Yeah I can't seem to get a code. It has actually given me a code simply saying "null" and now I can't even see the code giveaway anymore. Maybe they're out (hence the database giving out literal 'null' codes).

Edit: Cleared cookies (hate doing this, all my passwords and logins I have to re-enter) and I got a code. Woo.

StarBase Orion is pure crack.

I should have bought it way before.
I start to play and...BAM! 3 hours passed.
And I do not even started with async multiplayer yet.

Noticed FreeMyApps has had the $10 gift card (3000 points) up for the past day or two. This morning there's also a $15 option for 4500 points. Just a heads up for anyone sitting on a bunch of points.

Hey guys, it´s probable that I will buy an iPad next week and one of my main focus will be playing. I have enjoyed gaming on iPhone and I think I want to buy more games and explore more stuff on iPad, I feel a bit limited by the smaller screen of the iPhone.

Could you tell me if it´s worth? I'm worried about image quality and if the experience is better than playing with iPhone.

iPad gaming is great, I barely ever play on my phone these days. I can't speak to the retina support yet, but most games I play seem to have updated themselves recently. IMO, stuff on iPad 2 even looks way better than on iPhone, there's something about that big screen that makes games pop.

I have an iPad2 and as far as gaming is concerned (so, not web browsing and the like which obviously benefit from the bigger screen) I often wish I had an iPhone instead. Pretty much every game with virtual d-pads, buttons, sticks, etc, I feel should be better on a smaller and lighter device, not to mention the majority of them having the controls at the very bottom on iPad which means they're always uncomfortable and that even for many of those that they can be adjusted to be more near the middle height your fingers may then be hiding too much of the action, ie, stay right on top of where enemies and obstacles first appear as you scroll by. I also think I'd enjoy games like Rage HD more on iPhone, the iPad is a bit heavy and unwieldy to move around. But I suppose full point & click adventures are nicer to view on iPad. And games with less than Rage's motion control but still few virtual inputs, like Real Racing 2, although I don't imagine that being worse on iPhone either. I guess, the grass is always greener etc.

Pretty much this. :P

While the problems you mentioned for the iPad are true, the iPhone brings even worse problems. Most notably your fingers covering most of the screen. And while some iPad games have the "virtual controls on the botton of the screen problem" (Gene Effect is the worst offender, ugh), they are at least easier to handle compared to the tiny buttons on the iPhone.

Some games are better on iPhone, though not a lot. Groove Coaster and games that only demand one hand comes to mind.

Still, 90% of my iOS gaming is on the iPad.

I find they compliment each other, I wouldn't want to play Hunters, Ascension, Shadow Era and the like on the iPhone (I have tried) and I wouldn't want to play SCB or Bike Baron on the iPad (tried this as well).

If the 7" iPad comes to fruition that could be the ultimate iOS gaming device.

I pretty much bought my iPad to play jukebeat/jubeat plus, so a 7" model would be a downgrade for me - even the 10" iPad is too small to properly reproduce the arcade controls.

I am finding that I would prefer a smaller device to play O2Jam U on, though... it is very difficult to activate the combo multiplier on iPad as you have to either reach to the top of the screen or shake the device, neither of which are really possible without breaking combo.

I cant seem to get the Fruit Ninja site to give me a good code :( It dosnt work if i let the site do it automatically or if I manually enter the code. I just keeps telling me its already been redeemed :(

Anyone else have this issue?

I bought Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy on a whim. Only had a chance to play the first mission and do a little free flying but, my goodness it's a nice looker. Controls well as well. Really looking forward to seeing it on the iPad 3.

Edit: I'm amazed how many of you don't already own Fruit Ninja.

If any kind soul would like some good Karma today could you PM me a Fruit Ninja code?

My iPhone doesn't seem to be loading the page up, and it didn't load correctly on a coworker's 4G Android. : (

Just won my very first game of StarBase Orion.
Took me 3 days and night playing obsessively...my empire had many highs and lows...at a certain point I was going to give up, but I managed to regain positions, rebuild from the ashes of a great devastating previous conflict, advance in several key techs and finally wiping out from the known galaxy that damn gas-form aliens.
I almost cried in joy when, like 2 turns before our two HUGE starfleets clashed, my sabouters destroyed the enemy biggest Starcruiser and several key factories.

Felt sooooooooo good.

Looks like the Fruit Ninja site is 503'd, or I'd grab a few codes for public use. I imagine the easiest way to sneak more codes out of the site is to use Chrome in Incognito mode (closing and reopening the incognito window after each code).

Is the economy really that bad?!

"I got these Fruit Ninja codes man! I'll suck yo dick!"

Also, I've heard that Apple shut down the bulk purchase program for codes. FreeMyApps wont be able to supply reward games for people to D/L anymore since they can't buy the codes in bulk.

lol.

I already own the game but my friend in south america (chile) has no credit card and no access to stores that sell iTunes cards locally. She loves the lite version of fruit ninja. I got her a code and it didn't work. These code giveaways are good for people like her who can't easily get apps they want. It's not really the $1, but the difficulty for some to legit purchase these apps.

She wanted to pirate it (she doesnt know any better) but I convinced her not to jailbreak her phone. I'll prob just gift the damn thing to her.

I got it free from freemyapps and don't quite get the draw to the game but whatever.

so what are some games you've kept for a long time?

i cleaned up my games that I didn't play and realized that the only ones I havent gone through and deleted are Doodle Jump, Bejewelled and Tetris (the old ones, it still sucks but EA wont allow any other tetris game in the app store)

There were people who got codes that didn't work. In any other situation I wouldn't bother saying anything.

Eh, I'm only jesting with you. I'm just surprised to see a frenzied scramble for Fruit Ninja codes. I thought it was one of those games like Angry Birds or Flight Control that everybody owned already.

Across Age doesn't look like my cup of tea, but it has me in the mood for an ARPG.

Anyone play Fantastic Knight? It's came out last year. It has decent reviews. It's only 99 cents, I will probably buy it regardless when I get home.
