Takes me back.
Thoses games were awesone to my teenage self. Not as good as the OG games main theme or some of Rob Hubbards best work though for me.

It's not a bad choice, you could probably find plenty on C64. So many good tunes, I do also like the intro tune to R-type as well, so well done. That machines punched well above it's weight, great chip.

I would nominated Skate or Die intro music, legendary. Almost anything from the early Cinemare Games like Defender of the Crown or Rocket Ranger. Pretty epic musical scores, movie like.

For me single track it's Skate or Die, Last Ninja 2 overall is pretty solid from beginnig to end.

Yeah it’s one of my all time favorites. I used to have it recorded on a cassette and played it over and over 👌

The music in The Last Ninja 1 is equally awesome, by Ben Daglish.

If you want a sudden boost of happiness in your life, go listen to the music in Krakout, again by Ben Daglish just like The Last Ninja.

Turrican 1 and 2 is up there as well. By Chris Hüelsbeck.

So I'm not the last C64 player alive... that's a relief

I’ll never give up on my love for the Commodore gaming era!

I pledged for the diamond ultimate tier on the Last Ninja collection Kickstarter that went up last year.

And I have a C64 and Amiga 1200 plugged in to the same screen as my 4090 PC.

Best era of gaming!

Has anyone else still got the boxed copy with the shuriken and ninja mask? :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Used to listen to LN2 exhaustively, recorded the whole thing to tape so I could take it around with me. Easily the best soundtrack on C64 imo, and that's some high praise considering the competition.

I also have Matt Gray's Reformation arrange of LN2 from a few years back, it's out of this world.

Ah, the Last Ninja 2 soundtrack. Absolutely one of Matt Gray's greatest bangers ever.

The songs are layered greatly and are insanely long for the period.

Basement (level 4) has one of the fucking BEST switches ever heard in game, from this eerie cave-like moody sounds to an insane slap with arps all over the fucking place. It's one of those YEA BOI moments I had when I heard this for the first time:
