did the rg release yet? i like the feathers but alot of people like series version better.
RG Wing EW is out. It's still an Endless Waltz design and not tye TV version.

In fact of the four main Wing Gundam's EW is the only one to truly never be animated.

I just shipped mine along with the MG of Wing EW.

Zero EW is great for posing and shelf presence. I just think Wing EW has better colors, looks more like a weapon of war and that shield is amazing.

yeah, one guy said the same exact thing. i thought it was the tv version but didn't look into it. post some pics when it arrives =)

Ewww Perfect Strike might be the worst animated thing in Gundam.

Just dont get it....way to much going on.

Doesn't beat my XN[T] Raiser Seventeen Sword G. :D

Lol. Ive foun OO designs horrific at their base.

However that is weirdly because I hate tge look of GN Drives and their weird Madona Boob cone shape.

That said Id take your knife on knife on knife Gundam there every day over Power Mode Red Frame and its moon size Katana.....holy crap what a load of stupid nonsense.

G-Bar Jaburo is the name of bar. It is separate from the Gundam Cafe in tokyo, Jaburo is own themed bar in susukino in north.

It's actually literally right next to a very expensive and high end soapland and pink salon.
Across it are some massage parlors cause it is the redlight district... It around some more sketch stuff for a pretty harmless bar. but i did not go inside, just passed by and was amused at where it was located.

according to tablelog these are somethings offered.

With my partner after Round One to an actual good place, Daruma, to eat and get drinks, and go out to enjoy ourselves in private before we fly back for school...

I'm pretty sure some of the businesses around that bar offer services in Sayla and Char and Amuro cosplay. Or Gundam Hammer if you're into that sort of thing.

See, I told all you guys that Kira and Athrun is the best relationship. How the hell is Cima behind Lacus? That shit just will not stand!!! Same with the mobile suit list, they need to stop pleasuring themselves to Freedom over there.

Got some new kits!

The plastic chain that comes with the Orphans option set 3 is pretty nifty. It's a fully workable chain, the links are individually molded to not be stock together as one plastic piece. Not bad for a 500yen kit.

oh nice! you have the rg wing gundam EW as well.

actually quite a few people based on their favorite characters and pairings. if doujin from comike and pixiv are to go by too.

I don't think these count as scans.
Wing Zero has fallen in recent times.

Before the start of Frozen it appeared in Top 5 multiple times.

I wanted to use the $10 in store credit I've had at R U Game for over a year so I bought a model kit. My first ever.

I derped. Hard.

The thing is already assembled. I am now the proud owner of an Altron Gundam I did not build.

wait, you brought a kit that was pre built by accident? that's crazy

Lol I had to stop buying kits after the v2. I only been collecting since August but already have way to many.

Going to wait for the mg freedom 2.0 and new thunderbolt mg kits before I dive back in.

Got my big box of kits today. Did a quick and dirty build of the HG Barbatos.

Hand painted all the details. First time I've done that in a while. It's a mess in a lot of places, but it was good practice and looks good from anywhere but super up close. That kit is really cool. It's a really fun and interesting build. The fact it basically has a nearly full inner frame at a HG price is crazy. It's also really interesting that they give you two different arm parts so you can make Barbatos in either its initial or complete state. Also, it's super posable. This is mainly due to the base design having so little armor. The lack of ankle armor allows you to pull super crazy wide stances.

On the negative side, there are a ton of details that need to be painted or stickered. The chest part in particular looks awful with the flat sticker they give you. Important details like the yellow trim on the shoulder armor are also left out. I almost wish they would've ditched the extra parts for the initial Barbatos form and used those to do better parts separation on the final design. Once you put a little work in, though, it's a really nice looking little MS. The HG IBO line looks really strong from this build and what I've seen of the others.

I've been longing to get back to gunpla and figured the RX-78 MG 3.0 is the safest option. In building it, all but the hands were second nature. The hands got fancy.

... so, i'm not sure if this is the right thread to ask:

Is there anything like Gunpla, which isn't ... "Gundam" (or anime / mecha) in general?

My brother's way into Gunpla and i adore the complexity and all the moving parts of those sets.

I'd love some "crafting" stuff that is:
- no glue required for assembly
- each set should take a few hours to build and have a decent price / build time ratio (building a Lego set just goes way too fast, and the ones that take a good while are hella pricy - i feel like the build time vs. price ratio is like ... 50€ / hour with Lego sets)

i treat myself to these few Star Wars lego sets a year and i'm having a great time building them because of the rather meditative building process; and the time-lapse videos of the build.

So - what other 'lines' of non Gundam - or more specifically non-mecha (like ZoE, etc.) plastic modeling kits could you recommend?

no idea if i'm asking for something that doesn't really exist.
But thanks in advance anyways.

Bandai has a Master Grade figurized line.

So like a Gundam MG but for anime characters like Goku from DBZ and Bunny/Tiger from Bunny and Tiger.

Yeah I wish it required less stickers but this was my cheapest kit at 13 bucks so I can't complain to much

For things like Metal Gear and Zone of Enders Kotobukiya deals with model kit that Bandai does not cover.

Bandai has kit for Pokemon and Digimon and Star Wars and Valvrave and a lot of their other licenses. Even One Piece boats. They have Yamato battleships from 2199 too.

Kotbukiya has models for other robots for more niche brands.

Almost all modern model kits for robots do not require glue and can be made from just the runners. You are usually given seals and decal for detail, Bandai you usually do not need to paint a kit just a few details. Kotobukiya you need to paint more but generally looks okay.

Tamiya and Hasegawa deal more with model planes and boats and tanks, more real world kits and those require a lot more skill.

For licensed robots and other things with Bandai and Kotobukiya it is more streamlined.

Bandai Star Wars kits.

Because of new licensing restrictions, those kits are harder to import to America and some countries. You will need to look harder to obtain these kits. It was easier a few months ago it was just implemented recently.

These are pretty good kits, they even have the new Storm Trooper and Kylo Ren from the new Star War. It will just take more effort to get hand on them.

that looks decent for a quick build. you can always go back and clean up the reds later if you decide to put more into it.

definitely panel line and sticker them, easiest way to bring out the details w very little extra cost or maintenance. i see you started a bit of lining...

what other kits did you grab?

It really depends on what you're interested in building. It can be hard to recommend without knowing what you're looking for. Bandai Star Wars has already been mentioned, but if you're looking for cool planes and stuff you can also consider Hasegawa's Macross kits. Bandai also does Yamato 2199 kits for spacecraft which is pretty cool. Any of these models will probably take you several hours at least, or a weekend, or a week or so if you just spend a bit of time every night on weekdays. They're good value.

Built the Top Fighter of the V2 today. This kit shows the leagues of improvement Bandai has made since the original V kit. Transformation is finicky, but it doesn't feel overly fragile and doomed to break after a few transformations like the first. Very impressed so far.

I've gone lightly over all the lines so far, but I definitely need another go at some. Photo isn't perfect at picking the small details in the dim light either. Helps hide the imperfections, haha.

The other kits I got were the MG V2, the MG RX-78 Origin, and the HG Gusion.

I want to talk about the SEED episodes I just watched but I'm utterly exhausted so I'll wait until tomorrow.

They were awesome, though.

Paycheck this week, common MG Infinite Justice stay on that shelf just a few more days. Its been sitting there since I got here, just one more week, I promise I am buying you this time!

Also going to attempt to make this Lightning Gundam Z 2 this week. A few parts at a time instead of all at once like I usually do.
