Yeah the character models are impressive technically.
it seems like we will be getting cinematic quality character models in gameplay, at least for the main protagonists....similar to Horizon: FW. If so that will make the game look a LOT more impressive.
You can definitely tell there was a big jump in quality over TLOU2 just watching the first minute of this DF analysis

It's s remake. That's always bound to happen when you touch s "work of art" for a lot of people. If it's not the upgrade it's the soundtrack or some subtle change.
That said...I feel this lromo campaign could be much better if they had simply start with gameplay. That's when the game will shine.

The one thing this new facial animation misses is the angry look she has at the end towards Joel. She is half sad, half angry like 'This mother fucker!' but in the remake, she's 100% sad.
Part of the reason why I liked Tess was that she pushed Joel and didn't take his shit. That's probably why her character is so memorable despite such a short running time.

Her looking cuter/younger imo enhance the fatherly feelings that the game want to push with his story.

Yeah the new model nails better the sad part but it kinda lacks some subtle details, even the eye tremor is less noticeable imo.
Overall the new one looks more realistic (duh).

I took a break from gaming when TLOU came out on PS3 so the first time I experienced it was on PS4.
It was amazing. I gotta say though I'm jealous of those who will experience it for the first time on PS5.

Its a AAA game, in a different engine, with new features. We've seen lessor get charged for full price. I just finished replaying KOTOR, would be like me fucking saying it holds up well imho annnnnd 70 for a remake is overpriced, should be $2 AT MOST /s

The good thing about replaying TLOU Part 1 is it's not broken up into two bloated halves where you lose all your progression. What a fucking stupid decision that was. TLOU Part 1 is definitely the better overall production and game, doubly so once they get the AI and encountered improved

KOTOR is almost 20 years old in PS2 era, the remake is most likely to be like FF7R or RE2 and RE3 - keeping the same frame for story and plot while every system is drastically modernized. It's not the case for TLOU - you get all bells and whiles okay, but the game will play more or less same, let alone it's already having a beefed up version on PS4 with 60 fps and nice graphic already.

I doubt this is eating into any new game's time or budget,Naughty Dog is a bigger team than they were before. They're even working on another project. One of the reasons this remake is even being done is to bring newer staff up to speed on PS5.

The Callisto Protocol character model looks incredible too. Apparently its realtime. I dismissed it thinking it was CG, but this has to be the best looking character model of all time.
