Michael and Trevor are both white as well, but their far from your generic "hero"
I honestly think GTA V will be a great game but not game of the generation, or even come near GTA 4's metacritic rating (even though I have a gut feeling that GTA V will be the better game).

I don't know about character movement, but their shooting physics are far and away the best in the business, so that's an easy assumption.
Naughty Dog has to find a way to replicate Euphoria hit reactions next gen. YOU CAN DO EET, ND.

I think when all the dust settles the three games I mentioned will be the main contenders. I can see Beyond: Two Souls getting a few awards.....
I don't see how Joel is any more generic than Michael. You can claim that Trevor is just a cliche.

Reviewers will not make the same mistake twice.
I just can't see it happening, especially after the YEARS of shit they've got for GTA IV.
Even if it is a legitimately better game, I guarantee it'll have a lower metascore.

Count me as another who really enjoyed Jade Empire. My memories of it are hazy, but I recall having a blast playing through it.
I actually bought it on Steam last year to refresh my memory and see how it is on PC. The answer? It doesn't run on PC, or at least the version I bought on Steam doesn't. At least I only paid five or six bucks for it.

not all people have made up their decision on whether or not to buy the game until they read the reviews anyways. that's like what reviews are made for you know, so people can decide whether or not to buy a game. all he said was the reviews were pretentious bullshit, he didn't insult the Naughty Gods. that's a common quality in game reviews with a heavy story.

I predict GT 6 will be a much better product than GT 5, but won't come to GOTY awards that Bioshock and TLoU are setting up.
I have no idea on how Beyond will turn out, it doesn't seem fair if I use a means of what I thought of heavy rain to assess it (a solid 8/10 game, was entertaining don't care what anyone says). It could surprise anyone.
There are plenty of great games that bridge that gap. TWEWY comes to mind.

I was outside of gaf for the most part before last year. Various forums and its definitely not just gaf.
One of the most overrated games of the generation, but when theres massive hype trains for AAA games like these I'm not surprised.
if there's one thing videogame journalism have proven to be very adept at, it's not learning from their mistakes.
so what, its my opinion.. TLOU looks epic, but im saying GTA 5 is what im more anticipated for....

The driving still sounds like it will be horrible, and that was mainly what ruined GTA IV.

I have. Grand Theft Auto V looks amazing, but saying it'll be better than The Last of Us at this point is stupid.

It tells you that a massive number of reviewers thought the game was sublime, including one's that can often traditionally rate quite harsh.

I can't imagine GTA V doing 10/10s like GTA IV did. It won't even come close to the most overrated game of the generation (GTA IV) even if it is the better product, which I fully expect GTA V to be.

But we don't know that yet. Even then that doesn't equal generic. Michael is just an anti-hero.
If you haven't noticed but I don't think Michael is generic, I just think it was wrong to claim Joel as generic when there is little known on both characters. It really depends on how each character is written. Nico to me seemed interesting at first but now I think he's a boring character.
Why don't you tell us why that is funny?
