I still think that Raine is one of the better gundam girls since she's amazing at what she does, and while yes it is a support role, it's shown that without her Domon is fucked. She's a capable warrior on her own right, aside from I guess the ending, and that one ridiculous mobile trace scene, she isn't really sexualized from what I remember (though I could be wrong since it's been a while since I watched it and it wouldn't surprise me if it was the case). I also really like Fa, and Four. Mirai and Sayla are also cool and while I like to poke fun at Allenby fans I enjoy her as well.

I pretty much greatly dislike all Wing suits except maybe tallgeese. But the Wing gundam, with the angel wings, and the deathcythe gundams are the peak of awful design. Jesus they look godawful. Also fuck heavyarms for taking Wolfwood's weapon in that manga redesign, some bullshit.

Ain't nothing ridiculous about hating Wing. It's as big a mess (and in a lot of ways, bigger) than most AU Gundam shows. It has some good points, but on the whole is definitely in the 'bad' spectrum of Gundam series.

Is it bad that I am thinking of buying another MG Aegis so I can pose it in MS mode, too? Aegis has always been my favorite Gundam, but it wasn't until the MG in 2012-13 that I think it could be objectively viewed as a gorgeous unit. Given, I became a fan of Aegis in 2014, but even I can see that the earlier versions were really suffering from bad proportions.

I was playing Gundam Musou Reborn recently and was stoked that they used the 2012 remaster MG as the model for Aegis. Thank god, because look:

The only thing that I don't think is great about Aegis is the gun. Way too big and unwieldy. I found myself always having it point away from the body/hypothetical target and go for shield-focused poses with the shield in hand like this, so I now have that gun in a baggie and have the 4 beam effect parts on.

Another point about Gundam Musou Reborn is that they used the retconned Zeta ending. Surprised me! But, even if I personally like ZZ, I realize that having it as canon really complicates the story to the point that it's hard to suspend disbelief. I much preferred Zeta Haman to ZZ Haman. She was kind of a pragmatic, skillful strategist in Zeta, but over-the-top comically evil in ZZ. So, I started thinking... ZZ is gone from the game, but CCA is still in. Is CCA perhaps a timeline in which ZZ doesn't happen? Seems like it might work better...

I prefer the mook suits to the Gundams in Wing and SEED. Both series have fantastic scrub suit designs, and it's nice how they keep getting better and better in Wing.

I have no problem with Raine at all and I do enjoy, she's just never high up on my list cause G is never in my head when I think Gundam, but she cool. Mirai secretly held White Base together and never divorced absentee husband Bright Noa. Sayla's cool just wish there was more of her. I actually do like Allenby a lot, I need to rewatch G sometime I don't like some of the side characters but it's still a legit show...I swear the American dude was my least favorite and I do not like that design, favorite's are Master, God, Spiegel and Dragon.

Chidodee is the only serial woman slapper in G Gundam. Show has very little sense getting knocked into youngsters, though Master and Schwartz do lay a good verbal beatdown.

I think it's pretty obvious my favorite gundam from G is Spiegel. Aside from him I like Maxter's absurdity, I think Dragon is pretty cool, and I really enjoy Nether because I mean c'mon. Oh and Fuunsaiki as well. Best horse gundam. Master is cool but I'm not crazy about it, same level as God and Shining in my opinion. Good designs but nothing extraordinary. I really like Rising though for whatever reason. It has a naginata and a bow and a shield all in one. It's great. I really like spears/lances/halberds.

I'll give you Shadow. It's in my top ten designs and ties with best from G with Shining from me, just hate the head design on both.

Love the Sailor Venus Custom but you get zero points when it's so blatant.

Rising is my darkhorse favorite of the Neo Japanese designs. I don't think either God or Shining is A+++ material, but I do love God (though I prefer the Burning name for whatever reason, despite seeing it subbed first!)

Tequila/Spike Gundam is my favorite oddball one.

I also love Tequila gundam, for it's name and because it has a sombrero with a shitload of guns in it.

My most disliked gundam from G is probably Rose, though I don't like Bolt all that much either aside from it's signature weapon.

Wing Ew takes the good about Zero (body) gives it a better color scheme and way better Wings.

D-Hell, I don't have a problem with it's okay. However it's lack of Armaments it's all about cool and the Bone Scissors and Hyper Jammer is is only worth so much when it lacks overall strength and Zero can easily out power it.

I really like the stupid feathers. I actually prefer them to the plain metal wings. I think it adds to the personality. I also like the colors, but of course that's just opinion.

My big problem with the Wing EW is that the rifle isn't anywhere near as cool as the Twin Buster Cannon.

They both scream EDGY 90s EXTREEEEEEEEEME to me so, I find them to be cringeworthy instead of anything else.

Also, I have a hard time believing somebody likes any character more than the first lockon in 00. He's the only fun one, in the entire series.

I like them because they embrace full Super Robot silliness. My problem with the Okawara Wing stuff is that it tries to walk this line between real robot and super robot. It makes them either look like a real robot that doesn't make any real world sense or a super robot that's pretty boring. I like that the EW stuff just takes those super robot aspects and run with them.

It's also Wing finally admitting it's not a real robot show, but a super robot one.

Aegis is irresistible but you made the superior choice. MA is best mode (mine's proudly in 'open' MA mode, claws outstretched and Scylla ready to fire). If you've got the shelf space for another of the same kit and want it that much though, go for it.

Disagree hard on the gun though. I love the rifle for its length, its elaborateness, and that lovely molding of the Aegis' designation # onto the side of it (I just wish the MG could hold the thing OOB).

Finished my decent into darkness known as Love Live! Half the reason I did it was the assumption that some random person on the street might ask me: "HEY HOTSHOT! Who's the best Love Love! Character!?" when I got to Japan next month lol. Least that's the rationalization in my mind.

Gotta watch G Reco or something to get it out of my brain since I still have yet to watch it... something with giant robots. The rant I went on about the show in anime gaf was a dark sign I just realized haha.
