Not sure. The developer hasn't really said. They've hinted at it being a platformer, if I recall. Though it really does look like a LucasArts adventure game from those pics. The site just says "pixel art game."

You won't find a lower sale than that. I say snatch it up, 4.99 is a good price and the Valkyrie & supernova expansions are coming soon.

Galaxy on fire 2 is one of the best space sims on iOS. Star battlion is also a good space arcade shooter like star fox. Oh and stay away from No gravity unless it's free.

Will the expansions be IAP or just free DLC? :/

Messed with Cytus a little. The update claims two new songs, with one song hidden - no one on the leaderboards have figured out how to actually play the hidden one. Looks like some charts that were off have been adjusted to be slightly less off, and the timing windows are still huge. But hey, you can auto rotate!... maybe on iPhone, because I sure can't on my iPad.

Fair enough. I'm still going to wait, for two reasons.

1. My backlog is ridiculous.
2. iPad 2 16GB

I'd be happy with the $5 price, it looks like a great game.

Main reason why i bought the 32G ipad 2....and even that i don't have enough space.

I thought the HD version didn't have Valkyrie yet. That not correct? I already got the regular edition but I'm tempted to upgrade/move my save over.

Valkyrie HD is coming in March and if you already bought the non HD version of GOF2 with Valkyrie then Valkyrie HD will be FREE.

Oops I thought you already had GOF2 SD, this is more for people like me that have the SD and HD versions.

Just buy GOF2 HD and the expansion when it comes out.

Definitely not been a problem for me as of yet. I've completed 467/500 puzzles in Part 1 so far. 26.6% of the total puzzles. Maybe you're further along than I am?

I'm not nearly that far, I have no idea how you can not have a problem yet. Except...

So I went back to re-do a puzzle I know I had logic issues with to prove how much of a hint-abusing cheater you really were. I got as far as the logic block, took a screenshot, emailed to myself, and was about to post it with a sarcastic, "prove me wrong, you hateable hint baby." But at the last minute, I caught myself... let's recheck my logic here... damn it, if that's not a blank, then that other clue doesn't work. Shit. I'm far enough that I'm not going to start over, but now I realize how much of a hint-abusing cheater I am.

In my defense, I was weened on a picross style that emphasized pure speed over multi-level logistical reasoning.

Ok, Crosslogic gets a pass from me... at least until I'm a clueless idiot again.

Carcassonne! It may be "expensive" but it is well worth it. Many of Carc GAF are still playing the game almost daily and have been for over a year.

has anyone had any experience with apple refunding unauthorized purchases? i just looked in my itunes apps and it shows the strange ipad app that the person bought. how do they even prove it wasn't me if it downloaded to my computer? i'm fucking pissed. changed my password.

Ticket to Ride gets almost universal praise, but I must be a bad person for just not understanding how the game works. I mean, I can play it fine, and I understand the basic mechanics, but I get slaughtered by the AI every single time. It's really affected my opinion of the game so far.

I guess I need to read up more on it.

I know neither the iOS-adaption nor the original boardgame :x Also added Necronomicon and Neuroshima Hex to my wishlist! Catan, Carcassonne, Elder Sign: Omens, Ticket to Ride, Food Fight and Sword&Poker 2 were already on it, I'm mostly waiting for them to get cheaper... Carcassonne! It may be "expensive" but it is well worth it. Many of Carc GAF are still playing the game almost daily and have been for over a year.

Carcassonne thread was created almost two years ago! After seeing a lot of others try, I honestly just don't think any other developer will be able to reach the quality of the Carcassonne implementation. Ascension is good though too, Ticket to Ride seems decent as well but I'd recommend Carcassonne over those every time. If you don't mind lack of online multi, Neuroshima Hex is also quite good.

Samurai is a decent implementation I'm just not a huge fan of the game.

I doubt I'd ever find anyone to play the physical game with but I liked it enough to order some since it is the same price as just buying the digital cards through the IOS game.

You'll get a refund. Just be prepared for that card to be banned from the iTunes Store.

I'm sure a little nostalgia factors into it, but there's just some sort of charm to pixel art and the amount of detail you can pack in while limiting yourself to pixels. Modern line art looks great, but proper pixel art is even better, imo.
