Does '"It can't be for nothing" ring a bell? Or "you can't deny the view"
Last I remember before the
hospital is coming out of the sewers (If I'm remembering that right), then getting there and you know the rest
Does '"It can't be for nothing" ring a bell? Or "you can't deny the view"
People saying the game shouldn't be 60fps? I am confused.
That's interpolated. Interpolation is not the same as having a native, high framerate. There was a .webm file someone posted a while ago. Pretty sure it was 60fps on there.

I don't like it. I personally feel like it doesn't fit with the game. It would be ok on some of the more action heavy scenes I suppose.
It can look weird. Like sped up.
I'm going to wait until I can actually play the game on the PS4 to see how it looks. That trailer is so compressed and stuff.
It's almost the same as watching a movie at 48fps...shit just looks weird and the majority of people are not used to it.
I prefer most games to be at 60fps but TLoU is fine at 30...hopefully they will give people the option of locking the framerate to 30 or 60.
I played TLOU twice and I don't remember ever seeing that scene from the trailer. Wut.
You are no longer flaccid ! And look at you fishing like a Pro BassI hope GAF will strip The Last of Us of it's GOTY title.
And when the Journey PS4 port is announced, that that too will lose the GOTY title for its respective year.
It's a disgusting practice and anyone that is buying this game again is a horrible human being, even though 60 fps is the best thing that has ever happened to video games OMG OMG OMG.
It takes time for a proper port. They can't just emulate it on the PS4. It must be completely re-coded to function on the PS4's inherently different architecture. In addition, like so many people love to worry about, the team size for this project most likely isn't very large, with a modest group of staff at best. Remember also, they are upping the quality of textures, character models and level geometry, lighting, and shadows, updated gameplay and multiplayer, and net code, which likely introduce a plethora of new technical issues, bugs, optimization, and tweaks that are required as a result. Did I mention this is happening at the same time they are learning how to port exotic programming to an entirely new console?
So no, they are not just "upping the resolution" and slapping in some AA, because they can't. It isn't that easy.
Link? I'm not doubting you, I've just heard that the list of improvements includes lighting, character models, resolution and frame rate, with no mention of textures.

(PS4 clip taken from Nerfgun's post)
Dunno if it was posted but, here´s a trailer of the game rendered at 60fps to see how it could look remastered.

How many times does it need to be explained that that's interpolated 30fps and not native 60fps?Ugh i hate 60FPS for the last of us. Doesn't look cinematic anymore. http://a.pomf.se/xsezie.webm
Do we have the exact shot of both console editions at the same time, or is this different than how it panned in on PS3? Was the camera here free roam?

This should sell for $40 retail.
How do I open this on an iPad?
When someone posted a video of the scene earlier it was at a different angle.
Time to buy a PS4.. glad I waited.
i'm getting depressed seeing all the people who say games shouldn't run at 60fps or above. this is what happens when you're exposed to inferior products for so long, you get used to them.

Well its more of would you rather have 60fps or better image quality, lighting, textures, etc. For a game like TLOU many people are willing to give up 60fps for the latter which i personally can understand. Its not just a blatant "no 60fps!" as you put it.
Hmm. I hope it's more of a Director's Cut than a remastering. I would love then to add things they couldn't add before due to processing power or time constraint.
Female hunters would be nice too? Lets see.
I'm well used to 60FPS, and in fact I can't stand when certain games/genres are not 60, but I still think this game (especially its cutscenes) will look kind of dumb at 60FPS. I've seen that interpolated trailer linked above, and to me that looked incredibly similar to actual UC3 60FPS footage - that is to say, it looked weird and bad. In UC3 footage running at 60FPS, it became pretty obvious how there's all these little animation flaws and floatiness, and I have no reason to think it will be any different here. On top of that, they will have to tone down that motion blur the game originally had if it will run at 60, and I really liked how the blur looked.i'm getting depressed seeing all the people who say games shouldn't run at 60fps or above. this is what happens when you're exposed to inferior products for so long, you get used to them.

It's not for everything. I watched a movie on a standard 60hz TV and then watched it on a 120hz or so TV and it was a jarring difference. 120hz made it feel like you were watching real life, and I felt uncomfortable. lol.

They're not going to spell everything out for you. Maybe not every single texture will get get an upgrade but we've already seen evidence of textures being reworked in the trailer.
Why is the PS3 version still $60?Why is this $60? Are they targeting a dollar per frame?
Will wait for PS+.

It would be so incredible if they got this to run at 60fps. I'm already impressed they're going the extra mile and improving the models and lighting because often they just increase the resolution and AA and call it a day with the re-releases.

That's because it's not actually correct. The only video we have is 30fps from YouTube, so there's no real video in 60fps yet. After watching this..Idk how I feel about it being in 60FPS. It looks kinda weird.

Quick question, and I apologize if this has already been answered: will my PS3 saves carry over?
Another question would be does your online stats carry over?
August 8 or something like that.Any recent ideas on the release date, Gaf?
Gracias!
