shit pilot, at least Kamille seems to learn from dumb things he does wrong, Jerid so far has remained an impulsive idiot who just happens to be lucky somebody hasn't put a hole through him yet. That image is great btw.

Also, just finished episode 34 and holy fuck. Reccoa really doesn't do anything worthwhile. Botches two different spy missions, then goes on to get the Methuss blown up because she was basically literally spacing out. Bright doesn't always make the best choices but what the hell man, that woman is a danger to everybody around her. I almost think she's doing all of this shit on purpose when she made that dumbass monologue about how she only feels alive when she's in dangerous situations. Funny that's the case since she seems able to survive every situation she should have been killed due to some other character's mercy or you know actual competency. Yeah I know she betrays them later, or maybe soon, since I spoiled myself by mistake before but still, that shit was definitely not planned. Woman is just insane, though I guess in a way it's a good thing to send that waste of space to the guys who put Jerid and Potemkin Sharingan in charge.

Bright in Zeta and ZZ makes some dumb as fuck decisions. He let's Fa pilot for Christ's sake. Fa. Reccoa is just terrible and doesn't have half the integrity that Emma does. Regarding Char not owning these newtypes? He's not that strong of and Newtype from what I remember, I think Kamille was a stronger Newtype than him and he paled in comparison to paptimus and Haman. I honestly don't consider the Titans to be "elite" they're honestly just massive douche bags with authority. What the fuck is even the purpose of the Methuss? It's the worst looking suit in the show and it performs like shit.

Well at least Fa stops doing it after a while, and you can't completely blame her for wanting to try to help, especially when the AEUG isn't exactly in the best position resources wise. She doesn't fuck things up as bad as Reccoa but yeah they're both awful pilots. Shit, when Katz is a better pilot than you you know something is wrong.

Yeah, AEUG is definitely trying to give off those Rebel Alliance vibes. Hell the only thing ruining this whole situation is that the bad guys use Zaku's because...they're the bad guys easier to control than GMs.

Katz had a good amount of simulator experience, Fa was greener than a Zaku's paint job. Fa cared enough to risk her life for the cause and got a little better after Emma smacked the piss out of her for being impulsive...ZZ didn't have enough slaps though...that crew was just too out of hand.

Got D-Ezaldee yesterday and started working on him. I love his design but my biggest gripe with the model kit is that this one relies on too many stickers when another piece could've worked.

That Zeta DVD set has a suit on it only used by Amuro in a CGI short. That sure doesn't put points in that set's authenticity's favor. Maybe I'm wrong and they did put that suit on the cover of a set in some other territory, but seems unlikely to me. I also can't find any records of that cover on reverse image search.

Also, the cover is literally just the MG Zeta 3A's boxart with the Zeta logo and Amuro's picture slapped on. I can't imagine that making it onto any legitimate set.

The worst thing you can do with your villain is to spend 20 episodes cutting to them sitting on their ass and doing nothing but commenting on stuff that's actually happening while talking about a vague agenda without disclosing anything about said agenda.

The big bad guy of 00 season 2 is a shrimpy little green-haired kid who did nothing in season 1 but stand around, hack a computer, and taunt his even blander mentor. And his name is fucking Ribbons.

They should have kept Alejandro Corner around longer.

Yeah, he was being manipulated by Ribbons, but at least he attempted to do shit.

Plus, golden pilot suit, golden mobile armor, golden beams, golden gun.

Speaking of color fetishes, I love Demar Griffe in Gundam X and wish he wasn't killed off so quickly. I was not expecting his hilarious kung-fu antics.

00 would be served simply by doing more season 1 and none of the crap of season 2. A S2 that stared Graham's team, Alejandro and Ali al-Saachez as villains would've been epic.

Also for those building gunpla and other plamo, I suggest 2 things.

Get an NT Cutter hobby knife. It's the best period. Sharp, thin blades. Works amazing for detailing and for cutting. Much better experience than with other brands.

Also I recommend panel lining wash with a syringe and cleaning up with a cotton swab. I enjoy it much more than using a pen or a brush and I find cleanup and set up much faster.

Speaking of Chinese bootlegs of Gundam. Around eight years ago I was looking for a box set of MS Gundam with the English dub. This was before one of those actually existed, but I didn't know that. I found a box set on Ebay and bought it. It wasn't until after seeing some of the credits on the dvds did I realize it was a bootleg. The subtitles were awful, but I was watching the dub so it didn't affect me.

Even though it is a bootleg, I love this thing. The box is dope.

I have bootlegs of Z and ZZ from ~2001ish I think. Boxes are nice actually but yeah the subtitles range from passable to downright hilarious.

I don't think I even finished watching Z before the official release came out years later.
