Technically, it's possible that woke average games are scoring equal or higher than non-woke, good games. And non-woke great games, score higher than both. Whether that's actually happening is a whole different debate.

Honestly, what will this game give me over replaying ghost of Tsushima and watching GoY story scenes on YouTube? I'm not saying it's a bad game and that I probably won't enjoy it, but if you want $70 from me, you're gonna have to do more. This is in my $30 maybe someday file in my brain.

Ah yes, the classic reviewers don't align with what I think this game should be rated at (despite not even playing the game), hence they are all bought and/or cannot be trusted.
Personally I thought Spider-Man 2 was overrated, but if you look at the Steam reviews (ignoring the first batch of reviews due to the dreadful pre-patch performance) I, and many others here, would be in the small minority.
This game looks to be in the same vein as GoT, with slightly better review scores, if you like/dislike that game than you would likely have a similar opinion on this one. No real conspiracy here.

They did with Days Gone. Some didn't like that the boring white guy in the game. Besides if they wanted to trash the game and be coy about it that's pretty easy to do. I mean....we could say Eurogamer's 6/10 is about the dev being fired just as much as we can any other pub giving the game a 10/10 for being "woke propaganda".

Spot on. In fact, GoY has the identical metacritic score as GoT: Director's cut. Makes sense as I'm sure a lot of improvements made in the DC carried over to GoY. This is the most uncontroversial score the game could possibly have really.

This should bold well for the direction that Sony is taking with the PS6. I'm a fan of Ray-Tracing, but not a huge fan, and especially not when it's too expensive. I would rather have 1440p at 120hz with the latest PSSR or whatever it will be called in the PS6 version.

Mansplaining isn't sexism per se. It's a man trying to explain (typically to a woman) about what she actually wants or feels, because he thinks he understands better. It's usually quite harmless and we all are always tempted to do it. Condescension is too generic.
