I snagged some LostWinds codes from Starbucks.. grabbed a few extra since they raped me on the price of their new mocha cookie crumble frap. My fiancee wanted to try it -- otherwise I would have said thanks but no thanks when the dude said I owed $6.12 for a grande. Motherfuckers...

I got a free code from MDavis360 for Lost Winds. I think I like the game, and I'll probably finish it...But I can't make heads or tails of if I like it or love it yet.
Luckily it's a pretty short game which I liked, considering how many iOS games I get I rarely finish any.

Man, I love Lost Winds. Already finished both games on the Wii, but it's such a perfect fit for iOS. Plays great and it looks better than ever. The atmosphere, art direction and level of detail on these games... lovely. One of my favorite franchises on the Wii. Hope Frontier gets to do another one, though I wouldn't hold my breath.
As soon as I finish this I'll grab the much improved sequel and double dip on that too.

The iPhone 4S and iPad 2 versions have particle effects, more lighting effects, and more misc effects. The iPad 3 doesn't have any of that - just a higher resolution. Definitely has more going on in the 4S and 2 versions, which look awesome in action. Especially the particle effects and heat distortion. The iPad 3 version looks incredibly sharp at such an insane resolution, but it looks way more flat.
I still haven't decided which device I'm going to play it on. I wish the game supported iCloud saving!

Appreciate the impressions and screenshots comparing Nova on the various iOS devices. I think I'm going to pass on it at least until a price drop or they fix it up for iPad3.

It was fucking insanely good. I never get whip but they have CHOCOLATE whip on this one. I couldn't bring myself to have all of it though when I got to the bottom.. it's so bad for you (the whip is like half the calories typically, lol).

My normal order is a Grandé Carmel Frap, Skim Milk, No Whip, No Drizzle. Sometimes I'll get the Venti if it is a Saturday and I have to get up early to coach lacrosse.
But this thing...this will be a dessert, and I will go all out. I am excite.
May go out and grab some more and possibly get a drink there lol. I really should take more advantage anyway since it's literally a walk across the street from my house and the codes are just sitting there.

It isn't a normal one that's for sure. I'm glad I work until five, otherwise I'd be getting a frap every damn day. I try to limit starbucks runs to once/twice a week.

I finished this last night. It was great fun but it was balls hard at the end. Amazing for free though.
Played a bit of Lost Winds 2 today, it's lovely. They gimp you back at the start of the game again though which is a bugger, but it looks like there's a lot of new stuff to this game. Lost Winds is so underrated.

Never heard of this, but I have played Prose with Bros, and it's pretty hilarious.
I'll give it a shot. Its great on these types of games when you get randoms without much to do.

Carc is deeper than both of them for sure in terms of longevity and core mechanics. That said, the timing of the Ascension expansions has been really perfect (new one coming out any day now). I'm a big Nightfaller though -- it's quite different from Ascension.

About 80% of the time I spend on the 3rd gen iPad is spent reading, where the screen only improves the experience. There's absolutely no way I could go back to the old screen.
The other 20% of the time I play music games, and all the ones I play are neither helped nor hurt by the new screen.
I think we're going to be seeing some growing pains while devs figure out what they can and can't do with the new iPad. Though it wouldn't surprise me if we end up something similar to the console gaming situation where visual-hungry games just render at a resolution lower than the screen then scale up. Most people wouldn't even notice as long as they kept text rendering in its own layer.

Sweet, free is good. I was planning on buying this game soon, too. Almost makes me feel bad getting it for free now.

Hearing you people talk about this cookie crumble frap is killing me. I haven't eaten or drank anything in three days. 
It's also a shame iPad 3 owners are skipping NOVA 3 because they can't have it all. It still looks gorgeous - its just a bummer that some effects look better on other devices. Regardless, it's really fun.
